Happy Valentine's Day !! Came around 12 on Valentine's Day! When we left there was a wait to sit. Waitresses were very kind and attentive. There is a to go area, bathroom, and then indoor seating area. They have merchandise behind the register. Started with the tuna nachos and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. We ordered the takeout order The lobster tacos were full of some kind of dressing, the lobster was tough and they were very small. We were told they didn't come with a side and then we end up with fries which we don't eat. The clam chowder was OK nothing a rave about won't be coming back plus very expensive so now after writing this review, come to find out we're throwing up all night some kind of food poisoning. We visited on Friday for lunch with a party of three and it was a nice experience. We arrived and were seated right away, the dining area is relatively small and has garage type, roll down windows, which made it a little cold due to the nasty weather. We started with a few appetizers; oysters on the half shell, clam chowder, and lobster mac & cheese. All were quite fresh and tasty, the chowder was served luke warm. After that we went with warm lobster rolls. The rolls had portions of lobster chunks and were excellent. The service was great, the waitress kept up with our needs while the place filled up. Went on another date last night, Sunday September 7th. It is right on the wharf. It is a fish market with what seems like a small restaurant attached. There appeared to be some outside seating as well. It's right on the Manasquan River. You can catch a nice sunset there. I must say the fried calamari is the best I've ever had. It was lightly battered, not overcooked, very tender, couldn't ask for better. My date ordered it but I think I ate most of it! I usually never order this appetizer as it usually is not good. She also ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries, she seemed to really enjoy it. I had the seared salmon tacos off the specials menu. They were served with tortilla chips. The chips seemed homemade, a good side. My tacos were delicious. I don't usually like salmon in a fish taco, but the way they were dressed, the pico and red onion, the flavor and texture just worked perfectly. Our server was excellent as well. This has been my go to lobster roll spot in Jersey Shore. The service is always great and the food is always amazing. Their "indoor" seating is the patio which is very comfortable, especially on a hot summer day. Would recommend coming here if you are in Point Pleasant or just craving a lobster roll. Honestly I did not care for the rice it was very starchy and not very flavorful. IMO This dish would be better with side of seasonal vegetables. The chocolate mouse cake was redeeming. lol. The Angry Hot Lobster Roll was good, first time trying a fried lobster roll and I have to say I do prefer a regular Hot Lobster Roll! Don't know what happened to what used to be the best lobster mac and cheese ever! Been going here for years for this particular reason, along with the super fresh fish, but at now $35 for a quart with only very small shreds of lobster, I'm done. The roll was warm with lots of buttered lobster and delicious. The fries were shoestring style and well done. Additionally, basket comes with a pickle and Cole slaw. We were there near lunchtime and seated promptly. Our server was great, knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure everything was as it should be and kept our drinks topped off.
