I've been coming to Shore Fresh for over 10 years. Love the fish tacos and house salad. Service is always great and the staff is always friendly. Great location in Pt Pleasant. Plus BYOB too!

Best lobster bisque I've ever had! Everything was so good and fresh! The guy behind the counter(don't know his name young guy in his 20s) was very nice, was telling us which seafood product had just arrived! Everything was brilliant as a guy from Chicago and tasting fresh seafood from the east coast for the first time! ! I give it a 1000000/10 Claire was lovely she was very attentive with us and made us feel welcomed!!! I Will definitely be back to try that lobster roll! Thank you guys! And thank you Claire.C! You were awesome!

We got seated immediately outside. Our waitress was nice but a little slow. The food is so fresh and yummy. The portions are good with everything except, I wish the tuna bites came with more, but we just ordered 2. But overall I have a good experience at this place.

Warming up with some fresh seafood. Yum!

When visiting Point Pleasant Beach on the Jersey Shore, it is imperative that you stop by one the many many many seafood restaurants available; but if you're going to enjoy some top quality seafood and reasonable prices, the you need to stop by Shore Fresh Seafood. First of all, it's important to point out that they were still open in the middle of winter, which alone is a testament to itself. Especially in a town where 90% of the restaurants and businesses are closed for the season. The second important piece of information is that whoever the chef is at This restaurant, knows how to cook scallops...PERIOD. It was a beautiful sunny day, but cold as ice and windy, so we decided to grab an early lunch to warm up. They offer a $20 lunch special which gives you your choice of sandwich with fries and a soup/salad. Wow, wow wow... I've had a lot of scallops in my life, and I've been pretty critical on how they're prepared; and they just know how to do it right. Today's lunch Choices Include: - Fried Scallops Sandwich - Shrimp Chowder - Clams on the Half shell

Dinner in a seafood market atmosphere. Not so fresh as the name implies. Friendly service but food was disappointing.

We had a lobster roll, New England clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, swordfish bites, and brussels sprouts, with bacon and Parmesan, and two unsweetened iced teas. Everything was wonderful. We highly recommend the swordfish bites, they were literally fantastic. You can sit inside or outside, we opted for outside because they had shady little nooks where you could sit that had fans and it was so cool and comfortable. I could've sat there for hours. This is a BYOB. We had also visited the other point lobster house that is in the walkable town a few blocks away and that is a bar so it's not a BYOB. Just something to keep in mind the spot that's by the water you need to bring your own wine.

What we ordered: - Caesar Salad - Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks - Tuna Nachos (wonton chips, sesame seed tuna, seaweed salad, sesame teriyaki, avocado aioli) - New England Clam Chowder - Cold Lobster Roll platter with fries, coleslaw, and pickle The service was fine, a couple of items forgotten but it was a lot of people and they had no issue going back and checking for us. Food was ok, exactly what I thought it would be at a seafood place by the shore. The best thing was the tuna nachos in my opinion. I would return if I'm ever in the area.

Late night dinner after big bday celebration!…read more Our server was Katie-friendly, attentive and fast! Great smile too! I ordered the crab cake sandwich; my husband ordered the fried flounder sandwich. Both came with housemade fries. Fries were piled high; the flounder was so big we think it may have been a whole fish! The crab cake was fluffy backfin (VERY light on the "filler"-yay!) with a beautiful crust. I still had on my tiara and got lots of "Happy Birthday!" Wishes from staff as they passed by. We were too full for dessert, so we passed. But our server surprised me with a slice of homemade key lime pie complete with candle and singing colleagues! We'll be back soon for more tasty nibbles and treats!

Used to come here with my family each visit to Pt Pleasant, ~20 years ago! I can say it has stayed great and was happy with the food and service overall. We each tried drinks from their menu (coconut mojito and the hibiscus refresh) and both were fantastic and came out promptly. Ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer and they were good, not overly flavorful but decent and fresh. Salads were great. For entrees I had the Truffle Scallops and fettuccine dish, it was amazing. Definitely will be back for that. My dinner companion had one of their specials, a fra di avo lo mixed seafood dish over spaghetti. Also delicious! Our favorite thing here was the scallops by far, don't miss out! The waitstaff and busmen do a fantastic job here. Very attentive and friendly :) Can't wait to come back, thank you Shrimp Box!

Service waiter was average, we had a reservation but still had to wait 35 minutes we were seated at a table in the back with no view. So for the price, the service , the ambiance, with a reservation and waiting 35 minutes, My opnion it is more of a tourist trap, a step up from Boardwalk food, but you can find better, cheaper and nicer elsewhere Its your money spend it wisely, For me I will not be returning.

What a great dinner…read more.. We decided to drive up to Point Pleasant for our last dinner of the long weekend and point Lobster Bar & Grill was the choice. When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here.

We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

If you are coming later in the season, I would try to reserve. First up -- some nice slices of warm crusty Italian bread and butter. I ordered a cocktail special - the Kelle Belle (or similar) which reminded me of a Pimm's cup. La Portena had her usual Riesling -- no complaints. Lobster bisque was one of the hits, the typical rich broth, with the not so typical actual lobster meat - small bits to be sure, but so often there is no lobster at all. We also shared a lobster roll as a starter - it was good but I would have preferred larger chunks of meat - the roll was accompanied by some tasty tortilla chips. Next up, a complimentary salad - this was fine. I ordered soft shell crabs - they were perfectly fried meaty specimens but the french fries and cole slaw seemed like afterthoughts- the plating was haphazard. La Portena's flounder stuffed with crabmeat was a better plate overall. Two fresh small filets, stuffed with a savory filling and some good mashed potatoes. The glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc I chose to accompany the crab had the strongest grapefruit nose I have ever experienced. I know these always taste of grapefruit, but this wine was over the top. No room for dessert. Our server was warm and pleasant, and the entire experience transported me back to shore dinners with my parents in the 70s. I would return.

New England clam chowder, loaded with clam & potato in a creamy base. Dinner: Scallops & linguine in a truffle cream sauce, earthy and delicious. Shrimp& grits with andouille sausage, tasty and spicy. Both hot Lobster roll w butter and cold w/ bruschetta, tender juicy and plentiful. The addition of the tents outside is a great addition. Umbrellas just do not offer enough shade for the whole table. We enjoy our meals and will be back again.
