They usually have offerings on Groupon for savings, however, it's also easy to book online from their website and pay directly. Ian was our instructor and he did an excellent job. He was very patient with us and definitely knows his stuff! The lesson started with basic safety and then proceeded to technique. He helped my youngest out by letting her try several different bows to make sure she was comfortable. I was pretty rusty, but ended up hitting the bullseye a couple of times. They usually do a round where you blow up a balloon and try to pop it with the arrow, but they were out of balloons this time. As a result, Ian created a challenge for us where whoever hit the bullseye, or closest to it, would win a Riverside Archery sticker. Surprisingly enough, on the last round, I ended up victorious and the proud owner of the sticker! Yay! They have open lanes for practice at certain times of the day and you can rent the equipment from them as well. Awesome facility and super fun activity! Highly recommend Riverside Archery!

I've visited this shop three different times, and…read moreunfortunately, each visit has left me with the same impression--the customer service and overall treatment just do not feel right. When customers are walking around the shop and clearly looking at products, the staff should be paying attention to them instead of spending time talking with friends who are visiting. On one of my visits, I actually intended to purchase my first bow here. However, after being left alone for over an hour without anyone checking to see if I needed assistance, I eventually decided to leave and purchase elsewhere. The layout of the shop also makes the lack of customer service more noticeable. Most of the bows are located behind the counters, which means customers have to directly ask an employee just to see or hold one. That becomes counterproductive when such a large shop is being staffed by only two or three people, especially when those employees are already busy or distracted. The shop has a great selection of products, which is why I continued giving it another chance. Unfortunately, after three separate visits, my experience has been fairly consistent. A great selection only goes so far if customers do not feel acknowledged or comfortable asking to see the equipment they are interested in purchasing. A little more attentiveness, engagement, and acknowledgment of customers would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

It goes without saying my enthusiasm for this place means if you want to learn and do axe throwing I definitely think this is the place you should go to. Chris, the owner was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and showed us the basics of axe throwing posture, safety, and etiquette, as well as what the different size axes, ninja stars, and shovels (yes you read that right) could do. Since it was my birthday, he also gifted us an additional half hour, which I really needed as I quickly found out I was pretty terrible at axe throwing. My wife, however, bested me in 9 games (probably more) as we axed our way out of some zombie themed levels. She had some really clean axe throws at those zombie heads - I now know when the zombie apocalypse comes, I married the right person.

I figured I would give them a try, and I'm extremely glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the customer service and treatment were amazing. Ms. Tina was the first person to greet me at the door, and from that very first interaction, I immediately felt welcomed. She honestly gave me back some faith in local archery pro shops. She took the time to look over my bow, replaced a missing screw on the cam, had me take a few test shots, readjusted my draw length, and even gave me pointers on my shooting form. What stood out the most was that she never once made me feel like I was being rushed or that I was bothering her. She was genuinely there to help someone who is still a complete beginner to archery. She also showed me around the shop, offered to let me demo some bows, and I even stayed for a while to shoot at their indoor range before heading home. Not once did she ask me to pay for the help she provided. That kind of customer service is becoming harder to find. Willowcreek made me feel like they actually cared about helping me enjoy and learn the sport, not just making a sale. They definitely earned my business, and I'll be coming back here for all of my archery needs!
