I definitely didn't think this place was as bad as the reviews it gets. Came yesterday during happy hour. Decently busy. Waitress was nice but definitely was busy and took a while to assist us. We ordered a lot of food and everyone seemed to enjoy what they got. Great location right on the water. Pricing wasn't too bad. I'd come back.

Steak with coconut jasmine rice and salad!! Delicious!!

I have been trying to visit this place for years. I finally decided today was the day. Glad I came, met a few very nice people and they flew in 2 ppl singers that were awesome at every tune. Counters were packed. I managed to get a standing area by the beer tap . People on either side of me immediately started talking to me. Nice person bought my first drink. Eddie the bartender was great!! I was fascinated by how his speed on drinks were accurate. He was not skipping a beat. Dan sat next to me. We hit it off. I was very happy I was there at that moment to meet great bunch of people. The music was so good I danced a bit. I enjoyed myself a lot. I look forward to my next visit. Until then !!

All these bad reviews had us scared but you know what, it wasn't bad at all. Went a couple of weeks ago on a Friday at 6. Since it was still off season it wasn't crowded and it was easy to find a parking spot. We opted to sit inside since the weather was a little chilly and some in our group didn't bring a jacket and this spot is right on the water. We were prepared to not like our food...based on the reviews. I ordered the hanger steak salad and the rest of the group ordered sliders. We wanted to keep it simple. And we all really liked our meals. They were quite good. As for the drinks, I immediately noticed that the prices were not on the menu which means we got the tourist menu. I mentioned that to the server and she told me the price of what I wanted to order. We had some random drinks and they were fine. The band came on at 8, which was our cue to leave. This place is fine. It's a typical jersey shore bar.

Parking. Includes outdoor dining. Very nice summer tiki decor. View of the water and boats. Friendly service. We ordered lobster rolls which needed seasoning. And the nachos were huge but lacked cheese and it had steak with no seasoning. Overall nice view and summer spot. Food was okay.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch. Very clean- beautiful views- friendly hostess and very friendly bartender! Got some food to pick on and share over a beer. Had a nice selection of beers on tap. Food was okay - felt like everything could have had a little more flavor but cooked perfectly!

Love this spot. It is right on the water and the food is delicious. Our server jenn was so friendly and accommodating. We love getting seafood and drinks here and i reccomend the clams and filet mignon sliders. Great spot to come on a nice day outside to be on the water

everything was good!

this was actually a pretty cool spot! came in on a thursday around 5pm in June and there was still a decent crowd. Service was prompt and Taylor did a great job attending to us. Orders came in right and im surprised the Penne Vodka was absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed my burger. I had ordered Medium and it was cooked perfect and juicy! again, another surprise since i didnt have such high expections. Apps were good as well but didnt expect to enjoy the BBQ caulifower more than the calamari! whoa! Love the vibrant colors as it added to such a chill and inviting vibe. Marina was nice and clean and their Party Pontoon looks amazing!

We came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We did not have anything to eat. We just had some drinks and sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of the marina. There isn't much parking in the parking lot, but you can park on the side street nearby. We saw some food come out and it looked pretty good. I would definitely go back and try it.

It's a happy place @thepigandparrot * Beautiful restaurant on the water, good food, but the atmosphere is what we liked best. Drinks are big and delicious! * They also have party boats @pigandparrotsandbar @pigandparrotpontoon which we are extremely interested in so maybe a video about those soon * Anyway it's a perfect stop on the way to or home from the beach, this day we went to @ptpleasantbeach and saw a sign for Pig & Parrot in the way. Point Pleasant is our favorite beach so it's nice to know there's a really cool delicious restaurant right next door.

finally had the opportunity to stop here and have dinner good crowd nice views started off with a red parrot, which was a strawberry lemonade vodka just frozen. We also had pretzel sticks and chips and guac to start. I decided to go with the mahi-mahi tacos, which were pretty good. My favorite part was the vibes of the place and the views, the servers were OK. It could've been better but there was live music and then afterwards they played just regular music, which was good too. Definitely a spot to hang out and get drinks. It's probably good for nightlife as well. Might come back for that.

Epic talent at open mic night, Monday nights. This young musician is super talented!!! the leader of the night Kevin Hill is awesome

We started our meal with Fried Calamari that was a potion that the three of us could not finish. The calamari was fried just enough and on the side was enough tomato sauce for all that we were given. This was middle of the road with no spice intended. For my meal I had seafood risotto that was fantastic. It came w small pieces of lobster, clams, shrimp and I believe scallops. This came in a nice amount of risotto and a sauce that was the best. There was plenty of fish to pair with risotto. Nobody could claim they skimped on the fish as there was plenty. A second meal was off the daily specials. This was cubed eggplant and pasta. The pasta was rigatoni in a very nice tomato sauce. And again this was another great tasing meal. The final meal was eggplant parm that came with spaghetti. The eggplant and cheese balance was really good and my wife loved the dish. Overall everyone loved their meals and all of us took home enough for another lunch or dinner. This is not our first time here and plan on returning again. They offer a dinner section, seating at the bar and some high top tables to fit your liking. Waitress service was top shelf and revisited the table on a frequent basis. If you want great meals at a fair price this is a place for you to at least try. Our bill plus soda and ice tea was barely $100. My only callout is the noise in the room is a bit loud. There is little draping to deaden the sound and if you are looking for a quiet meal this might not be your place. Especially Friday through Sunday.

But then both bartenders paid no attention to most people at the bar, they even avoided eye contact. They only catered to the locals who were probably 25% of the patrons. to sit there and have dinner..and only have 2 drinks over 2 hours is crazy. They would avoid you..tried to get another drink or dessert menu..forget it. I finally kinda yelled to get my check..and we exited. I took my business to another well known local bar for one drink and dessert..gave those folks a tip larger than the tab..excellent service.

We went out to eat twice while there, once for dinner and once for lunch. I will review both places using this as my intro to the reviews. For dinner, we ate at Jack Baker's Wharfside, which I also see listed as The Wharfside Seafood & Patio Bar. Frankly surprised it has very average ratings, as I would not say that was our experience on Tuesday night, August 4, 2026. It was reasonably busy and likely explains the somewhat slow service. We were 4 adults and a toddler. We had a few cocktails; all were reasonably good and fairly priced. There were also a few glasses of wine with the meals from a decent, but not extensive list. Everyone had seafood, including the toddler, which included the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer that was a crowd pleaser, and main courses that consisted of snow crab, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and lobster. i was the only one to have the lobster bisque, which I thought exceptional, as it had a creamy consistency and loaded with lobster chunks. There were no complaints though about any of the dishes and we were all happy customers. The prices were reasonable considering the fare and the location, especially as the patio featured a live band, We dined on the patio, but far away from the band, so the music level was pleasant, having seen some reviews suggesting it can be a bit much. It would be hard to complain though about the scenery, as the patio faces a calm channel that leads out to sea. All in all it was very a successful evening. I felt this rated a solid 4, understanding some would rate it a 5, but difficult to understand why anyone would place it lower than a 3.

The Dockside Shrimp and Fried Pork Pot Stickers were both delicious, shareable appetizers and arrived quickly. For entrées, the Tuna Poke Bowl, Shrimp Poke Bowl, and Jambalaya were all flavorful and generously portioned. My main complaint was the timing of the food. The poke bowls came out less than five minutes after the appetizers arrived and about 15 minutes before the jambalaya. Our server mentioned they would come out faster, but the pacing made it difficult to enjoy the appetizers before the table was filled with entrées. Thankfully, the poke bowls were cold, so we didn't have to eat them immediately, but it still felt rushed. Next time, we will not be ordering entrees until after we are done with appetizers since it seems the staff doesn't do anything to mitigate timing. We understand the poke bowls coming out before the regular entrees, but it coming that quickly after apps is an issue on the waiter's side in my opinion. Overall, the food, views, outdoor seating, and convenient parking made for a very enjoyable meal. I'd definitely return and would just hope for a little better coordination between the kitchen and sushi station next time.

When visiting my sister, my brother in law, nephews and niece, we almost always venture over to Frankie's to, as my nephew likes to say, murder some wings. And folks, their wings are murder worthy. 10/10. Their cooking layout is unique as their grilling is done under a massive hood in the middle of the bar manned by someone who I can only refer to as a genius. I watch her mesmerized as she grills up clams, burgers and, as I mentioned, some of the best damn buffalo wings I've ever had. She puts them on the grill to cook and then removes them, tosses them in buffalo sauce and puts them back on to cook. The process is repeated a few time leads to buffalo wing perfection. Drinks and pours are also generous, featuring some damn good crafts and standards on tap. Now as most things in a tourist town, food and drink prices are usually quite high and Pt Pleasant is certainly no different. Frankie's, however, is. We had 3 beers and three generous orders of wings and received a tab of a whopping $45 which I though bordered on cheap. The place is great, certainly one of my fav bar & grills. If you're down that way, pay them a visit. I'm sure it will be one of your favs as well. Kudos.

The restaurant was packed on a Monday night, which was probably a good sign for what led to a delicious meal. I really enjoyed the roasted oysters topped with yummy breadcrumbs.
