It is clean, well-run and a family environment where you feel good driving up and knowing it's almost like a home away from home. It's nice seeing other boarders and having a chat or just a simple wave across the stalls! It's so peaceful there and people respect each other. James and Kym are usually working away and doing what they do best... keeping up the ranch to the highest standards for all of our babies!! They are both so helpful and just truly wonderful, sweet, hard-working people that exude the utmost professionalism, compassion, helpfulness and caring. Yes, there are places cheaper and there are places more expensive... but know that money can't replace just knowing your horses are safe and loved and cared for when you're not there. Having that trust and ability to sleep peacefully each night knowing James and Kym care for my horses just as they would their own and care so much about all the animals is priceless. Trust me when I say it is worth every penny and more. Don't hesitate, just call and go see for yourself.... Treat your babies to the best boarding in the area! While I completely understand needing to raise prices that seemed higher than necessary especially since they will only be serving alfalfa and Bermuda pellets. Once I gave notice I couldn't get either of the owners to give me a total so I took it upon myself to leave more than enough to cover any final expenseses. I don't like to leave a negative only review so I will say that the facility is always neat and clean with miles of beautiful trails.

Everything is taken care of and it feels wonderful that I have a place I can take my horse where I know she will always be safe. They have around 5 seperate beautiful pastures and they are really good at knowing which one your horse would fit into best. They really care about each horse and even will individually feed your horse his/her supplements as needed in a seperate paddock each day for no extra charge. They spread the hay out in the pasture so that even the timid horses get plenty of food to eat. All the horses are in good shape and healthy. She has the farrier out around every 10 weeks to trim the horses feet and the vet out twice a year to give them there shots. You don't have to be there, you just get a bill in the mail! My Gypsy Vanner gelding has been there since he was 9 months old and he is just over 3 years now. I'm going to feel guilty taking him away from all his horse buddies so that he can be trained and ridden!

She is an outstanding riding instructor but no one receives better care than her horses. Come by and just look at the horses - all are happy and healthy and most live well past their 30's. I think of Hawkrest as "horse heaven" since your horse couldn't be more well cared for. Both of my daughters learned to ride here, and I happily board my horse here - even if I had the ability to keep him at my home, I would entrust him to Hawkrest for the top notch care he receives!

Communication was always quick, simple, and clear, and she was always willing to help whenever I had questions or needed anything. The property is lovely, and everyone at the barn is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone gets along well, and the environment feels peaceful, supportive, and drama-free. They also have roping every Friday, which creates such a fun atmosphere and is amazing to be around. There is also a wonderful trainer at the barn who is knowledgeable and caring. When I had to move my horse, Jen and everyone at the barn were still very kind, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the process. They made sure I had whatever I needed and treated me with so much respect. I still spend time around the barn because that is how welcoming they continue to be. I always felt that my horse was safe and cared for here, and I am truly grateful for the way Valentino and I were treated. I would absolutely recommend Tesoro Farms to others :)
