My wife took me here as part of a surprise birthday outing - perhaps it was me spending too much time playing God of War 2 last year but I definitely giggled at how thoughtful she was as we pulled up to Valhalla. Spacious and built with a second floor to handle corporate events and a backroom with a couple of archery courses, Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing is more than just an axe throwing venue - it was also decorated for the Halloween season and had a giant Viking chair and giant semi-animatronic dog for a photo op! It goes without saying my enthusiasm for this place means if you want to learn and do axe throwing I definitely think this is the place you should go to. Chris, the owner was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and showed us the basics of axe throwing posture, safety, and etiquette, as well as what the different size axes, ninja stars, and shovels (yes you read that right) could do. Since it was my birthday, he also gifted us an additional half hour, which I really needed as I quickly found out I was pretty terrible at axe throwing. My wife, however, bested me in 9 games (probably more) as we axed our way out of some zombie themed levels. She had some really clean axe throws at those zombie heads - I now know when the zombie apocalypse comes, I married the right person. read more

My cousins were visiting from Hawaii and suggested we try ax throwing, so I quickly searched for a spot in the Inland Empire with good reviews and stumbled upon this gem! We arrived a bit before 4 PM and found the doors closed, but we patiently waited in the parking lot. Soon, a friendly gentleman arrived and got everything set up, and we were welcomed inside. Initially, it was a little warm since they had just opened, but after about an hour, the temperature became comfortable. The atmosphere was lively and inviting--a perfect place to hang out with friends or for a fun date night! Since it was our first experience with ax throwing, we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was! The cost was $30 per person, which felt like a great value for the experience. Just a heads up: there are about 6-7 throwing lanes, so if you plan to visit on a date night, you might encounter a wait. She worked with her on stance, where to throw from ...and pretty soon , the rookie, couldn't miss her throws. Recently, my sister and I went to check out this place and were pleasantly surprised. Its location looks a little scary because it's on a dark street and there isn't an obvious entrance as the windows and glass door are painted black. But once inside, it's really clean and the front desk team members are really nice and professional. I also thought it was a decent price at $30 per person for an hour. There are multiple items to throw such as the triple edge ax, shovel and regular ax. I had gone ax throwing before, but I had never gotten the opportunity to throw a shovel and that was really cool! I had also never seen an ax throwing location that uses a projector to provide multiple gaming options such as killing the zombies or moving targets. I had a great time and highly recommend this location. Hopefully I get to try their archery section next time. We will be back! read more

Had so much fun! We've been one other time to an axe throwing place and my wife sucks at throwing. Chris the owner of Vahalla took some of his own time to give her some pointers. Now she schools me. This place is very clean, lots of room to throw and didn't feel claustrophobic. It was fun and what separates Vahallas from others is the electronic games you can play while throwing. They also have multiple axes to throw for all sizes of people or ages. We also played multiple games of air hockey. Next week we have plans to do the archery range and throw more axes! Such a fun outing! We went as a group of four with a reservation. It wasn't busy at all for a Sunday so they let us use two of the "bays." They give you a quick lesson on how to throw the axe and how to use the system. Throwing the axes was easier than I thought and a lot of fun. It's about $30 for one person for an hour. They have projectors so that you can pick from a variety of games. Each game was really a ton of fun! They ranged from the standard target, tick tack toe, zombies, ducks, and holiday ones. They also have bow and arrows which we did not do this time around but will in the future. They do have a ton of arcade games. Pricing was okay for the card and credits. The biggest down fall for this was that some of the games didn't work but they also had some that were free play - so really no huge issue there. Overall a super fun time and I would recommend anyone to go at least once. They did give military discounts and is woman military owned. We will be back for more fun and stress relief for sure. read more

This was not my first time throwing axes, but the technology they had was a great experience! The lanes are spacious and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The axe coaches thoroughly taught the safety rules for axe throwing and archery. They have an arcade area for kids. You can try archery, which is cool if you haven't tried it. It's a great spot! This place is great for the whole family! Axe throwing is for 10 and older. They also have archery from 5 and older. They have tons of arcade games. The targets are projected and there are 10 different games to play including zombies and tic tac toe. They sell cool merchandise as well. The staff is extremely friendly and can teach you to throw. A group of us decided to try Valhalla for a birthday celebration and had the best time! The large event room was clean and so was the restroom. The staff were amazing and so helpful. They show you how to hold the axe and how to throw, where to stand, etc. For our group of six, they had us in three lanes so that two would be sharing each lane for fine competition. There was plenty of tables to put our personal belongings and we were able to bring in whatever we wanted (decorations, etc). The room was pretty large and the music in the background was a bonus that made it even more fun. Would definitely go back and recommend for families, parties and even team building events. Had so much fun here today! We originally signed up for archery, which was awesome. It is in a private little area so it nice to have our own space. We decided we also wanted to do axe throwing once we got done with the archery. Both were awesome! They gave us a demo for both archery and ace throw which was great because we had no idea what we were doing. We brought in our own cooler with drinks and had a very fun two hours. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Most of our group was from Long Beach and Orange County area and we all said we would drive out here to do it again. I personally can't compare to other axe throwing places because this was the first one I've been to but my friends who had done it before said this one was more fun than other ones they've done due to the digital aspect of the axe throwing with the game options. read more

Did a team event for 13 folks. Many never throw an axe before. Was able to bring food and BYOB so everyone had what they wanted. We played many rounds of games and eventually held a competition for the best of the group. Lots of laughs and fun along the way.
