I came by for a weekday late lunch (around 3pm). Not many diners. This is a Chinese-run sushi place with the typical fare. A small selection of fish available, a pile of "American" style sushi rolls, and some value bento boxes.
I got the sashimi bento with teriyaki chicken:
2 tuna and 2 salmon sashimi pieces - fine, edible, crudely cut but generous pieces.
1 dynamite roll - 6 pcs or so. mediocre. Rice heavy.
Tempura - 1shrimp and 2 veg - batter-heavy and fried too long but edible.
green salad with the usual sesame dressing - small portion but enough
miso soup - giant portion, nothing special
teriyaki chicken - skin-on boneless thigh absolutely drenched in sauce - WAY too salty and sweet. And on a bed of more rice.
free green tea. Service was generally fast and the waitress was friendly enough. She was eating a meal herself and stopped to come serve us when we came in.
Restaurant is clean enough in the dining room. The back and bathroom are kinda gross.
Overall, food is ok. service is fine. Nothing special. The bento box was $19 or so plus tax and tip so pricing is reasonable.
Its on W Broadway so parking is terrible as usual.
If i was in the area and wanted some cheap sushi, this will do the trick. But absolutely nothing to write home about and definitely not worth making a trip to come here. These cheap sushi joints are everywhere in town and this one is nothing different. read more
