I've witnessed them go after MANY boarders and be aggressive and harsh when conflict could have been avoided. We also struggled with keeping weight on our horses at this barn. They do not feed according to weight (as you MUST with horses) and it really took a negative toll on our two mares. Avoid this place if you can. Not all it's cracked up to be for sure. As a first time horse owner Tesoro Farms has been really good to me! When I first got a tour of the farm Tim & Jen were kind enough to take the time to show me around, explain how they handle the cleaning, feeding, supplements (no extra charge). They were very transparent and honest from the beginning, which I appreciated very much. Jen even helped me transport my horse to the farm, with the help of their stable hand Zack. We feel so lucky to have found Tesoro Farms! After boarding our horses for over 12 years at a small family ranch in Norco, the owners decided to retire. We were devastated -- that place was home for us and our horses, and we didn't think we'd ever find another spot that felt the same. Then we visited Tesoro Farms, and everything just clicked. Jen and Tim, the owners, were so friendly and welcoming. They gave us a full tour, and several boarders came over on their own to say hi and share how much they loved it there. Everyone also had great things to say about Zack, who helps run the place and clearly loves the horses. We looked at another facility afterward, but it just didn't compare -- it was huge, felt commercial, the stalls were smaller, and the prices much higher. Plus, we would've had to separate our three horses. Luckily, when we talked to Tesoro, three adjoining stalls had just opened up after another boarder moved out of state. It was meant to be! Since moving in, we couldn't be happier. The stalls are roomy (about 12x30), have mats, and drain beautifully. Our horses get quality alfalfa or Teff hay, and Jen, Tim, and Zack even feed the supplements we prep. You can tell they care deeply about each and every horse. The arenas and round pen are always available when we need them, and everyone here has been so friendly. Within weeks, we were invited to a boarder's birthday party -- it already feels like our new barn family. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly, family-style facility, this is it. Once again, the owners are quick to point the finger and defame anyone who tries to leave the barn. In truth, the owner begged me not to moce my horse to my other barn. I had zero intention of returning as both horses are very happy where they are (and I made this clear to the owners hence their retaliatory tactics). Tim's accusations against me are completely irrelevant to my review and their shortcomings. If anything, it proves all of my points against this business. That said, this is a party barn and the owners always seem to have a drink in hand. Ironically, I have been dieting for over a year and thus, have pretty much cut out alcohol to the owner's chagrin (who always tried to get me to have a drink with her). The only verbal altercation I had was with another boarder who walks around with a stanley cup full of vodka and repeatedly came after me most likely due to jealousy. However, the claims that I have a criminal history are untrue and blatantly defamatory. I was involved in an abusive relationship with someone who unfortunately became addicted to drugs and alcohol and resulted in domestic violence charges AGAINST HIM. Sadly he is now deceased. He passed about two months before I started boarding here so the false allegations that I abuse drugs or alcohol are not only libelous but are extremely hurtful and harmful. What Tim fails to include is that i was at one time good friends with his wife and was pathetically loyal and generous to her and the entire family (down to getting Taylor Swift tickets about which the owner had the audacity to complain to other boarders behind my back). I was tired of the constant gossiping and backstabbing, which was just one of the many reasons I elected to move my gelding (as opposed to bringing the baby to this facility). At the time of the move and as evidenced, there was ample room to bring both horses to tesoro. In fact the stall next to my gelding was available. I tried to keep relationship cordial and didn't go into the plethora reasons as to why I preferred to board at the other barn. However, the owners have a long history of attacking anyone who leaves. There are many of us so just ask around. Ironically, it is the owners who always play the victim role (and abuse prescription meds). Nonetheless, the personal attacks against me and my review (even having their boarders stalk and harass me) are completely irrelevant to what I and many others have stated against and about the running of their business. In short, they don't care about you or your horse. It's just about money for them. As for the "second hay barn," that is where people's personal hay is stored. It is not where the alfalfa that is included in the boarding fees is kept. That is the hay that our horses are SUPPOSED to get. However, unless you resort to self service (which many of us are forced to do), your horse will probably get scraps of what ever fell to the floor. One doesn't need to "own a barn" to know about our horses' respective diets. Amy additional feed is provided by the horse owner while the barn owners represent to feed accordingly. However, it's funny that the owner chose to bash my lack of knowledge of owning a barn to indicate that i don't know how to feed my horses. . Up until two years to the owners also never ran a barn. This is their first attempt. So maybe that explains a lot? As for the restraining order, it was denied and the court put it down for a hearing for the first amendment issues. I guess they didn't trust the court to rule on that. They also perjured themselves in the papers stating that i'm involved in criminal activity. Opinions and reviews are protected speech, while defamation is not. If the owners choose to continue to slander my name and reputation I will have no choice but to seek judicial intervention. Sadly and as demonstrated, they are incapable of maintaining any degree of professionalism when it comes to operating this "business." read more

I've been boarding with Tesoro from the beginning, when they first took over and I can't say enough about this place or how it is run. The work the owners have put into the stalls, the facilities, and the ambiance is something I've never seen before. When we first came here, the facilities were in desperate need of renovations, but we started boarding here because Jen told us her vision for what it was going to become, and she and her husband Tim have more than delivered!! I could never put into words how much I love Tesoro. From the beginning Jen and Tim have always been so attentive. I came to Jen asking for a stall for my gelding that was at a not so good place, although she was in a bind and had nothing available she slept on it and never forgot about us. About two weeks after meeting her she calls me with the most excited tone ever and told me she had a stall come available due to a horse selling. I moved in the same week. My horse has never been so happy and he settled in right away. The first night I texted Jen asking if she could put a bucket in because I was scared he wouldn't get the hang of the automatic waters and within 10 minutes she sends me a video of my silly boy playing in his water bucket. Tim and Jen get it handled and done, they have never ever made me ask twice about something. These two love every single horse as if it was their own. Zack the ranch hand is also a huge help and always steps in and helps me out when I get overwhelmed with any training issues my horse has. I used to board three horses at Tesoro Farms and the only reason I was able to move them to a new facility and leave amicably was because I took every ounce of self restraint to not call the owners out on their lack of knowledge about horses. I actually knew Tim, Jen, and Gracee before I boarded with them and thought I could trust them, but I also knew from boarding with them back in 2018 that they were brand new to horses at that time and were easily influenced by "uneducated" professionals within the industry. I had a gelding and a mare with a 6 month old filly at her side boarded there from October 7th 2023 to December 31st 2023. I moved them there from AZ and was able to visit the property once before we moved, but when I came to visit and had set a time to meet Jen, she couldn't bother to even show up. Then a few weeks after arriving, I realized her and her staff were only feeding each horse one flake of Alfalfa twice daily. Two flakes total. For anyone not aware, that's an extremely low amount of food. Horses should be consuming 1.5-2% of their body weight daily (that's 15 to 20 pounds for the average 1000 pound horse), but one flake of an average Alfalfa bale is 4-6 pounds, meaning they're consuming 8-12 pounds daily. Including my lactating mare who should have been on double that, easily. So on top of paying their ridiculously high board fees, I was also bringing in about $200-$250 worth of hay per month that I purchased on my own and drove out there daily (30+ minute drive for me) to feed them the additional hay. They didn't drop too much weight, but every horse on the property either has a slow metabolism or had zero muscle mass, including their performance horses. As someone who's been a professional within the horse industry for 5+ years with a bachelor's degree in equine science, a certificate in Equine Psychology, and various course completion focusing on biomechanics and behavior modification, in addition to being a rider of 20+ years, I can say with confidence that not only does Jen take advantage of those new to horses who don't know any better, but she does bully them into agreeing with her and allowing her and her staff to do whatever they want. The stall that my mare and foal were in was constantly muddy because the property was built so that run off water went straight to that stall (I was unaware of this before moving there) and they didn't care that both girls had thrush and white line disease or that the filly had slipped and fallen a couple of times because of the mud. They also worked on the shade structures while the horses were in the stall and I found multiple screws in my horses' stalls. There were several occasions where I found littered trash in the stalls too. If you want your horse fed lunch, it's extra. Blanketed? Extra. Bedding? Extra. Turn out? You'll have to pay another boarder because they won't. On top of $540 per horse in a poorly maintained ~12x40 open half-covered pipe stall. Jen told me the neighbors were constantly calling animal control on them and complained she wasn't doing anything wrong. When animal control did show up, she just flirted with the officers until they decided the animals were fine and left. There's also extremely limited parking on the property (there's 38 horses on a 1.8 acre property in addition to the arena, small turn-out space, 30' round pen, and trailer parking) and parking on the street meant walking about 100 yards to the back of the property for me. Plenty of tack rooms, but they did not provide saddle stands or hooks which I thought was weird and although they boast about having someone do a 10pm walk through by the resident living in the ADU, he often turned around before even getting to my horses (and we won't even talk about his major character flaws I found out about after moving my horses, thankfully). Let's see, what else...I often wasn't able to turn out my horses for more than 15 minutes a day because owners were fighting for turn-out use (again, 38 horses to 1.8 acres, which is illegal in most other states for good reason), the automatic waters leaked and made the stalls even more attractive to flies, stalls were only cleaned 6 days a week so I had to clean them on Sundays, the majority of horses on the property had vices (cribbing, weaving, pawing, food aggression, etc) from poor management practices, they were sleep deprived from the ground being so hard, there was dog poop everywhere, my muck rake got stolen, and there were blankets left on horses when it was sunny and 65 degrees out. Oh, and when I tried to ask Jen a question, she snapped at me for not texting her "barn manager" Mon-Fri, who I'd never seen on the property more than twice the entire time I boarded there. Yes, I saved all of my text messages too and won't be posting them either in case there is legal action taken. Tesoro Farms is an absolute gem! I've been boarding all my horses here for almost 2 years now. I couldn't be happier with the care my horses receive. The owners Tim and Jen are knowledgeable and truly passionate about horses, going the extra mile to ensure that every animal is well cared for and comfortable. I never worry about going out of town, that peace of mind priceless. In addition to the owners, another couple, Zack and Morgan live on property to help with feeding the horses and cleaning the stalls. The horses have eyes on them 24/7. They offer other services like turn outs and blanketing and giving Medicene. You can always find someone to help with anything, even help grooming or bathing horses. Tesoro has their own trainer named Tori Ramirez. She is awesome!! She does both group and individual training. On Thursday evenings you can find her doing Gymkhana training for a big group of us. She will ride your horse if you can't make it to the barn to ensure they're getting out and exercised. The amount of extras they provide here is such a bonus! The facility itself is top-notch, with spacious stalls, a well-maintained arena, round pen, turnouts and horse wash. There is plenty room for all your tack. Beyond the amenities, what truly sets Tesoro Farms apart is the sense of community. All the boarders are friendly and supportive, making it a pleasure to spend time at the barn. We have all grown to be friends and have events at the barn whether it's BBQ's or birthday parties or even horse camping! There is never a shortage of someone to trail ride with, and Tesoro is only a block from the river bed, so it's is the perfect location! Tesoro boarders are active in the community between Gymkhana, Mounted Possee, Saddle Sore Riding Club and more. I currently board my horse at Tesoro Farms in Norco, CA, and I couldn't be more pleased. This place truly deserves a solid 5-star rating. The facility is top-notch, with spacious and well-maintained stalls, large arena, seperate area for turn-out, round pen, hot walker, wash rack, tack rooms and additional private storage for your hay and supplements. They have different size stalls to choose from as well as box stalls. The owners Tim and Jen are meticulous about keeping the facilty clean, and actually have the waste removed DAILY from the property. There is no pile up of horse manure on the property which equals NO FLIES. This is a really nice bonus! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and caring, ensuring that my horse received the best care possible. In addition to the owners who live onsite, they also have a barn Manager named Jill who is awesome! There are 2 onsite tenants named Zach and Morgan who watch and help with the horses doing the "late shift" patrolling and checking water and horses. There are so many "eyes" on these horses they are very well cared for. What sets Tesoro Farms apart is their commitment to the well-being of the horses. They provide excellent feed, regular exercise, and a safe, serene environment for the animals. All stalls have automatic waters, and clean mats. I always feel confident that my horse is in good hands especially when I have to go out of town for a few days. There are cameras on the property and I have seen Jen come out to assist other boarders with their horses. Tim takes care of all the feed. They will feed your horse their supplements for you as long as they're bagged and ready to go! Additionally, the community at Tesoro Farms is fantastic. Fellow boarders are friendly, and always willing to help or share advice. There is always a group to go on trail with, and this facility is located less than 5 mins from the riverbed to ride. They organize group rides for everyone to join in. They are also starting a Gymkhana team. Overall, Tesoro Farms is amazing. Owners are very hostile people. They lie to cover themselves from any wrong doing and make you suffer. My horse was having weight issues and for over a year we were going back and forth with the owners about why my horse was not gaining weight even though we were providing hundreds of dollars of extra food. The owners blamed us every time we brought it up. We had a vet come out and confirmed my horse was in great health and it was just portion sizes. They only feed 1 flake per meal here and they don't weigh the flakes so I can only imagine most horses on this property are being underfed. We live 40 minutes away so we could only make it to the ranch 2 to 3 times a week so we trusted the owners were taking care of our babies, but we were let down tremendously. Since moving from Tesoro in less than a month my horse has bounced back tenfold. I would not recommend boarding here. read more

Yelp was asked to take down my review because it did not provide specific examples. I thought vague may be better but I guess not. This commonly happens because shes admitted reporting low reviews before to have them taken down. Why do I care to review? Because I use these to make choices & take them very seriously. Please know many of Tesoros positive reviews are ficticious & the people who claim to board there are not boarders. I was there almost 2 years and theres certainly not a Amy P, Vanessa or Ed. The owner asks people, including the teens boarding to write good reviews. The facility is clean & the boarders are great. I deeply care about many of them. The problem is solely because of the owners. One owner in particular has a very fake personality. She appears jovial & portrays the barn as a family. You will get this side on your first visit. Soon you will boarders blasted on their site for leaving hair on the ground or not putting back the buckets properly. She talks about many boarders poorly behind their back, has a problem with you if you call them out on anything & will flat out rudely ignore you. Another example is how she will never admit fault...Our Vet had complaints about the stall being unsafe. I kindly told her and asked about putting rocks in one dangerous drainage area. She was so furious the vet gave her opinion, she called her and literally was mad at her for telling a border this. It was very embarrassing. A more recent example is that I felt I was treated rudely when I was there checking on my horse filled with gas from a medication. Instead of showing empathy towards my horse, they were upset because it was 20 mins past 9 (closing) & the owner needed to go to bed to get up early. This is never a common practice of mine, in fact the 1st time I was told I was late. (Yes, a padlock is now on their gate at 9!!!) After expressing, I was uncomfortable with this response & conversation, I was ignored for the remainder of my time there & gossiped about & my husband called an a-hole to other boarders. Yes, this is in a video as well as reported from numerous people. My husband never raised his voice once at her! Im sure its clearly on her Ring Camera. She changed the actual conversation that took place & made it so far fetched she even made up things her husband said that he denied & told others people were present that were not. It just shows you the failure to communicate & the lack of leadership at this facility, even their own communication. Yes, I could continue with examples. Were there some good times, yes, but most agree not to really trust them & many boarders leave with similar examples. I just feel and honest review was needed. We are fairly new to Tesoro Farms. After being referred to Tesoro by a respected Thoroughbred farm owner, we immediately reached out to learn more about their facility. Our current location no longer suited our needs, so we were eager to explore a new option. From our first conversation with Tesoro's owners, we were impressed by the range of services and affordability they offered. This led us to schedule a tour, and it's no exaggeration to say we were blown away by the impeccable quality and condition of the grounds. During the tour, we noticed how the owner knew each horse by name, greeting them warmly as we walked through the facility. The horses themselves appeared calm and comfortable in their stalls--a true testament to the care they receive. We also met the on-site rancher, who was welcoming, professional, and offered assistance from the start. To our surprise, Jen, the owner, even offered to transport our horse from Riverside to Norco at no charge--an incredible gesture we were grateful for. Hands down the nicest , cleanest boarding facility you'll find in Norco. From the owners welcoming me and my horse with open arms to the care they give each horse each day . They give individualized care to each horse offering a customized feeding plan for each horse and offered several different types of hay options which i never found in any facility. They even feed your supplements with no extra charge. The ranch hand lives on property and checks on horses every few hours and knows the habits of each horse and showe so much care. I can't say enough about the owners , they go above and beyond! They will always go the extra mile at any time of day! they create the most clean, loving atmosphere that is just unmatched anywhere. They are very protective of a peaceful environment, so they do not let anyone put anyone else down or disturb the overall peace (that is the only reason you'll see a negative review, people don't like getting called out for their rude behavior and tend to retaliate on good people like these sweet owners When they are asked to leave for bad behavior)! But proof is in the pudding, come by and you'll see why they are always full with a wait list! I'll always sing their praises and recommend them to all good people! I boarded at tesoro farms for over a year and I could'nt possibly say enough positive things about this place . It is by far the cleanest and best maintained barn that ive ever been to. I had an older horse that was retired and needing extra care and the owners stepped up big time and went above and beyond to make sure that rodeo got the care he needed to extend his life out as much as possible. There were several times he had colic and the co owner jen actually went out in the middle of the night to hand walk him , call an emergency vet and sit with him to make sure he was ok. I don't have enough good things to say about Tim, Jen, and the facility! Everything is kept clean and tidy, the stalls are well maintained, and the owners are constantly out checking on the horses. If there ever was a concern, the owners were on it as soon as it was brought to their attention. Every horse in the barn is treated as their own, and I never have to worry about my horse not being well cared for, or not being notified if things were to go wrong. The facility itself is beautiful with a spacious arena that's well lit and has great footing! I've known Jen since before they bought the place, and they've installed every amenity in their power to make it the best it can be. They have lots of options for feeding, and very reasonable prices! Plus access to lots of trails and the river bottom. I would put this barn over some much more pricey places I've been. One of the best boarding facilities in Norco! We love the clean space, large arena with great footing and very large stalls for our horses. The atmosphere has been friendly from the start we have been treated like family! Jen was so helpful when I was looking for a trainer and Jill from Tesoro has been excellent, I'm so happy she was recommended to us. Our only regret has been that we hadn't come over sooner. A few other reviews on this page seem to be from some disgruntled (read: fake) people that are stating things I have personally never seen. I just came across the best kept secret in Norco. Tesoro Farms is the cleanest grounds and stables with new friendly owners. The place is dog friendly with several areas to sit and get to know other boarders. Apparently these new owners have put lots of time and money into the property and boy does it show. This family run business has many more plans for improvements. Glad I got on the waiting list before all of Norco finds out what a real gem this place is read more

I began boarding my gelding at Tesoro Farms in December 2022! Best decision ever! This is the most welcoming and accepting place for horse lovers of ALL levels! I don't get unsolicited advice, but everyone is willing to lend a hand if asked! The facility is so clean, and there are so many sitting areas to enjoy a beverage with all my new friends. Jen and Tim are the BEST! They are constantly checking on all the horses, and even moved mine to a dryer stall during the rain! They are even going to level my stall for future rains to help with draining. It's been an amazing experience. The location is divine! Close to river bed and Hidden Valley. I still believe that this is an outstanding boarding facility: Tim and Jen take amazing care of the facility AND the horses. While they may be new to this type of business, they are thoughtful and caring people and constantly go above and beyond. I have never witnessed any mal intent. I would hope that any reasonable person would show them the same grace that is allotted to anyone when a learning curve is necessary. The stalls have all been leveled and upgraded this year. Will there be instances where we have excess rain and there is mud and/or water? Absolutely! And...it's taken care of almost immediately. My horse has gotten into tiffs with his neighbors because, guess what, they are herd animals that means there is a hierarchy that needs to be established. Little bumps and scratches are par for the course (this should be common knowledge to any horse owner). I have boarded at multiple barns in Chino Hills and now Norco, this facility is easily the nicest. The arena is large and has great footing. The stalls are much larger than what you will find at most of the local boarding facilities, very well maintained and clean. The location gives you easy access to the riverbed and miles of trails to enjoy. The owners have been extremely responsive to any concerns we have had and were very helpful in the transition from our previous boarding facility. Take the time to come see this barn in person and you will not be disappointed. read more
