We were staying with friends in Ortley NJ while a big Nor Easter was blowing through. Being cooped up all day we wanted to get out and go to dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find Klee's Bar and Grill open. We were seated and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She brought our drinks and took our food order. I ordered a Ruben sandwich with fries and a cup of chili. While we waited there was live music being played by a one man band from behind the bar. He was entertaining playing classic rock and not to loud that you couldn't talk. Our food came quickly and was very delicious. My sandwich was served open faced and piled with meat. The fires were hot and fresh. I was also impressed with the hostess who was cleaning tables. She really wiped them down good with disinfectant spray and then wiped the chairs as well. There is nothing bad I can say about this place and would highly recommend it. read more

The service here is exceptional. I have never had a bad experience or a bad meal here. The time before last, I came with my cousin and we sat at the bar which is extremely large and comfortable. Our bartender was excellent and after hearing I was vegetarian, she recommended the eggplant sandwich. The eggplant is thin and perfectly crisp. I low key wish this was an eggplant parm or dressed with some type of sauce, but it's delicious on its own. Last night we went Klee's and the food was good but the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely attentive. I got the eggplant sandwich with fries which I almost forgot about (I don't know how). Their fries are crisp and incredible. My mom got the meatloaf and instead of mashed potatoes got fries. Instead of broccoli, she got green beans. The portions were huge and she was very happy with the substitutions. We also got dessert which we regret not sharing because their portions were huge. She got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I got the apple crisp. The apple crisp was stacked. Both were good! Next time we will definitely split dessert because we were stuffed. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Oh if you are in the mood for lighter food, their nutty pear salad is so refreshing and yummy! I will definitely be back! read more

Great People and Value Managed to find Klee's on our first visit to Seaside. Had a really nice lunch. Good drinks and good food. Our bartender Kevin was a gem! He made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some tips for our planned walking tour (aka pub crawl) after lunch. We were so happy with the service, food, drinks we went back at night for dinner. Hands down this is the best bar/restaurant in Seaside. We had the crab cakes, philly cheesesteak, fish sandwich and bar pies. Everything was great! If we are back in Seaside this summer and will definitely be back at Klee's. Thanks read more

Klee's is one of our favorite places to go when we are in Seaside every year. Friendly service, good food and creative drinks. This time we played Trivia, which was fun. read more

Good pizza and an inexpensive option down the shore. Only giving 4 stars because of the ambiance, but it's what you'd expect for a bar.

Our family loves going to Klees--it's a spot with consistently great good, service and vibes. We were a party of 9 and when we arrived on a Sunday at 4:30, it was packed and busy. They told us it would be a while but we were seated within 15 minutes. Our servers were great and everyone enjoyed their meals--cheesesteak, fish and chips, chicken with eggplant, steak sandwich and various appetizers. read more

I just love Klees. Food is consistent. Awesome bloody Marys (deluxe). Service is friendly. I go here year round. Havent had one bad meal. read more

Always good here. Beer is cold, we sat at the bar and our bartender (Kyle, I'm horrible with names) was the best, not just down here but anywhere in a while. Full bar and he was working the service bar too, but was attentive, engaging, even explained some soccer rules to us. Klees is always good, live music was ok, not overpowering. If you come down to seaside, this is a good spot for dinner, they do get busy so be patient. We had spinach/artichoke dip, chicken salad but wrap and a corned beef sandwich, the beef was very lean (bonus). And the potato salad was a nice option over fries. read more

Inside needs some updating. The chairs were from 1970. There was live music but it was not very good. Actually to be honest - it was awful. The food was very good. Big portions! Fast service. We enjoyed. read more

Went in with a friend around 1 pm for takeout. We were told that if they weren't busy, we couldn't get takeout. It made no sense. We did stay and got lunch but the only thing I remember was the French onion soup. It was really good. Perhaps their website shouldn't list takeout as an option if it's not really an option read more

We frequent Klees at least once a week, sometimes more. I would recommend them in a second but.....(always a but right?) This last weekend we ordered two of their famous $10.00 Bloody Marys and boy, were we disappointed... The shrimp was warm and tasted fishy, the pepperoni was dry and one of the bacons was limp the spice salt on the rim was hardly there and the drink itself was watery.....we have had much better in the past but, I will not order them again. read more

We always get to Klees at least once when we are in town. It is easy, relatively cheap, and the beer is cold. The kids always get a pizza, whereas I am a pure burger guy, and Klees delivers both. read more

My review was based of a group decision on this one. Meal 1. The grilled chicken salad lacked over lacked flavor and the ribs over cooked. Meal 2 crab cake sandwich was bland and lacked flavor. Meal 3. Buffalo chicken wrap wasn't bad would prefer with ranch over caesar dressing. Meal 4 was tradition wild wings got the hottest flavor which is very tolerable. Service is good and the vibes aren't bad either read more

Amazing food. I found this place on the last day of my stay, but will definitely come back next time. I had the Reuben, which was delicious. My daughter got the penne ala vodka and ate every last bite. She was literally spooning up the extra sauce at the end. Excellent menu, as they have something for anyone. read more

The food is very consistent. I actually had pizza with four toppings. Our friends had a pizza with four toppings. They had a onion soup and a bowl of chili all very very good. The servers are great. We've been here a number of times over the years. Food is always consistent. We ordered seafood apps and entrees. No complaints with the food. We were seated almost immediately, party of two, on a busy Thursday night. It took the waitress nearly 20 minutes to acknowledge us. She took our drink order and then didn't return for another 15 minutes for our food order. It was another server who brought us our food 15 minutes later. Or server barely passed us to check another 15 minutes past. Sadly to say, as we're normally generous tippers, tonight we left only 10 percent. I surmise we couldn't compete with the party of 10 she was serving. read more

Ordered cheese steak sandwich, mentioned to server oll try this ,it's has to be better than what's on the boardwalk. I get the sandwich and there's really a little amount of steak. The cheese on top was hiding everything. Goggle says military discount. I ask server ,she replied only active. I said check your site tell manager...no response...here's the check! Grandson had fish n chips small portion of chips. Also had root beer soda in a can ,didn't know theirs No refill. Server should of gave notice that there's no refill. $2.50 for a can.....yes I should of asked about refill but I didn't no he ordered that soda. Daughter hade open steak sandwich was tough.. Stopped in on a Sunday, haven't been in a while. Was wanting their crab melt away app, sadly it's no longer available. Disappointed as it was good. I love this place. Can't wait to come back. Great neighborhood bar and grill. We came 2 times first just me and my husband mostly because I wanted to make sure it was suitable for kids, it 100% is. They even have a kids menu. 2nd time we came with kids and it got 2 thumbs up from them. We have had chicken parm, sliced steak sandwich, pizza, and a special that included Marsala sauce. All of it was really great. The lady next to me was having a burger that looked delicious and she was saying how much she liked it to the waitress. The drinks came out tasty and quickly. The waitress's, hosts, bartenders were all smiles and welcoming. See ya soon Klee!!! read more

Was an amazing time. Food was fresh and service was friendly attentive! Location is great to go to all the time!

They suck you in with good prices at happy hour on their website and then you got there and they tell you no that's not valid. The ribs tasted like cheap bottled sauce was put on them and the chili was like soup instead of chili. Never going back read more

This place is an absolute Jersey shore must visit. I'm originally from Jersey and took my husband here in June. We tried so many dishes, wines, and beers and everything was delicious. A coworker brought pizzas from Klee's to my home yesterday. One sausage, one mushroom, one garlic and one plain. Unfortunately it was super cold out and we ate outside to maintain social distancing. Despite the pizza temp it was good. Tasty with a nice thin crust. Later in the evening I heated the leftovers in the oven and the two slices I had were really good. They don't use sliced Italian sausage, they crumble it. It was tasty with a nice thin crust as was the slice of mushroom I had. After reviewing Klee's Yelp page, I'm looking fwd to dining in at Klee's. They seem to be known for some favorites of mine, pizza, fish tacos and crab cakes... I'll be sure to update my review after I dine-in. read more
