I visited here Friday for happy hour. They have a nice bar outside but we opted for inside being it was a little windy. We decided to have a nosh and cocktail before heading to dinner at Ohana. The sliced strip with tomato appetizer was fantastic. It was prepared in a red vinegar sauce and very tender. I also had the house tequila on the rocks. Not bad for $7. Loved this local Lavalette bar. Cute seaside town.

A must-visit when the weather is too beautiful to be dining inside! Any place that allows me to enjoy a drink while waiting for a table is an excellent spot in my book and Castaways Pub offers just that! They've got a small bar with beachy decor and lively energy right outside for you to enjoy a cocktail roadside! It was a beautiful day, so my friends and I were able to hang out there for about 20 minutes before they sat us in the outdoor bar patio area for lunch. While it wasn't a large outdoor bar area, it worked perfectly for the 5 of us and made for a fun spot to kick back and relax before dining. Once we were seated, I went for the Castaway House Burger. The burger did not disappoint - it was juicy with gooey cheddar cheese and a whiskey-aged barrel sauce that took the burger to the next level. To finish off our meal, we decided to indulge in the Chocolate Skyscraper Cake. It was a masterpiece of chocolate cake layers and rich chocolate frosting, topped with a little mint leaf. What really set Castaways Pub apart for me, though, was the outdoor patio seating. The patio was situated on the corner of the street, giving us an amazing view of the bustling street and a hint of ocean scent just beyond the horizon. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a mix of families, couples, and friends and the staff was fast with their table service and kept checking in on our drinks at a good pace for our group.

Yes i have such a great memory when it comes to beautiful times with people i love the most. New owners new restaurants new menu. I did relive my memeries But overall the food is good And the service is excellent Nicolette our waitress was such a lovely wonderful young lady who made our dining experience really delightful and we will definitely return. Thank you so much to our waitress.i always have emphasized how important it is to have. Good front house staff and this place has is. Our waitress made us felt so welcomed and very attentive. I really was happy. You can have great food but without a great staff you dont have nothing. This staff is great. I know my stuff ive been a head chef for over 30 years and a restaurant consultant and i recommend this place i think they deserve it.but the crab seem to have a old frozen taste something was off but it was ok. and the cake come on that pre-boxed frozen chocolate cake. I dont like to be taken by no-one. But i did have a nice time thank you

Lobster Lounge is a bi-level seafood restaurant with the top level overlooking the water. We ordered oysters, coconut shrimp, and a giant pretzel to start and I ordered a cold lobster roll. They have high chairs for children and stickers were given to the kids at my table. Would recommend if you're visiting the Jersey Shore!

We ordered the crab cake sliders , the lobster roll , and the shrimp cocktail . I also got a Heineken 0.0. Overall the meal was really good. We loved the bar atmosphere and being able to watch baseball while we ate. I enjoyed that there were also arcade games and things to do. My only reason for giving it 4 stars and not 5 was because of the lobster roll. The lobster meat itself was a little tough and the roll was a little soggy and not toasted up like we hoped for. But it was still okay. The sliders were delicious! And the shrimp were also pretty tasty. Service was phenomenal and we were seated right away. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop back in!

The hostess sat us in the bar area, which was fine, but seemed an odd choice. Our waitress came over for a drink order before I had even picked up the menu. My wife quickly ordered the Ginger Minty Paloma and I had an Old Fashioned. Wifey's drink was amazing and tasted like 14 more. Mine was just ok, but when you drink them fairly regularly there's not much you can do to make them 'different.' We decided to just split our food. We ordered a Wedge Salad - they put a balsamic glaze on it and it was REALLY GOOD. This came very quickly. We split The Rocco Pizza - vodka sauce, cheese and pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. The taste was fine, but neither of us liked the crust and wasn't hot enough. Didn't seem like your normal 'brick oven pizza.' We also split a 'small plate' of linguini and clams. This was just ok as well. The fresh clams were great, but the others were pretty chewy. The whole plate also needed salt. Service was pleasant and fairly quick, but the food was overall just ok. The place itself looked like it would be pretty fun if I was in my 20s. There was a band setting up and I bet the place gets pretty loud.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Not my cup of tea for hanging out but I'd go back for dinner.

Our waitress was extremely attentive. I got the eggplant sandwich with fries which I almost forgot about (I don't know how). Their fries are crisp and incredible. My mom got the meatloaf and instead of mashed potatoes got fries. Instead of broccoli, she got green beans. The portions were huge and she was very happy with the substitutions. We also got dessert which we regret not sharing because their portions were huge. She got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I got the apple crisp. The apple crisp was stacked. Both were good!
