I am not happy about having to wait for an hour before our ride, when the instructions specifically stated to be there 30 minutes early or we would lose our reservation. I had my 7 year old twins with me and it was very hard for them to wait. That being said, the staff was nice and listened to my concerns about the kids. They were attentive during the ride and took care of the horses. I did have to leave a message to make reservations and they called me back on the 4th business day, but they did call me back. My friends and I bought a groupon deal. We made an appointment for 10 am on a Sunday morning. On the day of, the place itself was a little difficult to find. The gate will be closed, so you will have to get out of the car, open it yourself, drive in and close the gate. Park to the right (watch out for horse poop). You may or may not be greeted right away, depending if the group before you returns from their ride. Our guide was friendly enough. I expected her to give us a little more instruction since the groupon did indicate "lessons." Some horses were more obedient than others, so choose wisely haha. The ride itself was pleasant. I would've wanted to go up a nice trail or hill but we just went around the neighborhood streets. I recommend this only if you have a Groupon and if you're going with a great group of friends. This is definitely for beginners. If you're an expert at horseback riding, you'll probably get bored. read more

I bought a deal on Amazon Local for a 2 hour ride on the river. I called the number and left a message but never heard back, I finally ended up having to text to try to make a reservation (which took forever for her to respond). I made the reservation for 9:00 am on a Sunday morning and we arrived at the address at 8:45. There was no sign saying this was the place or where to park, another car was circling trying to find the place as well. After asking someone, we found that the place is run out of someones home at the back of the lot, which you can't really see from the street. Once we got in we discovered that another guide took 4 horses out at 8:40 and they didn't really know when they were going to back. This left 4 horses for the 8 of us, this obviously wasn't going to work. They finally came back at 9:45 and it then took another 45 min before we were all on our horses and ready to leave. 1.5 hours after our scheduled time was when we left, not once during this time did the owner come out of her house to explain what had happened or apologize for the mix up. The overall ride was very dusty, mostly due to it being the end of the summer and not much rain to keep the dust down. The horses are a ragtag bunch of horses that aren't really meant for trail riding in a single file line. One of the horses had a limp, one liked to kick if you got to close but it liked being in the front, two of the horses would always gallop whenever we stopped and started again, and my horse wouldn't really listen to my commands. When we got back 1 hour and 45 min later, my horse headed straight for the corrals and wouldn't stop, turn, or go back so the guides could hold the saddle while I got off. The guides didn't notice this until everyone was off their horses and I was 100 feet back in the corrals. No of the above problems are faults of the horses or the trail, it is solely the fault of a poorly run business. I will not come back again and will complain to Amazon Local. read more

My best friend mentioned she wanted to go horseback riding for her birthday so I decided to bring her here for part of her bachelorette! We went on the hour guided trail ride and it was awesome! We are all beginners at this so it was nice to just take it slow and see parts of Norco: dogs, roosters, llamas and all...;) The great price and super friendly staff make it totally worth it. I bought a groupon for my children for Christmas. I had no problem scheduling on the website. Arrived 30 minutes early as requested and was one our ride at 3pm as scheduled. My daughter 8 was excited to ride on her own and my 4 year old son rode with me. Both had a great time with the hidden trails and the two water crossings. We headed back to the stables looking at a beautiful sunset. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my kids first ride. I do have one warning. A great experience will have your child asking for riding lesson. I hope there is a groupon for that too. 8-) read more

My gf and I got the Amazon Local deal back in April. We finally got around to go this month, (July). Setting up th eappointment was super easy, all it took was text message and they gave us some options for the Sunday that we wanted to go. We wanted something in the afternoon to beat the heat, so we choose 4pm. Just follow the instructions from the email/voucher and you should find your way there without a problem. After we signed up we waited a few minutes while they got the horses ready. There was another couple there, so we got to ride with them as well. Once they assign you a horse you hop on and they tell you the rules and horse maneuvers, which are pretty basic and simple. I got to ride Dusty, a good looking white horse, and my gf got to ride Scarlett a former wild Mustang. Both horses were calm and easy to control. Madison our guide was very nice and knowledable of horses. She gave us a brief history of each of our horses and just made the ride fun. If we go back we would like her to be our guide again. Ok...seriously. I do not understand the bad reviews. Unless you have no common sense...this place is easy to deal with, easy to find and so much fun. The website says to email or TEXT for an appointment. So I text with my info and the time slot I wanted and they got back to me within a few hours. Easy peasy. The place is not difficult at all to find as long as you read the email confirmation and the signs along the property. Show up 30 mins early, go through the gate with all the signs for Everything Equine, close the gate, park in parking lot, walk to the stables behind the arena. Not sure where people had difficulty with this. Madison was our guide and she was extremely nice and very knowledgeable of horses having grown up around them her whole life. We went for a two-hour nature ride today to celebrate my birthday. It was the most wonderful experience! The trail guides were friendly and helpful and informative and very fun to be around. We also got to go pet the animals to the petting zoo the little calf was so sweet she just loved to be petted. All the dogs running around made me feel right at home! The horses were obviously very well cared for. It makes me happy to know that I have a great place to go ride at such a reasonable price! I will definitely return here! read more

To confirm they ask for your age, weight, height, gender and email to send you a confirmation. Upon arriving, you have to open the gate yourself so that means getting out of the car, opening the gate then closing the gate behind you. Then you head towards the back and meet up with an employee and fill out paperwork and within fifteen minutes they bring out your horses and off you go. I was pleasantly surprised with our visit there today. I called a few times, and eventually they did get back to me. I just couldn't believe that they would be that busy. But when I got there and saw what they offered, and the quality of the animals, I wasn't surprised. They told me they don't normally have lessons at the time of day we wanted to go, but would make a change to fit us in. My main goal was to get my nine-year-old daughter a lesson on riding a horse. I was using a Groupon which was good for two one-hour group lessons. When we got there, everybody was extremely pleasant, and they spent about 30 min. showing my daughter how to groom and prepare the horse for the ride. The instructor then took her into the corral and gave her about an hour and a half to ride around while she stood there and gave her directions. My daughter got the horse up to a trot, which they say is very rare for a child of that age, as they are usually afraid. During my daughter's lessons, it was warm so I decided to go sit at some picnic tables next to a barn. It turned out I was sitting with the owner and his family. They were extremely friendly, and really made us feel at home. Aside from the fact that my daughter had an amazing time, she got a private lesson instead of a group lesson, from a sweet young lady, Kayla, who was wonderful with my baby, my daughter got to meet a sweet horse named Pumpkin, and we got it all at a great price. There is no question in my mind that we will be returning soon as possible so that we can take some horses out on the trail together. Great place. At first I was a bit concerned driving out to Norco (I am from the OC) and walking up to the gate...but the service they provided was excellent. The horses are gentle and sweet. My 7 year old daughter received a lesson from Dane. He was soooo incredibly patient and helpful with her. Especially when teaching her how to clean Blazer's hooves. I definitely recommend Everything Equine for all levels of riders. So I bought a groupon for an hour long guided trailride for two people. I have seen countless reviews saying that they had issues scheduling appointments. I had no issue texting the number and getting a response within a few hours. My appointment was made within that week. I did have a little bit of trouble finding the place, and once I was there it was a little confusing to open the gate and park. We were directed towards the back where horses were being saddled for us. I got captain while my boyfriend got Thor. Both were good horses although Captain got spooked by an emu LOL Overall the ride was not as pretty as I had hoped but it was still tons of fun. Our guide Gabby was extra nice and talkative. The one thing I would change is how much safety is skipped. Things like what to do if your horse spooks, and just some easy behavior cues so you know which horse to pet and which not to. I really enjoyed the ride, however, at the beginning I did see a woman throw something at one of the horses because it was misbehaving. read more

I booked our ride through groupon, upon arriving My husband and i were immediately taken back at the condition of the property that this "business" is operating out of. I wasn't sure if We were in the right place, the front yard was a mess, debris and trash. We tried to look past that. An continued to the back where the rides are held. There is a "petting zoo". There is a cow, a donkey and some goats crammed into a tiny filthy pen. I used to keep farm animals, I know they poop a lot, but this "pen" had fecal matter that looked as of it had been there for days. We went during the summer an the flies were AWFUL! The abundance of manure did not help the fly control issue. The woman that operates the trail rides also has a horse rescue operation. Seemed shady to Us. The horses, did not have shelter, dirty water and small dirty stalls. She is stabling her rescue horses right next to her trail ride horses which lead us to believe that she does not quarantine new animals. Norco is a horse town, horses outnumber people. Bio security I would imagine is a hot topic in a community that surrounds itself around livestock. Keeping everyone safe should be a top priority. Especially if you are going to have a business and allowing out of town guests to come to your property. I most certainly don't want to share anything with my own personal pets. There ended up being four of us in the group for the ride, myself and my husband and a young couple. My husband I decided that due to the state of the property and the conditions in which the animals were living that we were not going to go on the ride. I asked for our money back, which was a bit of a fight, but eventually got it back. I absolutely do not recommend Everything Equine. If I need to have my horse fix, I will look elsewhere. Wow, I read the negative reviews and while we were confused a bit at first, we managed to get our reservation on a Friday, for the following monday. This was a Groupon coupon. When we arrived early, as asked, we had some time to wait for our guides. We went directly to their petting zoo, went inside and had the most awesome time,especially with the baby calf - what a sweetie - and i've never had the opportunity to be petting a calf - and yes I'm silly with just about any animal. When the other couple had arrived, they started tacking up, (which I loved, being that I have to do all my tacking when I'm at a lesson!). It ended up being 4 people and 3 guides! by the way, we came all the way from Orange county for a 9am ride and made great time being that we were going against work traffic. My horse (CJ) was a challange, but not too much of a challange - it was perfect for me being an advanced beginner. The guides were super and I was highly impressed with the girl that rode a completely blind horse! So we had a fantastic time and I know my friend bought another coupon for her and another friend who really wanted to go. I live in Lancaster, cA, so I'm not able to get down there too often, but if I could, I would do it at least once a month! I really loved it when we were in the bamboo "forest" that had a complete canape over it and my horse didn't spook at all when we had to pass a wood chipper! If I could give these people a minus stars I would. I originally emailed the owner Jaimie about celebrating my daughters bday on horseback. I told her i had contacted all the other Norco horseback riding businesses and either they never responded or the reviews were so bad it wasn't worth it. So I was glad she "seemed" interested and attentive. It started out fine. I gave her all the details what I wanted and needed. She assured there was no problem she could do a group ride of 2 for 8-10ppl each. She said they had a barn to have a party in and she could even provide food. I asked about a waiver to send with the invites and got nothing. I told her i wanted to finalize everything so I could send out the invitations and I wanted to see the place and meet her. But pretty much I was set on doing it as I had been looking around for a few months already and she "seemed" professional. When I got no answer from my email about the waiver; this is after corresponding several times via email I decided to visit the ranch and hopefully finalize it, sign whatever papers she needed to make sure this was set. I didn't want to show up with my guests and not know what to expect and be committed to paying so much money considering some of the bad reviews I was willing to give them a chance since she was so attentive. She even gave me a discount because I had so many riders. I showed up on a thurs about 2p and no one was there. It seems they rent out a space from people who own the property. There was an RV that looked like people were living in it and the barn was more like a tool garage not at all a place to have lunch or a party. I waited for an hour no one showed up. I called the umber on the website and it was disconnected with a new number. Called that no answer left a message. I went home and emailed Jaimie about it. Later I got a message from her husband and an email from her saying my prior email went to spam. Really? We had been emailing back and forth most of the month of March and all of a sudden it went to spam? I have all the emails. I couldn't respond right away because I was planning this party among other obligations having grade aged children. I called back a few days later, not a week. Her husband answers confused asks Jaimie next to him and says because I didn't answer back immediately she gave my date to someone else and basically I was S.O.L.! I told them it was pretty much done i even went to their place. Then they started giving me the talk around." Oh, were off thurs, really no one was there? " it didn't say they were closed on thurs on the website that would've been helpful ya think? I noticed they had been advertising heavily on groupon, yelp all those sites so I figured they got so many calls and didn't want to do my party since the people prepay on those sites so the money is guaranteed so instead they give me crap and try to turn it on me make it like my fault that thy cancelled. These people are totally UNPROFESSIONAL! The bad reviews are true. It's a hit and miss with these people it's whatever they feel like doing. This is what happens with businesses that rely on groupon type deals. They're not good enough to get their own customers based on good referrals so they have to do gimmicks with mass discount deals and then your at their mercy after paying. I'm so glad I didn't have my party with these people. I ended up finding a real professional place and the people were so kind and it wasn't that much further Prado Equestrine in Chino. It's right next to the Prado regional park so we were able to hang out at the lake and they rode around the park it's across from Chino museum airport so my non riding guests were able to watch the airshow from a picnic table under the trees that I had use the whole time. Serena the manager was so accommodating. The toddlers were able to ride also via horse led around the property. They had beautiful show horses to look at. It was a wonderful day and everyone said they would be coming back with their families. Equine missed out and Prado benefited over $400 as everybody ended up riding. I encourage everyone to go to Prado you won't be disappointed. read more

I purchased the horse camp via Amazon local deals in April. For the last 3 months I have attempted to contact them to give them my voucher number, and get some info as to what my daughter would need to bring to camp. I contacted them via their website, on facebook, and facebook pm. Never got anything from them. So now, 2 weeks before camp, I asked Amazaon for a refund after reading the reviews on yelp and getting zero communication from them. Thankfully amazon is awesome and got my a refund with no problems. Not sure if these people know how to run a legit business. my daughter is bummed but I think steering clear of this place is the best thing to do. read more

It was one of my worst experiences riding a horse. I took my husband there as a b-day gift and as his first time there. He got a nice horse that behaved well yet towards the end they told us that they had only own that horse for only 1week and they were using it for people to ride. okay???! At least the horse was good and my husband was happy to ride a big belgum horse called "Thor". Yet the reason I am giving it 1star is because on my behalf I got one of the worst horses ever. One that should not be use for the public and that as owners they should of known better not to rent it out to us. My horse's name was "dancer" please if you go here do not get this horse. It will never follow my commands to turn left or right. We went on a the Natural Center Trail tour which goes by the Santa Ana River (beautiful view). So at least we had a guide with us as well as the owner because when we got close to the Santa Ana river the horse starting going crazy and didn't want to go in that direction. Our guide decided to come to where I was at to grab the horse's headstall and it still didn't listen so then the guided the sided to get the reins of my hands and the whole horse's bridles, headstall & everything came off!! As soon as that came of I was just left with a saddle in which I was seating and nothing to guide the horse or stop it or even hold on to something. the horse, "dancer", then begun to run. I was scared to death that it would drop me. I then held on to the horse's hair & pulled it to try to stop it, but it didn't work. Thankfully a man was there on his horse, he tried blocking the crazy horse I was on but "dancer" just went around & kept running. The man screamed to me, " try to grab on to its ears it will make stop" Thankfully I was able to grab on to one ear, and that made it slow down then I grabbed the other one and it made it stop. The man went and he grabs "dancer's" ears and told me "get off now!" So I got off as quickly as I could. The guide took a while to get there because she was calling Dane, the owner, to let him know while I was in danger WTF!!! The guide then came placed the horse's bridles and ask me, "to you want to stay on dancer or do you want to take my horse" at that point after that experience I was like fuck no I don't want to get on dancer. So I obviously said I'll take your horse and guess what I then got a blind horse. I was like wtf!! The guide convince me that it knew the trail and that I just need it to guide it. So I did and yes it was an okay horse. ( I forgot the name of that horse but its completely blind) After this Dane came and he hopped on to dancer; our guide, which seemed to be Dane's wife or sister, went back home. Yet the man who helped me and rescued me told them all horses need to have like a lead rope that is an extra rope that just goes around the horse's neck and it sits in the saddle just in case something happens like in my incident. It had been a long long time that I didn't ride a horse but I do remember all the times I did they did have that extra rope and it can also be use to grab it and walk the horse. I know it was a long story yet for me its important to be safe and this place doesn't have that; in terms of the public using their horses. Norco has a wonderful Nature trail I wont complain about that but this is the worst place to go there are other people who can provide you with horse rentals and tours. I would definitely be going back for another nature tour or rental but NOT AT THIS PLACE. I want to make sure I'll survive and that if I take my husband on a second time ride the owner have own the horse long enough to determine its safe on customers. read more

We booked and went on a ride, the horses would not follow the trail and turned around and went home. Even the guide could not control her own horse. Obviously the ride ended early. The guide said she would give us another ride so we rescheduled for a later date. She said she would call us the day before and took our number. I guess that was an easy way to get rid of us. I regret giving a tip and not taking her number, there is no phone number online or given out on purpose. We never heard from them again, and email went unanswered. A couple friends, my daughter and I rode with Dane and had a wonderful time! It was too windy to ride the river bottom so we rode around the base of the hills. My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday and we did the unguided trail ride for 2 hours since we both have horse experience. The place was very easy to find, if you bother to go on the website and can read then you wont have any trouble going through the gate, parking to the left and going to the back behind the arena. Making the appointment was super easy and on the website it says that it COULD take a few hours to a day or so for a response(I text them & got one in a few hours). We showed up 30 mins before our scheduled time thinking we'd have ALLOT of paperwork to fill out and then they'd saddle up the horses but we were on the horses heading out 15 mins before our scheduled time to be there and they didn't seem bothered that we came early! One thing people have to remember is that most of the horses they have are older and/or rescues to accommodate more levels of riders and might not look like the type of horse you picture in your head. I loved the horse I rode! Dusty was very calm but still had some go in him and listened to ALL cues I gave like a pro(I believe he could have been at one time or had extensive training). My boyfriend fell in love with the horse he rode(Ace) and by the end of the ride wanted to buy him! (We would have asked about it if we weren't trying to move into a house together) The price was great since I expected to pay more. The only downfall for me is that it takes 30 mins at a walking pace for the horses to get to the river trails and back; and that time is included in your 2 hour ride time so in reality you only get 1 hour on the river trails. In my opinion the walk time to get to the trail and back shouldn't count hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Next time we will be doing the 3 hour ride so we can enjoy our time on the trail and not be so worried about when we need to be back at the barn. I honestly can't wait to go back!! read more

I have never written a review before, but I just had to for this company after how we were treated. My kids surprised me for Mother's day, with a day of horseback riding. I was so excited because its been years since I have been on a horse. My grand daughter just turned seven and she was with us. Anyway, we get there and we can't even tell it is a place of business. There's nothing inviting, telling you to come on in. So my daughter calls twice, no answer. Finally two people come out, my daughter and son meet them at the gate. They looked like they were getting ready to leave somewhere. They ask us if we have an appointment, like they are surprised at us being there, we say yes. The lady didn't even stop, make eye contact or say anything. The gentle men continues to talk, saying he didn't know that there was an appointment for that day and says maybe we spoke to their trainer. My daughter says no I spoke to Jamie, my son says can we speak to Jamie and he says yes, she is the one that walked right past us and went to her car across the street. My daughter tried to talk to her and she wouldn't get out of her car. We couldn't believe how we were being treated. No appologize, no I'm sorry we forgot, nothing. My grand daughter and I were so disappointed. Jamie, if she is the owner of the company should be ashamed of how she treated us, this is no way to run a business. Where do I even start? Well for one they never answer the damn phone.. (Very poorly managed and unprofessional) i emailed and called multiple times to finally schedule an appt. a month or 2 in advance. As He was taking down my info over the phone their computer system went down so after 15 min of telling him all my info we had to start over so he could write it down by hand. So frustrating especially with kids running around, then something I really didn't see relevant was when he asked for my credit card number over the phone! He said it was just in case i no showed they would have to charge me.. I didn't feel comfortable with that at all. NOW, come the day of our appt. I got lost and ended up at apparently their OLD address .. Which is the one online ! So I call the "business" number 4 times in panic I'm going to be late and of course NO answer. Finally I got a hold of one of their cell phone numbers and he redirected me to there NEW address that is still not updated online. I was pissed and so overwhelmed at this point. NOTE for "businesses" how about ANSWER the damn business phone IF YOU WANT BUSINESS!!!!! DUH! Anyways, when we finally arrive at everything equine, it just seems to be a large property in a residential neighborhood. We drive in and have to open and close a gate, and park on a dirt lot that has trailers parked on it so there's no managed parking, it seemed like I was gonna be in anyone's way or blocking someone in no matter where I parked. So, shit I just parked. We get out and start walking around the property of barns , with no one in site to direct us where to go. Finally I come cross a couple girls and I said are you in charge of the horse rides ? And they seemed confused and said oh no but I think the people are back there, and pointed us in the direction in the back, about 200 feet further from where we were, Sooo, I don't understand if there's people that share this property or what but they didn't seem to even know each other or what was up. WEIRD. Don't get it, any-who, just to conclude my yelp story, we eventually get to the back to a guy and a group of other unfortunate riders, end up waiting 30 minutes past our scheduled appt. time to actually get on our horses and take off. The ride was boring and not at all what was described online, I was anxious to walk the horse through water which was mentioned online but we did nothing of the sort. The leader Madison was VERY very sweet, I feel bad that she has to be representing such a crappy lack of "business" .. Overall everything equine is a poorly managed riding place with horrible customer service in all which ways. I think they are nice people that just woke up one day and said " hey let's make people pay to ride our horses on our property!" And then named it everything equine. they should've thought more into it. OK I had told the owner I would not write a bad review but after her response to my problem and the way everything was handled I have to. I had booked a groupon 6 people ride way back in October and we didn't ride til February. I had emailed Jamie gosh 20 times trying to get this thing arranged.So finally our day came.It was me and 5 of my classmates from school.We are 6 ladies nearing 60.We get there and it took us 20 minutes to even find out how to get back to the stables.Knocking on everyones doors-trying to get in the gate..finally a guy waved us back.Our appt was for ten am and they said get there at 930 for instructions.There were no instructions-there were no papers signed like perhaps a waiver saying they are not responsible if you fall off a dang horse.The guy Dane took 45 minutes pulling each horse out one by one and then saddling them while we stood around.I saw Jamie his wife walking around-never did she come up to me and say Hi Gaylene you and I have been emailing for months-nice to finally meet you.So I decide to get on first since I am the hostess.He brought out a stepstool cause it was a tall horse.I still couldn't get up with a stepstool so he brings an old rickety table so I stand on it and put one leg over and the horse decides to take a couple steps forward and I go down flat on my back. We all decided no we aren't going to do this. I still to this day and it is 2 weeks later have bruises-I cant sit comfortably because my coccyx is bruised and one of my fingers wont bend. Jamie did email me and lended her condolences and after several emails finally got a refund from Groupon.. My point is this place has good intentions rescuing horses but needs far better communication skills and business training because they are going to end up in court someday read more
