    Tiny martini

First the positives! The pizza was great and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The hostess and bartenders were friendly and prompt. Now for the negatives! Upon walking in, we were greeted with the unpleasant smell of poop. The entire restaurant smelled like sewage the entire time we were there for some reason. The surf and turf skewer had literally one tiny piece of steak, and one shrimp. Pathetic. My martini was 1/3 full when it came - looked maybe half full once they dropped the olives in. I don't think I'll be back.

OMG! We were looking for a place that had a happy hour until 7:00 on a Wednesday. (It was already 6) I looked online, "Happy Hours until 7 near me" and this was the first hit. It looked cool so we went. The decor is amazing, and Melanie and Michael, were so nice and accommodating. It just so happens, it was the very first day for the happy hour and the happy hour menu. And I can recommend everything on it, both drinks AND food! We ordered the Filet sliders, the Kobe beef meatball sliders, Burrata Caprese, tuna tartare, and a taco. All ridiculous! I had the sangria and a margarita, both excellent. Highly recommend, 10/10 no notes.

My Review of Park Social, Neptune There's a lot of hype about this restaurant that opened in December, so I decided to see what it was all about. I was thrilled to find valet parking because it was a rainy Friday night. When I walked in, I was shocked to see the transformation of the space from the last time I was there. Very chic without being pretentious, and I found it very cozy. Most people were dressed nicely. We live in a very casual area, so it's nice to get dressed every once in a while. We were greeted at the door and walked up to the podium, where the hostess was. The hostess was very pleasant and gave us the option of sitting at the bar or sitting at a high top in the bar. We decided to sit at the bar. One of my pet peeves is an unfriendly bartender; I mean, don't you think a bartender should have some kind of personality? I was pleasantly surprised that our bartender, Mike, was super nice, very informative, knew the menu, knew the drinks, and made a lot of recommendations. We decided to share plates so we could sample a few things. Shortly after we were seated, we were greeted by the manager, Johnny, who introduced himself. I noticed he went around to all the tables and worked the room while we were there. Exactly what a manager should do. They had a DJ in the corner of the bar. We were seated super close, and the manager asked if we wanted to move when he started, and we decided to take our chances. The volume wasn't super loud, so it was fun. I have to say I really enjoyed the music/mix-up selections. I actually took his card. There isn't any room for dancing, so it's just part of the vibe. I would suggest that, at the end of the night, they have the DJ in one of the rooms, clear some of the tables, and make an area for dancing. We ordered wine & had a Death becomes her cocktail that was excellent , cacio e pepe (a ten)tempura lobster and shrimp (if I ordered again, I would ask them for the sauce on the side). The grilled Caesar came with two chicken croquettes and shaved Parmesan--excellent! The Kobe meatball topped with ricotta cheese was good, but I wouldn't order it again. There was one meatball for $18, and I know why--because it was Kobe beef--but you couldnt really tell that it was Kobe beef. It tasted like a really good meatball, but for $18, I will pass next time. I spoke to someone who had the pizza, and they said the angry pizza and the fig pizza were amazing. For dessert, we ordered the donuts and tiramisu. The donuts were served in a bowl with no dipping sauces. I would rather have fewer donuts and have dipping sauces. But when I mentioned to the bartender that it would be great if they had dipping sauces, he came out with a little dish of caramel and chocolate. The tiramisu was delicious. It's so nice having a restaurant of this caliber so close to home. We usually drive to Asbury or Red Bank for upscale dining. All in all, I give the atmosphere and vibe a 10, the food an 8, and the staff a 10. This is not a budget-friendly restaurant, but we have plenty in this area, so I don't see it as an issue. What I loved: I love the vibe of the restaurant, the drinks, and I really loved that they had great mocktails. The drinks, atmosphere, food , and the staff were excellent. The restaurant business is really hard. I hope they make it. I think with some creative ideas on slow days, they can. We will definitely be returning and trying the steak. That's all folks!

This is our second time there for dinner and the place delivered both times. We had the bacon as an appetizer, a filet mignon, a salad that I can't recall the name of but had artichokes in it and was very tasty. We also had the mashed potatoes - delicious. First time we sat at a table and the second time we ate at the bar. This place has a very solid staff. The bartenders are old school professional and the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The maitre d - a guy named John is also very engaging and attentive to the operations of the business. If you want to go back in time when service, quality and atmosphere meant something - this is your place. No gimmicks, no nonsense, no illusions - it's an authentic joint. Good to know someone is doing it right.

    "Farmer's Field"

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I tried this place when it first opened and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back for my friend's 40th. We had a group of 10 , our bill was close to 2k. The food is mediocre, at best. Do yourself a favor, never order the "Farmer's Field" -unless you want to pay $30 for breadcrumbs and slimy mushrooms - picture attached for reference. The next day our server text one of the girls in our party saying that the manager wanted her to contact us so we can "return the picture we stole off the wall." Needless to say- we were shocked. We asked the server why they thought this and they said they have video footage of us taking a picture off the wall. We asked for the footage- but never received it. Shortly thereafter an Instagram reel we had created was shared to their Instagram account and captioned accusing us of stealing the picture! We immediately contacted them asking to take the post down to which they refused. The owners continue say that they have video footage of us but their story has changed numerous times . First they said they had us on video taking the picture then it was that we were hiding the picture under our coats and had the picture in a to-go bag, but have refused to provide any proof. Word of caution- stay far away!

Great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was fancy and inviting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal and great vibes!

Salmon, crispy Brussels sprouts, truffle parm mashed potatoes. (Everything pictured gf)

The restaurant is beautiful! Food and service were amazing! As someone with a gluten allergy they made me feel very comfortable about avoiding cross contamination and everything is labeled on the menu.

To start with the ambiance, it was elegant yet modern. We had the Steak Tartar and it was definitely one of the best appetizers I have ever had. Our waiter G, he went above and beyond for us. He recommended us food, drinks and even had a great conversation with us. Definitely recommend this spot! 10/10

The service throughout the night was appreciated, specifically at the bar. I will give my thoughts on each food item tried below. Lomi-Lomi Salmon - This raw dish was tasty. There was solid flavor and tiny pieces of salmon had a melt in the mouth like texture. Kalua Pork - This was very tender with a good amount of seasoning. Sweet Potatoes - I believe these were purple. They were good with having a soft texture too. Mixed Green Salad with Papaya Seed Dressing - This was light and a nice compliment to the other dishes. Macaroni Salad - Again, this was light with tons of flavor. Huli Huli Chicken - These were small chicken wings with lots of meat. They had a slightly sweet flavor to them and were very tender too. Will I go back? Yes.

Didn't order any cocktails, just prosecco and wine, so can't really review those. Music was decent enough and if you move to the far end of the rooftop past the bathrooms, you can even have a nice conversation without screaming. I'd definitely come back again for a cocktail or two.

The Matcha Matcha Man was smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to drink -- the matcha coconut cream with the ginger beer gave it such a unique refreshing kick. The Lady Marmalade tasted like sunshine in a glass with the perfect citrusy balance and just enough sweetness from the marmalade. The food menu is definitely more small plates/appetizer style, but honestly everything tasted super fresh and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp were jumbo and crispy with the perfect sweetness, the mango habanero chicken bites super fresh, and the wagyu sliders disappeared embarrassingly fast. The real star though? Being located right along the river in downtown Asbury provides a scenic backdrop should you be so lucky be seated at a window. My birthday was very fortunate having landed on restaurant week in Asbury, of which Moonstruck also participate. As part of restaurant week, we received three-courses for the same cost as entree ordinarily would on its own. I began with a cream of sweet potato soup that was thick, creamy, and delicious. This was followed by an everything crusted Salmon that I very much enjoyed. I find that while a lot of restaurants offer salmon, few prepare it as well as the offering Moonstruck has here, being perfectly cooked and well seasoned with everything seasoning. It was topped off with a pumpkin cheesecake that was just sweet enough to satisfy. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Moonstruck and will certainly be making a return visit when back in the area!

Also, quick PSA on the dirty martini: it's shaken with blue cheese and comes out looking more like blue cheese dressing than a martini. Didnt partake in $25 valet parking but was sorely tempted. The indoors are beautiful, white walls and pretty decorations, large bar. Service: Terrific. 5 stars. Julia was awesome, helpful and honest. I did tell her I cant eat spicy stuff although I enjoy lightly spicy stuff. Drinks: I tried the Lebanese red wine. Very nice medium body. My husband tried the old fashioned which he said were good. Starters: we had the salatim which is 6 different dips and two piping hot large pita breads. I liked 4 out of 6 dips while hubby liked 5 out of 6. We both loved the hummus, salad, lima bean, and eggplant ones. This kind of eating is always fun. The discovery! STAR: The star is the halloumi. Fried cheese with lightly sweet crispy crust honeyed and topped with a light refreshing salad and pomenegrate seeds. Our server charmingly apologized she forgot to warn me about the codfish chili being potentially hot but I ended up trying and enjoying it, although I felt the fish was slightly overcooked. Not rubbery but a little too crusty and not flaky enough. I did not complain though because her dessert recommendation for malabi, a custard with oat crisps, was lovely. Nice to share with hubby and cap off the night. Temperature control: we sat somewhat near the front so were hit with cold air anytime someone entered. My husband is recovering from back surgery so walking was difficult for him. I appreciate he planned such a nice outing for us despite his walking challenges. All in all, we would return and explore cocktails and other menu items.

Taka has a vast menu with many options from appetizers to specialty sushi options. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic mocktails for those of us not interested in consuming liquor.....the mocktails are fantastic. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars was the staff needs a bit of work on serving. We ordered an appetizer and were also given two additional small plates since we were sharing this item. When we were done with the appetizer our specialty sushi plates were bought out and the same server left the three empty plates from the appetizers on the table instead of removing them.
