Bartender Shawn is always working hard with a smile and will go above and beyond to ensure you are having a great experience. All bartenders are wonderful. Sue makes a great Cosmo martini and Tiff does a great BJ shot. The Alfaros catering is great food. Whether you want to be on the members side inside listening to music or singing karaoke, dancing on the rental side with a great band or outside on the beautiful patio overlooking the mountains....this organization does so much for our community and Veterans. It was our first time here. (guests). The folks were very welcoming and the bartender extremely courteous, friendly - just a doll!!. Facility itself was clean, really nice and spacious. Very Organized, I must say. We were introduced to a few of the staff, given a tour and they basically made us feel at home. I love veterans & folks affiliated, they are the best!! Food smelled and looked good! Heard the cook is one of the best around, based on the aroma, I believe it. :) Like most, they also have Karoake on Saturday nights. And they have a really good selection of beers on tap, bottled domestic & imported beers, wine, mixed drinks and carry Redland's finest beer.....ofcourse Hangar! (It's really not too far from the brewery, you can do both these places and make it a day!!) We were married in early December and in June had several venues we were going to visit searching for the right place for our big day. We knew what we were looking for and figured it would take a while but then we met Joe. Joe runs the legion hall and is just a great guy to work with. He went over pricing, set up, catering options, dessert options, all at such a favorable rate. Myself and fiancé at the time went back to the car and knew we didn't need to go anywhere else, we went right back into the hall and put the deposit down. We met Joe several times after that to plan and he couldn't have been more help. Joe is just a good dude, you get that sense right away, he knows everyone in that hall and takes the time to make sure you are happy. The bartender was helpful and the venue was just what we needed. I had my baby shower at the post 650. off church st in Redlands ca. it was very nice a nice big area they let us come in very early to set up and decorate and they gave us a lot of hours to be there. even not being a member it was good price I really loved it I will definitely have an event there again. They also had a full bar and it was nice not too expensive the bartenders were nice and friendly. the only thing I can complain about is I wish we had total privacy I know some of the members hang out in the bar which is fine but they will come out into our event to watch or take desserts which I wouldn't mind if I offered or they asked but just doing it with entitlement is a little weird. 9/10 read more

We just had a wonderful evening at the American Legion where we celebrated our Wedding Reception. They have the best outdoor patio where my guest enjoyed their drinks. The food was catered by the American Legion staff and Pat the cook is so accommodating and makes the Best Food. The Bartender and Catering staff helped with anything we asked. We felt truly loved. We had a Celebration of Life at the passing of my 97 year old grandmother. The event planner, Joe, could not have been more accommodating and amazing! The hall was spacious, food was delicious, staff was attentive, plenty of parking, and the pricing was incredibly reasonable. This is a very friendly place to go. Felt so welcomed, atmosphere was great. They have ample seating, inviting bar and a pool table. Music playing and even though many seem to know each other they bring you into the group. They introduce you to people and tell you who everyone is, show you around and tell you about all the events they have going on. Which is a lot, seems they have something going on every day of the week. As for age, it is a mix which is nice. I really enjoyed it. Prices for drinks are amazing! read more

We celebrated our sons graduation party last night at the American Legion on Colton ave Redlands. The experience was amazing. First, the hall was clean and beautiful very affordable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They communicated throughout the event and were very helpful with the layout of table. The party was a complete success. 5 stars is not enough. We will certainly recommend this space and these people and rent it for our next event when our other son graduates next year. Great people, comfortable environment, sports playing on the tv, a nice smoking lounge and apparently 50 cent wings and dollar beers on Wednesday! What more can you ask for? Friendly and helpful staff. This location hosted my unit's annual dining out. They prettied up the side room and gave us a memorable experience. The food was good quality and drinks very affordable ( craft beer less than $5). Full bar. Not a great location, but probably keeps costs down. Their regulars are great to have a beer and watch a game with. read more

The American Legion on Colton Ave in Redlands was the perfect place to have my dad's Celebration of Life event. They had a nice sized room with tables and chairs. They also allowed us to decorate the evening before (because no other event had been booked in between). We also brought in our own catered food. They didn't permit drinks to be brought in but the back of the bar was opened up to our room and we had a bartender that serviced us. Worked out really well. They provided audio equipment, but we brought in our own projector for video slideshow. Very nice, friendly staff to work with. Would definitely recommend this venue for an event! read more
