ok, I'm lowering my rating to four stars. I went for my birthday dinner tonight and unfortunately the scallops were overcooked. they were VERY stringy. I'm not a big scallop eater, so I mentioned it to my friend and also googled stringy scallops, friend and Google both confirmed this means they're overcooked. my friend also reminded me the scallops were not good the last time we went either (she's the scallop connoisseur). the bathrooms were also in the same state they were since my last review. the good things about this evening's visit were the corn bisque and the creme brulee. I may stick to soups/dessert if I come back. The price isn't worth gambling on the entree personally. it's still a good spot and I may be back, it's just not a five star spot to me.

Delicious food and great service! I've gone here twice with friends and it was a pleasant experience. The food was scrumptious and service was excellent. We never felt we were waiting around for our server. Our water glasses were filled promptly when nearing empty. The seafood here is fresh and tasty. I'm not a big fan of the fish special they normally offer that comes with jumbo shrimp and I believe corvina fish. It lacked something for me and the sauce seemed too much. I recommend another seafood option instead. The temperature felt nice in here and not too chilly. It is a great date spot or a night out with friends or family. There is a small parking lot in the back, but enough that there's usually some spot open if you go around 5:30pm or so. It is located a straight shot down the street from the point pleasant boardwalk. My friends and I went here for dinner then enjoyed the rest of the evening playing boardwalk games and walking around. I highly recommend!

Been here a few times, maybe 4-5. Food is pretty good. Biggest "con" is that the menu never changes. Specials are normally pretty good, so I'd grab one of them if it speaks to you, because the other thing you're thinking about getting will probably still be there next time!

Beautiful inside on a cold and windy night. Our server was very good and knowledgeable on everything the kitchen had to offer. I opted for the Halibut, but I'm looking forward to returning to try the duck entree.

Highly recommended by friends and it was a truly outstanding meal at this BYOB restaurant. Outstanding service. The wedge salad and the octopus appetizers were delicious and shareable. The main course steaks and fish dishes were also outstanding. Added bonus is that the restaurant has sound panels throughout making very easy to carry on a conversation there. I was able to pull right into a street parking spot a couple of doors away from the entrance.

One of my favorite places for a nice, upscale, intimate dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The staff are polite and professional. The menu is absolutely delicious. From appetizers to dessert, there is something for everyone. I have been to this establishment at least a half a dozen times and I've never been disappointed. The pear pizzetta and beef carpaccio is our favor appetizers. For the main course, I have indulged their ancho-coffee rubbed New York strip, parmesan, and almond crusted halibut, and the diver scallops. All were amazing. Their gelato and sorbet is all made in house and melts in your mouth. For a little more indulgence try the lemon Napoleon. All in all this place is amazing. It's BYOB so I'm willing to pay more since I can bring my own bottle. You will not be disappointed.

But you do, I said, it's on the menu in the seafood boil. The waitress went to the kitchen and return saying we don't sell them separately. It's a seafood place for crying out loud. So we ordered the seafood boil as an appetizer and took the clams out. I ordered the fish tacos, which were just OK. The worst thing about the dish was the bland rice and the black beans that were served apparently right out of the can with no seasoning. You could've at least thrown some spices in them. I had to ask for a side of salsa to give the beans some flavor We had several appetizers and quite a large group. The waitress handled the group very well.

I recently tried their new spring menu and everything hit. Apps: Crabby gabby sushi roll -- my fave at a B2 restaurant and I loved it here as well! Bruschetta burrata -- abundant and the burrata was soo fresh. Baked Mac and cheese with lobster -- the creamiest mac and cheese and big chunks of meaty lobster. Scarpiello wings -- sticky and savory perfection. Could've made a made off this alone! Entrees: Pan seared scallops with polenta -- the scallops were nice and tender and seared very nicely. Linguine & clams with red sauce -- very generous with the clams and the sauce was flavored very well. Cheesesteak -- tender, juicy, huge portion and served on amazing bread. Deliciously cut fries too. Drinks: Berry loca margarita -- not even a big marg person and I loved this. Spring fling sangria -- my friend downed hers! Dessert: Chocolate lava cake -- oozing with chocolate. Sooo delicious. Can't skip this! Service was awesome -- our waiters were so friendly and helpful. B2 Bistro+Bar was close to a restaurant we finally agreed on, but was closed that Sunday. I am actually happy it was closed because B2 Bistro+Bar was exactly what we needed that day. I had a Snow Globe Martini ($16) which impressed me with edible glitter (yes I am a chid at heart). We shared the Bruschetta Burrata ($20), which was good but they gave us only 4 small slices of toasts. My friend and I both thought they should have given 6 minimum, especially because 2 of them had huge hole in the middle so did it even count? lol For main I ordered a Prime Burger ($22) and my friend a Creamy Cajun Alfredo with Shrimp ($38). We genuinely loved our food. The space was large and spaced out. There was a 360 bar in the middle of the space. Nicely decorated for valentines day with strings of hearts falling from the ceiling/ lights. When we are in the area again - I think I would like to come back and try other things on the menu.

I've always heard good things, and I thought the food stood up to the reputation. The restaurant was packed on a Monday night, which was probably a good sign for what led to a delicious meal. I really enjoyed the roasted oysters topped with yummy breadcrumbs. My daughter enjoyed a sushi appetizer and wedge salad with blackened tuna that she claimed was delicious as well. Our other dinner partner enjoyed his halibut. I really loved the show-stopping, gigantic jumbo lump crab meat risotto. It was very filling, but super delicious. The food was rich and, in some ways, basic, but executed perfectly. I added some of the street corn and that really made things even better get this dish. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere was busy, if not hectic. Our table was in the middle of the room, next to a large family with little kids. One was seven months old and the other was two. That seemed like a bit much for a dinner with these price points. It's not an inexpensive restaurant and certainly not a family-vibe Houlihan's. We had mixed feelings about the atmosphere, but I kind of thought it was cool--a really pretty building with some rustic charm.

Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to?…read more Actually, yes, it is. And I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, but it was worth every minute. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ended up being seated in a back patio room and though it was very hot outside (one of those 100 degree days last summer), it was actually very nice in there. The show started with someone asking for our drink order, then coming back with said drinks. After that she brought out some starts on the house, courtesy of chef and owner Joe. We were off to a great start! Soon after she returned to get our dinner order. After that, Chef Joe himself showed up to our table to thank us for visiting his restaurant and ask how we liked things so far. We let him know those starters were perfect...eggplant balls and a corn/tomato salad. Eventually our dinner came. Both dishes were waaaaaaaay more food than either of us expected. I had ordered chicken with mozzarella squares on top and drizzled in balsamic, which was a special created by Chef Joe's wife, according to the menu. My partner got eggplant parm...and wow, what a pile of food it was. Two huge eggplant pieces piled high with delicious sauce and served with some delectable pasta. Chef Joe came back to the dining room awhile later to ask people how their entrees were, and we let him know this was a great experience. I want to go back to Point Pleasant just to get here again. This time I will make a reservation.
