Stopped in for lunch to satisfy my drunken clams and pizza fix lol. It's something about those drunken clams no one in my opinion beats River Rocks. I sat outside as usual during the summer to enjoy the warm weather and the view of the water. I was very disappointed with the service this go around as I was never aknowledge by my waiter I even waited patiently as it was busy but after 20 mins I had to ask who was working this table. I was not happy about that but the food was good.

Went to River Rock on a beautiful day that happened to be Cinco de Mayo--perfect excuse for tacos and a margarita with a view of the water. I met a friend for lunch and we sat outside to enjoy the weather. The outdoor seating is really nice, but the inside is also pretty spacious with a good-sized bar. The menu has a nice variety. I was especially happy to see they offer gluten-free bun options for burgers and clearly label gluten-free items, which I always appreciate. They also have a sushi menu, which gives you even more choices. I ordered the Cinco de Mayo taco special and my friend got a BLT with fries--both were really good. Service was solid and prices were reasonable. Overall, a great casual spot with a nice view. I'd definitely go back.

Still as great as ever. Another beautiful summer night at River Rock!!! Really one of my favorite bar pies around.

Went for lunch during the week, fantastic service and a wonderful view. Would like to go back!

Those damn kids tenders!
Lisa B.

Food was fine but we ordered appetizers not kid meals. Received a kids tender. Server never showed back up with our waters or to check on us. We figured it would take forever by the time he came back to take our regular order that we decided to leave and go someplace else. Server had no problem coming back once the check was dropped to keep checking on it. lol. I'll be back because we're local but, maybe we need to train better...

Lavender lemonade

We stopped here for a drink before visiting friends in the area. There is a large parking lot. This is a great place to go if you want to watch some sports games. There are so many TVs. I really liked how there are two island bars in the middle of the place, which means plenty of seating. They had a large cocktail list, but nothing that really interested me. I was going to order one and then the bartender said that it normally gets sent back because it is too sweet. I appreciated the honesty, because I do not like sweet drinks. Instead I ordered the lavender lemonade, but it tasted like a spa, way too much lavender. We ordered a pizza, which was extremely thin and really tasty.

We had a lobster roll, New England clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, swordfish bites, and brussels sprouts, with bacon and Parmesan, and two unsweetened iced teas. Everything was wonderful. We highly recommend the swordfish bites, they were literally fantastic. You can sit inside or outside, we opted for outside because they had shady little nooks where you could sit that had fans and it was so cool and comfortable. I could've sat there for hours. This is a BYOB. We had also visited the other point lobster house that is in the walkable town a few blocks away and that is a bar so it's not a BYOB. Just something to keep in mind the spot that's by the water you need to bring your own wine.

Of course the parking was full but we looped around a couple times and were able to find something close. What we ordered: - Caesar Salad - Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks - Tuna Nachos (wonton chips, sesame seed tuna, seaweed salad, sesame teriyaki, avocado aioli) - New England Clam Chowder - Cold Lobster Roll platter with fries, coleslaw, and pickle The service was fine, a couple of items forgotten but it was a lot of people and they had no issue going back and checking for us. Food was ok, exactly what I thought it would be at a seafood place by the shore. The best thing was the tuna nachos in my opinion. I would return if I'm ever in the area.

Late night dinner after big bday celebration!…read more Our server was Katie-friendly, attentive and fast! Great smile too! I ordered the crab cake sandwich; my husband ordered the fried flounder sandwich. Both came with housemade fries. Fries were piled high; the flounder was so big we think it may have been a whole fish! The crab cake was fluffy backfin (VERY light on the "filler"-yay!) with a beautiful crust. I still had on my tiara and got lots of "Happy Birthday!" Wishes from staff as they passed by. We were too full for dessert, so we passed. But our server surprised me with a slice of homemade key lime pie complete with candle and singing colleagues! We'll be back soon for more tasty nibbles and treats!

Used to come here with my family each visit to Pt Pleasant, ~20 years ago! I can say it has stayed great and was happy with the food and service overall. We each tried drinks from their menu (coconut mojito and the hibiscus refresh) and both were fantastic and came out promptly. Ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer and they were good, not overly flavorful but decent and fresh. Salads were great. For entrees I had the Truffle Scallops and fettuccine dish, it was amazing. Definitely will be back for that. My dinner companion had one of their specials, a fra di avo lo mixed seafood dish over spaghetti. Also delicious! Our favorite thing here was the scallops by far, don't miss out! The waitstaff and busmen do a fantastic job here. Very attentive and friendly :) Can't wait to come back, thank you Shrimp Box!

Food average , portions , not counting Pasta, average. 4 meals one drink 170 dollars, left 200 cash. Service waiter was average, we had a reservation but still had to wait 35 minutes we were seated at a table in the back with no view. So for the price, the service , the ambiance, with a reservation and waiting 35 minutes, My opnion it is more of a tourist trap, a step up from Boardwalk food, but you can find better, cheaper and nicer elsewhere Its your money spend it wisely, For me I will not be returning.

What a great dinner…read more.. We decided to drive up to Point Pleasant for our last dinner of the long weekend and point Lobster Bar & Grill was the choice. When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here.

If you are coming later in the season, I would try to reserve. First up -- some nice slices of warm crusty Italian bread and butter. I ordered a cocktail special - the Kelle Belle (or similar) which reminded me of a Pimm's cup. La Portena had her usual Riesling -- no complaints. Lobster bisque was one of the hits, the typical rich broth, with the not so typical actual lobster meat - small bits to be sure, but so often there is no lobster at all. We also shared a lobster roll as a starter - it was good but I would have preferred larger chunks of meat - the roll was accompanied by some tasty tortilla chips. Next up, a complimentary salad - this was fine. I ordered soft shell crabs - they were perfectly fried meaty specimens but the french fries and cole slaw seemed like afterthoughts- the plating was haphazard. La Portena's flounder stuffed with crabmeat was a better plate overall. Two fresh small filets, stuffed with a savory filling and some good mashed potatoes. The glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc I chose to accompany the crab had the strongest grapefruit nose I have ever experienced. I know these always taste of grapefruit, but this wine was over the top. No room for dessert. Our server was warm and pleasant, and the entire experience transported me back to shore dinners with my parents in the 70s. I would return.

We ordered our drinks and apps and had a wonderfully pleasant waitress, Delores. It was busy the day before Father's Day but the staff was on point with their service and demeanor. New England clam chowder, loaded with clam & potato in a creamy base. Dinner: Scallops & linguine in a truffle cream sauce, earthy and delicious. Shrimp& grits with andouille sausage, tasty and spicy. Both hot Lobster roll w butter and cold w/ bruschetta, tender juicy and plentiful. The addition of the tents outside is a great addition. Umbrellas just do not offer enough shade for the whole table. We enjoy our meals and will be back again.
