Have been here for pre-dinner cocktails and apps. Cute ambiance. It's primarily a wine bar and they have some cocktails as well. Not a full bar since it is predominately a wine bar. They have a decent happy hour and some light fare. We've had the cheese plate and olives and enjoyed it.

I stopped by for a drink while I was in the area. The space is super cute! I ordered a Paloma and it was just okay. I really enjoyed the ambiance but I decided to get another drink elsewhere since the first was subpar for the price.

This place is just absolutely not it. Homesick is really good so I can't understand why it's so bad. They claim they are a wine bar but literally had ONE bottle of Cabernet from California that was $30 for a SINGLE GLASS. I said absolutely not. I looked up the bottle of wine and it was a $30 BOTTLE. That's a scam in and of itself. Secondly, If you want to try the wine they use a Corvin as their sampling so they don't waste it for customers. I get that, but come on that's ridiculous & as someone who drinks a lot of wine... just give me a real tasting & not use the needle machine for a wine poor. Lastly, they only have like 5 cocktails on the menu. We asked for a basic drink, a Paloma and it was probably the worst drink I've ever had. It was clear? A Paloma is made with grapefruit juice and instead they used fever tree grapefruit. This place needs to try again because it's cute inside but it's absolutely just not it. Don't waste your time or your money.

Asbury Park has many bar and restaurants to tried. So I finally made my way to Lovesick just for a quick drink. I had the New York Sour which was not my fave at all. My partner on the other hand had the Paloma which was delicious. The atmosphere was chilled and cozy. When we arrive the bartender was welcoming and nice. On Saturday night they had a Dj which was nice not my type of music but it might be for others. Overall it was a good.

Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Open and airy with a classy vibe and a Sunday brunch with great music. A slam dunk I'd say!

They advertise "Late Night Ramen" on the sidewalk, so my bf and I have been excited to check this place out for weeks now! Come to find out it was false advertising: We came at 10PM on a Saturday (note that the outdoor signage literally writes "Late Night Ramen 10 pm W-Sa"), got seated & placed our orders. Moments later, an employee tells us the kitchen is CLOSED. This wasn't until after we sat down, received the menus, and ordered food and drinks! I just wish they informed us of the kitchen closing before I sat, since I specifically came to enjoy late night bites as advertised right outside the entrance. The bartender already started on our drinks at that point, so we didn't want to back out; figured why not give their cocktails a try. We got 2 bees knees. It was too over powering. Didn't taste anything like a Bees Knees.... As a person who doesn't expect much at all when it comes to service, the vibe we got from the employees was just strangely uninviting. That's all I'll say about that department... My boyfriend and I felt disappointed. Lovesick has a sick ambience and trendy interior (what I give the two stars for), but it just didn't live up to anything great based on our Saturday night experience.

I host a book club and we had our meeting there tonight and it was absolutely amazing! Perfect ambiance, cozy spot for us to hangout and chat about our book, and the service was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was so attentive to us making sure we were all good, and was very friendly and personable as well. Andrew the manager is also very friendly and made us feel so welcomed. The wine selection is truly incredible and both the Pinot Gris and Rosé I had were delicious. The charcuterie board we had to snack on was also delicious! 10/10 perfect spot for hosting a small get together or to just stop in and enjoy some good wine. Thank you lovesick, we will definitely be back!!!!

Great place, very cool, awful service. The guy with red apron was completely indifferent and made us wait for 30 minutes for a refill of our drinks. They had our credit card so we couldn't leave either. He wouldn't even look at anyone's at our end of the bar. It was unbelievable. . I would like to recommend it but...

The Matcha Matcha Man was smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to drink -- the matcha coconut cream with the ginger beer gave it such a unique refreshing kick. The Lady Marmalade tasted like sunshine in a glass with the perfect citrusy balance and just enough sweetness from the marmalade. The food menu is definitely more small plates/appetizer style, but honestly everything tasted super fresh and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp were jumbo and crispy with the perfect sweetness, the mango habanero chicken bites super fresh, and the wagyu sliders disappeared embarrassingly fast. The real star though? The outdoor lounge setup overlooking the ocean. It's the kind of place where you go for "one drink" and suddenly it's three hours later and you're debating ordering another round just to stay for sunset. It's walk in only but wasn't too packed ...we went around 5pm but seems to have a packed late night vibe and crowd as well during summer !

We got a few different kinds of drinks some including margarita's and one was a kiwi flavor drink. I think it was awesome that they gave us the option for different kind of salted rims. They're mostly known for their shared plate concepts so we got several items and split everything. We got the tostadas which was an interesting plate of a couple different things, the nachos which I loved, the ceviche which was ok-not your typical ceviche and bit too spicy for me, the salad which I really liked, camerones which the table liked, the pork tacos which I heard were very spicy, the chicken tacos which were good and the steak which was hands down my favorite and the yuca mash was so yummy and different. For the steak, you can only get it medium rare or well done which I is 2 complete ends of the spectrum. We are medium people, so we ended up getting a medium rare. It was definitely a lot of food, but it's a good amount for all of us and it was a nice way to try the menu. I definitely will be back.

Walked around & landed on this place. Such a swanky cool kind of new age hipster but also vintage vibe? Lol No idea! But I sure was digging it! The bartender was super sweet in helping me make a decision for dinner, because I wanted to try it ALL. I folded on the Lemony Shrimp & Bean stew (absolutely spectacular and this is coming from someone that doesn't like being or vegetable type soups) the leeks were so yummy but the shrimp was the star, just look at how huge they were. Sliced Flat Iron - SO JUICY. Such flavor! Literally haven't had any steak til this day that could replicate that flavor of the scallion chimichurri and celery root purée. It has been over a year now since I've been here, and I still CRAVE, I'm talking I have full on dreams about having this place again. Can confirm, I AM Homesick.

I loved my bucatini cooked with zucchini and garlic. The cherry on top were the zucchini flowers. This added a nice crunch. Our cocktails were refreshing. My summertime cocktail had cucumber and St. Germain. It was refreshing! Next door to Homesick is Lovesick, an adorable cocktail bar. When down the shore, this is definitely a must try!

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.

Our server, Michael, provided by far the worst service we've ever received. He appeared to be under the influence of something, as he spent long periods simply standing around making odd faces while our table and several others waited and waited for him to acknowledge us. We were left wondering if anyone was going to take care of us. When my husband politely asked about our meal, Michael became rude instead of apologetic or helpful. The food itself had good flavor, but it arrived cold, like it was not served right away, which was disappointing. To end the meal, we ordered a cappuccino, but it was so poorly made that it tasted like nothing but warm milk. It was completely undrinkable. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've always loved Moonstruck. It's been one of my favorite restaurants because of its excellent food and outstanding service. If this is the level of service the new owners are willing to accept, I worry about the restaurant's future. I truly hope management addresses these issues because Moonstruck has always been top notch!

Now for the humans -- we ordered the sweet chili wings and a side of the sweet potato fries. The wings also come with a side of carrots and celery along with a choice of ranch or bleu cheese. I loved the sweet chili sauce and kept redipping into it. I wish the order came with more celery and carrots. The food and beers/cider came out rather quickly. The server came by every so often to check up on us and brought napkins without us having to ask! The dessert was amazing; the combination of the ice cream and the ooey gooey-ness of the cookie was the perfect end to our beach day. We barely left any whip cream. Since we went during LDW, the vibe inside was almost opposite what it was outside. But that may carry over during other times. Only downside of this visit was the wait time to be seated...and it was not because there weren't seats available. It was a bit strange standing around while the host wasn't really doing anything :/ But everything else was great!

Unfortunately, this appetizer also came out with the main meals. I really dislike when places do that. For our entrees, my husband ordered the 'Bang Bang Salmon' which he loved and thought it was delicious but not worth the $26 price tag. My friend ordered the 'Grilled Skirt Steak' which she seemed to enjoy although it was a small portion. I ordered the 'Grilled Shrimp and Pineapple Skewers' which I did like but the skewers were quite small and it was mostly white rice. Our bill came out to $164 which I really think is WAY too high for these meals or drinks. Our server was nice; but she was rarely there. The busser, however, she was on top of her game and super friendly! It might seem funny to mention the busser, but she was really great. I would not come back and honestly, I think there's other options that are better. If I did recommend it to someone, it would be for the drinks as they had buckets and seemed very popular and 2 out of 3 of my party enjoyed them.
