I loved horses since I was a young girl but my parents never put me in riding lessons. The father of my kids gave me lessons as a birthday gift, and since that first lesson, I've been hooked! Cierra is kind, friendly, easy to talk to. She is passionate about horses, riding, and is always willing to pass on all of the amazing knowledge she has. Safety for both rider and horse are important to her, and she is professional. What I value most about her lessons is what an amazing teacher she is. She is so good at saying things in different ways until you understand, or trying new approaches to help you learn. I'll show up to a lesson and she will tell me how she was thinking about what we worked on last time and how she wants to try XYZ for a different result. She is able to challenge me and encourage me but not where I feel I can't do it. I have grown so much as an equestrian thanks to her. My 8 year old daughter rides too, and loves Cierra and her lessons as well. Cierra is great with her, and with all the other little kids that she teaches. The facility is quiet and well maintained and her lesson horses are very kind, safe and well loved and maintained. I really love the string of horses she has, as they all teach me something different. I would recommend her to anyone! She runs a fabulous facility. The footing is great, the stalls and arenas are great. I would love to haul in sometime just for the arena use. PGF runs a really nice group of schooling show series. I think many of the people who go to these shows maybe take for granted how well they are put together. Ribbons, prizes, great judges, overnight stalls, you can bring your horse in the day before to school, the arena is well maintained and wonderful photography services.

Her instructor made sure she told my daughter everything she'd be doing and why they do it before hand. My daughter that has never been on or even touched a horse hoped on her horse with no hesitation which is not like her at all when it comes to something new. I knew she felt comfortable and confident and that was because of her instructor, and everyone else we encountered. Every single person we saw on this ranch was friendly and talkative. I would highly recommend this ranch if you wanted to take lessons. It is $50 an hour or they had a special 5 lessons for $235. They also board horses and from the looks of it they were all ver taken care of. They had nice size covered stalls.

She's extremely educated with horses when it comes to care such as supplements or other treatments . I have been training with Kate Peikert for 2.5 years and I own an off the track TB mare who has a…read morenasty streak a mile wide and I myself am a 'green' rider. Not the best situation. Kate agreed to work with us even though her recommendation was for me to start with a more suitable horse. I just wasn't able to do this and was commited to the mare. Kate has been very patiently working with us. My goal was to compete in Dressage. We have had a few set backs in our training progress but now Kate has a beautiful, what I would call a 'boutique' training facility and we are finally on our way. The barn is a place I go to relax, spend time with my horse, train hard and commune with other dressage enthusiasts. We are now riding/competing in First Level and doing well - scores consistently in the 60s at rated shows. My mare gets top care at Peikert Performance Horses. She gets fed 4 times a day - one of which is a supplement feed that I provide/prepare, her stall which has an outdoor run is cleaned 3-4 times per day, she is blanketed/unblanketed as needed throughout the day and she is turned out 5 times a week. The arena has the best ever footing that is groomed regularly and dust is not allowed. With this year's unusually large amount of rain we haven't missed more than 2/3 days of riding. The main arena with the dressage court dries relatively quickly. The HydroKeep makes this possible - which also keeps footing moist when watered. There is also a field that is set for riding. It has a slight grade, with footing as well that is always dry enough to work in even after a downpour. The near by trials in the preserve are perfect for a training break!
