We started with a drink at the bar during the new happy hour. It includes some food, plus drink specials. We moved over to the dining room for dinner and enjoyed the live music. It's not too loud so you can still hear each other. For dinner we had the meatballs, bacon, spicy rigatoni, halibut, short ribs, and the pork chop. Everything was delish. I noted it was my mom's birthday and they brought out complimentary cake and a sparkler which was really nice. Overall I'd recommend for both dinner or drinks and apps at the bar. read more

Party of eight. Sat in the bourbon room. Ordered five apps, two pastas, two flat breads, two steaks, two fish dishes. Bunch of wine, drinks and bourbon tasting. My Old Fashioned was delicious. Honestly everything was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly, food was literally all great and the bourbon room is the perfect, cozy ambience. Atmosphere and decor are solid here. Food is good. service is friendly. They are new and still working out a few kinks, though. Couple of mix ups and delays with our order. I would come back again after they get their groove. There's a couple of fun table side cocktails. Saw The Tradewinds on my Instagram account! Made reservations- party of 5. It's beautifully decorated! The complimentary bread was delicious! Food was tasty! There was a bit of a lag from the appetizers to entrees. We were offered more bread- yum! Our Server Jack checked in on us. He was great! He couldn't make recommendations on cocktails he doesn't drink but asked the bartender for the sweetest drink for me! Loved the SEE YOU IN PARADISE cocktail. Another Server came to open bottle of wine. Service- First wine glass placed on the table was visibly dirty, my husband had to ask for another glass. Utensils were not changed for each entree. Instead another staff member collected the appetizer plates and tilted the plate to slide the utensils unto the table. Not proper etiquette. On my birthday, 09/29,25, my husband & I had made a reservation to Tradewinds for Dinner. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning inside. Quiet setting where we were able to talk & the music selection was great! The seasonal cocktails we purchased were super yummy & very flavorful! The waitstaff was super friendly and very attentive. We got 2 appetizers the bacon slab & lobster bisque soup. The soup was good not anything to write home about. The slab of bacon was huge and quite chewy. My husband got the stuffed lobster tail and said it was delicious. I got the bolognase pasta and it was pretty good. Went for the first time to the latest rendition of a restaurant at the White Sands Hotel in Point Pleasant Beach. The new ownership has done a beautiful job. The decor is first rate. The tables are spread out and spacious. The wait staff they hired is exceptional; with one of our dining companions describing our waitress Lisa as adorable. Beyond that, however, the food does not live up to the rest of the place. Though exciting in description on the menu, many of the items fall short in the execution. It is probably slightly above average. The food is not bad but rarely rises above the average. In addition since opening, they have simplified the menu, removing the beef Wellington main course and lobster appetizer among other things. Though we are into winter, the saddest thing was that on a Saturday night, the restaurant was less than half full. Though I will return in the future, hopefully others will discover this charming place to give it a chance at survival. read more

Been here a couple times, much better the second go around, looks like some things have changed even tho this place is fairly new. Drinks, food and service have much improved since the first time. Very cool atmosphere to dine in, and the whiskey lounge around the corner is very dope with a really good whiskey menu , located in the same location. We've heard about this place for a few months now. We finally got to go and it didn't disappoint! Our server Chris was super friendly and attentive. Calamari and spinach/artichoke flatbread were a great start. My Wife got the Spicy Paccheri which was right up her alley. I got the Pork chop Scarpiello which was double cut chop, tender & delicious. The STAR of the night was the new Bourbon Bar & Lounge that they opened the night before. After dinner we stopped by there for a couple old fashioned's. Great selection of Bourbons/beers and the atmosphere was awesome. The new GM, John, came by and asked about our experience. Last visit we had a wonderful dining experience with our waiter Chris. The atmosphere is very soft with dark colors. I needed the light on my phone to see the menu better but I'm use to that. My husband Drew and I went to Tradewinds last night and could not be more thrilled about this new beautiful spot. We especially loved our waiter AUSTIN who was so personable and gave us great recommendations on appetizers and drinks. We took his advice and ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and loved every bite. We also ordered the cherry vodka drink he recommended which was made perfect and was delicious. For dinner we had the spicy pasta and Filet minion both cooked perfectly. The decor is really beautiful. This is a great spot for large groups, a fun girls night out or a date night. The food is overpriced for the quality of the dishes. Everything is covered in bland sauces. The service is horrendous. The food took an hour to come, after asking for it twice. The ambiance is tacky. I thought the decor was set up for Christmas but it's like that year round. I think it comes off cool in instagram pics but the fake leaves and strings of lights look tacky in real life. I booked a reservation for my husband's birthday and had high expectations due to online hype. There were only a few reviews at the time. Our experience failed on all levels. Dinks were tasteless and presentation flat. The food was bland. As one of apps we ordered the beet salad, beets were canned not fresh. I ordered halibut which came in a white sauce no flavor accompanied by steamed broccoli and carrots no seasoning whatsoever. Something you would get at a cafeteria. Expected so much more for a high end restaurant. Skipped dessert because didn't want to be disappointed again. Also eating utensils were one step above plastic. Also not what you expect with high end dining. Sorry had to be honest. When you're putting high prices on food and drinks you need to be offering something delicious and noteworthy. One and done. It was our first time and last time dining at Tradewinds in Point Pleasant, NJ. We were a table of eight friends looking forward to a nice relaxing dinner with some laughs. Our dinner was anything but relaxing due to an influencer that was running around the restaurant with her phone making a spectacle of herself. She was an annoyance and distraction to all that were trying have a nice night out, especially when she lit up the dining room with her ring light while recording herself. Very obnoxious. When we first arrived we sat at the bar and had a cocktail. Very cool vibe there. We saw the influencer but didn't think anything of it until we were seated. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The waiter came over and introduced himself took our drink order. All eight of us ordered a drink, four of which were incorrect when he brought the drinks to us. Once we all had our drinks we ordered our appetizers. We ordered dinner shortly thereafter. When we finished our appetizers, it took well over an hour for the main course to come out. It was about 9:30 at this point. The food was good but the portions were small. $38 for a scallop dinner and there were only 3 small scallops on the plate with a small portion of rice and vegetable. Now let's discuss the staff. Our waiter Austin was young and inexperienced but very nice and full of energy. He was doing a good job. The manager however was more interested in pleasing the influencer than the patrons who were at the restaurant spending good money to have a nice evening. There were some unhappy patrons annoyed by the distraction of the influencer. When the manager was approached with complaints of the influencer his response was "we paid a lot of money to have her here and we are not going to stop her from recording". His response should have been "I'm very sorry but we hired her to advertise. Can I buy you a round of drinks or offer you dessert on the house for your inconvenience?" It's a shame the Tradewinds had to hire an influencer to drum up business. Most successful restaurants gain business by word of mouth which travels fast. Service was so slow that I had to cancel my order. First off, we waited for our entrees for an hour or more. When the food finally arrived for my friends, they looked like they were prepared in the cafeteria. Side of steamed rice, broccoli, then the main protein. No presentation whatsoever for fine dining menu prices. My friends started eating of course because we waited so long. In about 30 minutes, My food still hasn't arrived and asked the waiter about mine, he said about 2 to 3 minutes. 10 minutes had passed, seeing all the other customers getting their food and no sign of mine. I lost my appetite and I have no intention of rushing to eat my food while my friends are done. I called the waiter and told him to cancel. He apologized and offered to wrap it to go when it's ready. I said no, thank you, I thought to myself why would I want to pay for $40 food as a takeout. I don't blame the waiter but the manager could have come out to apologize. The one star is for the drinks and pretty atmosphere. I just ate there last Thursday and had one of the worst dining experiences ever. The service was incredibly slow - but we could deal with that had the food been worth it. Apps were meh (calamari winning here - flatbread had a lunchable vibe). Main course was horrible. Three of us had sea bass - and two looked like a regular filet. Mine looked more like a swordfish fillet - with grill marks. When I asked about it - I was told "it's a different cut" - ummm no - that's just not how sea bass fillets are cut. Our side was supposed to be jasmine rice - but none to by found on our aesthetically displeasing plates - but rather a portion of what appeared to be instant mashed potatoes. When we asked - we were told they were out of rice. Rice ? The shelf stable stuff that comes in giant bags ?? One in our party ordered the scallops. Overcooked - but more astonishing for over $40 was that there were only THREE on the main plate. THREE. Since I had the tasteless not-sea bass sea bass - I was offered one and they were ok. Not great - but ok. I was super excited to try this place - and my god what a letdown. Unless you seriously can't get in anywhere else - avoid it. And if you do go - stick to a liquid dinner only - as the drinks (and insta worthy decorations) were the only highlight of this meal. Overpriced and completely disappointing experience. They recognized that the meal was disappointing to us - and to be fair offered us dessert. When we declined they offered to pack it to go (as we were already there three hours) - I guess that gesture was nice - but it's hard to come back from charging 40 plus dollars a plate for what we were served.
