Only complaint they forgot to make our food after we had booked this place months in advance , they made a turn around and got the food out right away ! Will for sure return read more

The Wine Loft - Wine Bars Near Me - Long Branch, New Jersey

Based on happy hour only. Last summer I had walked by while a band was playing outside and thought I have to come back and check this young band out. Well took me a good year but finally got there. A hot Wednesday night. The band was setup inside due to impending storm. The place was not busy, not sure why. Maybe early? Anyway sat at the bar. Maybe there were 3 other folks there, a group of 4 or 5 sat at small tables by the band with their cute dog, great to see a dog friendly place like this (inside and outside). They have a great happy hour menu. Very good options. The band was very enjoyable (Duke Hill). Will definitely be back for more happy hours. read more

So even though I like this place alot ,the vibe was just off a little. We went on a Friday during happy hour and it was really slow. It was just us 3 there and maybe another guy. The drinks were great but the bartender was being held to one side of the bar due to a conversation with the other guy. I'm not mad cause it sound like the conversation was important but he could have shown a little more intrest in us . We didn't try any food or anything so I can't speak on that. I'd love to comeback cause it does seem like a chill place by the water. Nice comfortable seating for groups,oh yeah great prices at happy hour read more

I hate writing bad reviews HOWEVER this experience here was absolutely terrible and needs to be shared with others. Long story short... we experience quite a bit of discrimination during our short visit here. First, we walked in and was there was a group of 4 people just hanging out at the end of the bar... one of the other customers actually said hi to us as we sat down but nothing from any of the employees. Finally, after a good almost 10 minutes of us looking at the menu (which was already located on the bar) an employee walks up to us (white male with a pink Mohawk) don't know his name because he never introduced himself. Asked us if we knew what we wanted, we had quite a few questions... is there flights? Are we able to taste wines before buying a glass or bottle? He answered annoyingly at each of our questions, even walking away as we were still speaking. Gave us 2 wines to try & then told us he forgot to check our ids, made comments that he hopes we're over 21.. and I said you are more than welcomed to check our ids now.. he stated "it's too late, but I hope you aren't kids" umm excuseeeee me?! We both are in our thirties & that's just straight disrespectful. If we hadn't ordered food (which we wished we hadn't) we would have left then. The company he had at the bar (the group of 4 people) were extremely loud, having phone calls on speaker, they left & brought a dog in which the woman was literally running around with the dog. We love dogs however... there is a time & place for it. In addition, to the loud music they had playing that kept skipping. It definitely did not give the vibe of a "wine bar", it's such a shame because the decor gives you those feels but the environment and employees do not. However... an older white couple came in... they were greeted by multiple employees, given suggestions with wine options, tastes of not only different wines but liquors they asked about and checked on. A completely different experience than what we had... So... was it because the color of our skin? The fact we were lesbians? Or the fact that we looked "young"? Either way the discrimination here was apparent and after looking at other reviews this seems to be a common occurrence here. read more

The Wine Loft - $15 "Margarita pizza" & nasty bucket of fries - Wine Bars Near Me - Long Branch, New Jersey

Definitely not what was expected from a wine room! Ambience was terrible loud, crowd behaved like in a sports bar, the service was inexistente(only one person working for the whole place). Not the experience we want when visiting a wine room, we just walk away and will never go back read more

Found this gem with nice wine options and a plus is the food, which is a nice compliment to the drinks. We made it a few minutes before 6pm so could order off of the happy hour menu! The bartender was great and offered suggestions. The other patrons appeared to be locals but I understand summer is crazy, busy. The food came out fresh and was very tasty. My friend and I lingered a long time but no one seemed to mind. I'll be back again before Memorial Day! read more

Came here to enjoy a nice lunch while on vacation. Got two drinks, very average/ below average. Ordered the tuna poke tacos and a Caesar salad with steak. The tuna tacos were so small and only had three to four small cubes per taco. They were good, but for $18 a total rip off. The Caesar salad was fine, but the steak on top looked like it had already been chewed and spit out. It was fatty and unappealing. The total bill was $75. A total waste for bad food. Extremely disappointing. read more

Chill, low key spot for drinks in Pier Village. They've got wine and lots of it! But you could have guessed that from the name. They also have beer, a great liquor selection, and light fare. I say light but we did order fries with gouda and pulled pork. Definitely recommend for a date night. read more

Omg !!!! If you are ever in Long Branch you MUST go to this place , the service there is simply great and the atmosphere is so positive . Not to mention the amazing food , pretty much everything is that menu is great but my favorites are the boneless teriyaki wings , the sausage , peppers and onions pizza and off course the edamame with extra salt . Let me not forget to tell you that they have the BEST FROZEN MAITAI's . Just the perfect spot to be after a beach day or simple for a day/night on the town. He wet also have live entertainment. The Wine Loft is a must !!! read more

The food was delicious, service was good. It was a nice layout. We were in the balcony. Great time.

It was great on a Wednesday night during off season. The bartender was attentive & personable. There was live music. I'd love to go back with someone who actually enjoys the atmosphere and not on an slightly awkward second date lol read more

*PREJUDICE* *WOULD NOT RECOMMEND* where do I even begin... my wife and I walked in to this beautiful wine loft to only feel like my wife and I were not welcomed, and let's be very transparent we're black females. We were not greeted by anyone but, gazed at like we were aliens. I have experienced this before unfortunately... but I could not fathom how other customers (white) who walked in were treated. I will never step foot in this place ever again and pissed we wasted our time and money. I am from New Jersey and this was a bit unexpected. My wife and I were very uncomfortable. To believe we even serve a country who judges other humans based on the color of someone's skin is absolutely disheartening and ridiculous. I do not recommend this place to anyone it is more like a bar not a wine lounge, and highly recommend the owners of this establishment to train their employees and do a better screening. Unless, a prejudice establishment is what you are aiming for and judging by previous reviews this seems to be the case. read more

Solid wine list, though you really want to go to the by the bottle list. The atmosphere seems pretty nice inside, and was good outside where we sat. Not the greatest setting for kids, though they do have enough in the way of options that kids will not go hungry. Adult choices are more geared towards wine pairings or appetizers than a full on meal for the most part, but the taste, spices and flavor profile was amazing on what we had. The Bruschetta in the trio and the chorizo and potato empanada were especially good as was the Brie (though it could use some fig jam to better balance). Worth a try if you're in the area, but not something I'd go out of my way to seek out. read more

The Wine Loft is a nicely decorated space with a very well done interior and exterior, with only perhaps the lighting being a bit too bright and the television being a bit out of place. In what's emulating a more sophisticated space, I would think a TV would be a little off-putting, especially when playing an action movie on TNT... As for the wines: being the beverage Director of a Michelin rated restaurant in NYC, I think I know some things. There's a good chance I don't, but my 7 years in the restaurant business, a WSET III award in wines, and my certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers would tell me that the wine my girlfriend ordered was at least 3 days old. Flat, acidic, and unpleasant, it was definitely NOT a fresh glass of Etna Rosso. The wine list is surprisingly stale, with a lot of uninteresting domestic options and no particularly interesting varietals. I hate the glassware. Far too thick and most wine bars opt for glassware that does not have a logo, as it can be considered a bit tacky. Sure they help the servers with pouring a proper 5oz, but that's something they should already be doing. Servers were very nice. Did not try any food. read more

Average is the word that comes to mind. The spot had reasonably nice decor but the wine list was nothing to write home about; a shame considering it is a wine bar. The wine I ordered was clearly old. It had been sitting out for a few days at least and had a stale taste to it. My boyfriend got a glass that was alright but again nothing great. Average decor, average prices for the area, and below average wine. I don't think I'll be coming back. I will say though, the servers were kind. read more

Would go zero stars if I could. Worst place in Pier Village. Not a good restaurant nor a good bar. Bad food and very rough clientele. Obnoxious after hours crowd that gravitates here when quality places close. Loud people fighting, yelling, blowing horns until 2am. Staff over serves and does nothing to discourage it. Police are there all the time. read more

This place has new owners who have changed the name (Lana) and raised prices. But it is still the same dive bar with terrible food open til 2am every night attracting drinkers, and smokers. It is the lowest crowd possible. Police are called regularly because of fights and drunk people shouting in the parking lot. Many great restaurants and bars in Pier Village and the surrounding area, this place is by far the worst place you could choose. read more

LONG BRANCH: a cool spot in Pier Village, The Wine Loft Pier Village features an interesting wine selection as well as cocktails and small plates! Every night is happy hour (4-8 PM) and includes 1/2 price glasses of most wines as well as other drink specials! You can't beat it! The waitstaff is awesome and has a great knowledge of the wines. There are plenty of outdoor tables where dogs are allowed and you can people and dog watch those walking by. Brie said hi to everyone (of course)! read more

Came here during restaurant week with some of my girl friends. We were looking for a fun night out with yummy food and tasty wine and that's exactly what we got at The Wine Loft. They offered discounted prices for happy hour (check with the restaurant for specific hours bc I cannot remember). As it gets later in the evening, they offer music and a lounge type of vibe. The seating resembles that of a lounge as well (couches and low tables) and not so much your typical restaurant. I would also say the crowd is a little bit older for the most part. read more

The Wine Loft - Wine and food with the girls - Wine Bars Near Me - Long Branch, New Jersey

This was one of our stops during the recent Yelp Winter Staycation weekend and it was a perfect spot to pre-game before the big party that evening. They had a special menu set up for us with happy hour deals on wines and food. Overall, we enjoyed the great atmosphere, nifty service, fun bartenders, tasty bar foods, and terrific wine selection. We got there right at the start of the happy hour, 4pm, and grabbed a few seats at the bar alongside a few other Yelpers who also showed up early. Good thing we did, and planted ourselves there for the almost two hours, as by 5pm the place was packed with people from our group. I think the staff here was a bit overwhelmed and was not expecting this many people, but they worked hard and did the best they could. We never left the bar area and were treated really good. They gave a nice pour on the wines. Was supposed to be samplings but seemed more like half to full glasses. The bartenders knew their stuff and offered some perfect suggestions. Also ordered some of the bar foods such as one of their pizzas, and sliders which were both pretty solid. Plenty of seating around the bar, a lounge area up front, and an upstairs loft room with tables. Very comfortable and cozy wine bar decor. Not really beachy considering where they are located, but sexy and inviting in a non-pretentious way. read more

This is a great wine bar. I got here right at 4pm when they open and they made me feel very welcomed even if we were the only ones there and they were still setting up. I got to try a few reds as a recommendation of one of the bartenders and everyone was delicious. I really enjoyed that their wine pours were very generous and they have 1/2 all glass wines during happy hour and food specials. I got to try the spinach and artichoke dip and it was okay, I will stick to the wine. Before we left Tango (one of the bartenders) even did a great magic trick for us with some cherries and an orange. read more

I wish I had a duplicate of this place near me! It is such a sexy looking place, as soon as you walk in, with gilded ceilings and romantically drapped curtains. There are some private corners for secret love affairs and a very social second floor full of comfy couches and a great view. They also had great music playing, giving this place a fun ambiance, not stuffy like most wine places. We came to check out their wine tasting as part of the Yelp July in January event and were treated to our first round on the house. Sadly they were out of some bubbly, but I got a sweet moscato wine that was great. The wine list was extensive and would satisfy any wine drinker, with wines ranging from very affordable to sugar daddy prices. In addition to wines, they boast a full bar with a fun martini and cocktail list for happy hour at $5 - $7 a glass. I was even more grateful that their happy hour was 7 days a week and until 8 pm! So the hubby and I ordered some food as well. I got a bar pie with pepperoni and bacon and guoda sliders. The pizza was bar far my favorite, a thin crust and great sauce; also a decent size for sharing at only $6. The sliders were pretty overcooked, but had a good BBQ sauce and also only $6. Sadly, it seems like they were not prepared for the influx of people for the weekend because there was only one poor waitress running around not only serving but cleaning tables, and picking up cups everywhere. Our orders took really long to get to us and we left thirsty because the poor server was so swamped. She was very nice and because I like this place so much, I would definetely return. read more

This place is terrible. Came here after an event. Staff was rude, uninviting, and confrontational. Will never go back.

Grab a seat at the bar. Bartender Steve did a terrific job. Makes you feel like you're a regular. Or you can sit on the patio and watch the people parade (think Miami beach). A good selection of wines by the glass and the bottle, and absolutely fantastic build your own thin crust pizzas. The kitchen was open until 1am on the weekend. We had a great time both nights right through closing! Wish this was in our nieghborhood!!! read more

A cool spot. Nice vibe great djs most of the time. But don't be fooled by the fancy decor. People will have all out brawls in this place.

Unattentive staff, slow service! I came here last weekend based on a recommendation and found the place to be completely empty inside and a few folks seated outside. Upon entering, we had to ask whether we seat ourselves or should we wait for someone. The two staff members at the bar area said we could sit anywhere we like, so we sat upstairs. We waited and waited and no one came upstairs to provide menus or place an order. Eventually we gave up and went downstairs and experienced the same problem downstairs even though there was literally no one inside that the staff was busy attending to. I got the attention of one of the employees and she finally provided menus and took down our order! Also their happy hour menu is not vegetarian friendly and neither is the rest of the menu. read more

I came here for a birthday party. There were over 40 people in the place. It's 82 degrees out and they had no air conditioning running, so we all had to go outside. Read the reviews and decided we HAD to give it a go for a nice laugh. As we walked in a couple walked out and said "good luck". The place was bumping music and had nightclub vibes. We ordered a drink from a really rude bartender who said "I can't hear anything you are saying" and then later told my boyfriend "are you going to open a tab already because I'm tired of closing you out?". The DJ and the people watching were well worth it, but I see why people have comments about service and overall experience. 3 stars because I would go back for some self inflicted misery at the bar / fun on the dance floor read more

Their wine is top of the line here--red and white. Everything is pretty dry and smooth. Love the atmosphere inside, swanky lounge interior. They have a live DJ at night playing a mix of 80s club and modern. Fun dancing atmosphere, but a bit of an older crowd. They also have a wide variety of small bites and outdoor seating. Great service. read more

I'm only giving 1 star because it won't allow me to give zero stars. When my friends and I first arrived, it felt like a good vibe. However, as the night progressed we began to realize that all of the bartenders AND manager were Clearly on some type of drugs. They took one of our credit cards at the bar and then began to say that they gave it back. Sure enough, afterthought manager literally accusing us of lying and "taking shit", they "found" the card. ADDITIONALLY, some other guy was trying to record us on his phone and coming into our seated area swirling his hand around and not making full sentences. We told the manager and she asked him to go back to the bar, but it was only minutes later he showed up again harassing us. It's a shame because this place can be a really cool spot if, but by having complete degenerates run the show, it will ultimately fail. read more

Walking in when it's still light out, the decor is a little bit disappointing. The chairs are worn and everything just looks a little meh. I love how every wine is half off during happy hour so you're able to try pretty much anything. We ordered both types of sliders and the trio of dips. I really liked the sliders, and the olive dip but the two other dips weren't anything special, I could have passed on those. Hopefully I'll be able to come again, as their happy hour is the best I've had recently! read more

The Wine Loft definitely offers the best happy hour by the beach. The atmosphere is elegant, relaxing, and a bit upscale. The lounge area has several leather couches and coffee tables. Typically when I go down the shore, particularly, Pier Village, finding a low-key hangout spot is difficult. The Wine Loft offers a great selection of wines as well as a full bar, and many small plates. They also have a great outdoor seating area right alongside the walkway of Pier Village. The service here is always up to par and I always leave happy. Like I said, their happy hour is a killer deal. They're the only establishment that I know of with a happy hour 7 days a week running from 4pm-8pm. Also, I must mention, their food here is pretty good! I really haven't had much from their menu, but the menu items that I did have were all great. For example, their bar pizza pies are $5 on happy hour and were fairly large and delicious. Also, I really enjoy their bacon and blue cheese sliders. All in all, The Wine Loft is an awesome place for a quick drink, bite, and/or happy hour. If you haven't tried this place yet, I suggest you do, especially if you're not sure where to go while down the shore. read more

I want to build on one star reviews to say: THIS place is the reason why we moved. THE WINE LOFT is the reason why we left our home in Pier Village. This is the trashiest, nastiest, loudest "sexy wine bar" I've ever encountered. Fights, cops being called, broken glass on the ground, cig butts all over the place, loud and annoying clientele all hours of the night, any day of the week. Just think, next time you want to go here, consider the fact that we left our beautiful apartment with an ocean view to get the heck away from this place, because it brought down any and all appeal that PV had read more
