$15 "Margarita pizza" & nasty bucket of fries

I hate writing bad reviews HOWEVER this experience here was absolutely terrible and needs to be shared with others. Long story short... we experience quite a bit of discrimination during our short visit here. First, we walked in and was there was a group of 4 people just hanging out at the end of the bar... one of the other customers actually said hi to us as we sat down but nothing from any of the employees. Finally, after a good almost 10 minutes of us looking at the menu (which was already located on the bar) an employee walks up to us (white male with a pink Mohawk) don't know his name because he never introduced himself. Asked us if we knew what we wanted, we had quite a few questions... is there flights? Are we able to taste wines before buying a glass or bottle? He answered annoyingly at each of our questions, even walking away as we were still speaking. Gave us 2 wines to try & then told us he forgot to check our ids, made comments that he hopes we're over 21.. and I said you are more than welcomed to check our ids now.. he stated "it's too late, but I hope you aren't kids" umm excuseeeee me?! We both are in our thirties & that's just straight disrespectful. If we hadn't ordered food (which we wished we hadn't) we would have left then. The company he had at the bar (the group of 4 people) were extremely loud, having phone calls on speaker, they left & brought a dog in which the woman was literally running around with the dog. We love dogs however... there is a time & place for it. In addition, to the loud music they had playing that kept skipping. It definitely did not give the vibe of a "wine bar", it's such a shame because the decor gives you those feels but the environment and employees do not. However... an older white couple came in... they were greeted by multiple employees, given suggestions with wine options, tastes of not only different wines but liquors they asked about and checked on. A completely different experience than what we had... So... was it because the color of our skin? The fact we were lesbians? Or the fact that we looked "young"? Either way the discrimination here was apparent and after looking at other reviews this seems to be a common occurrence here.

Found this gem with nice wine options and a plus is the food, which is a nice compliment to the drinks. We made it a few minutes before 6pm so could order off of the happy hour menu! The bartender was great and offered suggestions. The other patrons appeared to be locals but I understand summer is crazy, busy. The food came out fresh and was very tasty. My friend and I lingered a long time but no one seemed to mind. I'll be back again before Memorial Day!

Chill, low key spot for drinks in Pier Village. They've got wine and lots of it! But you could have guessed that from the name. They also have beer, a great liquor selection, and light fare. I say light but we did order fries with gouda and pulled pork. Definitely recommend for a date night.

LONG BRANCH: a cool spot in Pier Village, The Wine Loft Pier Village features an interesting wine selection as well as cocktails and small plates! Every night is happy hour (4-8 PM) and includes 1/2 price glasses of most wines as well as other drink specials! You can't beat it! The waitstaff is awesome and has a great knowledge of the wines. There are plenty of outdoor tables where dogs are allowed and you can people and dog watch those walking by. Brie said hi to everyone (of course)!

Came here during restaurant week with some of my girl friends. We were looking for a fun night out with yummy food and tasty wine and that's exactly what we got at The Wine Loft. They offered discounted prices for happy hour (check with the restaurant for specific hours bc I cannot remember). As it gets later in the evening, they offer music and a lounge type of vibe. The seating resembles that of a lounge as well (couches and low tables) and not so much your typical restaurant. I would also say the crowd is a little bit older for the most part.

This was one of our stops during the recent Yelp Winter Staycation weekend and it was a perfect spot to pre-game before the big party that evening. They had a special menu set up for us with happy hour deals on wines and food. Overall, we enjoyed the great atmosphere, nifty service, fun bartenders, tasty bar foods, and terrific wine selection. We got there right at the start of the happy hour, 4pm, and grabbed a few seats at the bar alongside a few other Yelpers who also showed up early. Good thing we did, and planted ourselves there for the almost two hours, as by 5pm the place was packed with people from our group. I think the staff here was a bit overwhelmed and was not expecting this many people, but they worked hard and did the best they could. We never left the bar area and were treated really good. They gave a nice pour on the wines. Was supposed to be samplings but seemed more like half to full glasses. The bartenders knew their stuff and offered some perfect suggestions. Also ordered some of the bar foods such as one of their pizzas, and sliders which were both pretty solid. Plenty of seating around the bar, a lounge area up front, and an upstairs loft room with tables. Very comfortable and cozy wine bar decor. Not really beachy considering where they are located, but sexy and inviting in a non-pretentious way.

The meatballs was very tender , well balanced with the tomato sauce that's not too acidic. The sauce was not heavy at all and I love the fresh basil. The chicken parm , which I don't normally order was recommended by the server and did not disappoint. It was tender, moist chicken cutlet with crispy, flavorful breading, balanced by a vibrant, not too salty or acidic marinara sauce and, melted mozzarella, served with rigatoni. Meatballs - tender, doesn't fully fall apart but light and almost melts in your mouth. Sauce is light but full of flavor 3. Eggplant parm - not spicy even though supposed to be spicy rigatoni with it. Huge portion. Took half home. Pasta was delicious with enough sauce and al denté as I like 4. Tiramisu - one of the better ones I've had. Not alcoholic. Moist and excellent balance of layers. Shaved chocolate on top is a nice touch 5. Chocolate torte - deliciously creamy and lighter than I thought. Full chocolate flavor. Comes with a fior di latte gelato which was high quality. Overall an excellent high quality Italian dinner. No wonder why it's hard to get weekend reservations. Highly recommended and will definitely be back when in Red Bank and craving Italian.

There is a parking lot across the street you can park at so no need to worry about street parking. The first thing I noticed was that this location was much smaller than the New Brunswick location and had a more chill vibe. I thought the happy hour menu had less selection as well. I was low-key disappointed there were no clams or oysters on the menu considering we are much closer to the shoreline. My husband loved his smashburger, it was very juicy. He also enjoyed the sweet potato fries which he normally doesn't like. My wings have the perfect amount of sauce where it didn't drown the wing and it was still a big crispy. We were in and out within the hour so service was fast on a Tuesday night. But I think we are going to stick with the New Brunswick branch.

It's certainly not ethical!) We were charged approx TWICE as much for the Website listed 'Special' tacos! They certainly were special-E'special'ly expensive! We asked to speak with the manager who indicated that she didn't even know that this 'Special' was still on their website. At that point (and in good faith), she should have offered us something as compensation! When told that they do not carry a common beverage-BLUE MOON, the waitress suggested giving me a similar beer and offered a 'taste test'. I could not tell if I liked the sample cause the shot glass had SO LITTLE beer in it-offering me NO TASTE at all. We also ordered chips, plantains, and salsa as an appetizer. For the cost of $14.00, I assumed it would contain enough chips for three people and might even be an unlimited supply. There were approx 15 chips on the plate and 6 plantains-which were tasteless. But think about it!? 15 taco chips for three people to the tune of $14.00?! They should be embarrassed! By 7:30, this restaurant was almost empty. We have been there several times over the years, but this place has deteriorated, in many ways, and we will no longer patronize this establishment!

We arrived and were seated quickly- our table was nice and in a comfortable location. Our server came over promptly and asked if we would like a drink. The room is dimly lit, which was fine for me- but tough for my father (who is in his 70's). They did not have chocolate milk but we were offered hot chocolate instead- which I thought was an odd alternative. It was a limited holiday menu, and each entree had a price next to it. For example- the penne vodka was $59.99, chicken parm was $69.99 and steak was $79.99. It was not explained to us that we also would choose an appetizer and some form of dessert would be provided at that price. I had to ask the server and she finally confirmed what I thought was the arrangement. I did expect higher prices due to the holiday, and would have no issue paying those prices if the food and service were both fantastic. We were brought a basket of bread with no butter and no oil. I had to flag someone down after 10 minutes for butter. We received our sub par appetizers quickly (mine was Mozzarella en Corozza- but it was a grilled cheese ... and not a good one- very bland). The appetizer choices were okay, but my husband's "Mozzarella di Buffao" was literally 3 slices of tomato and 3 small pieces of cheese. No exaggeration. We waited 30 minutes for our entrees after our appetizer plates were cleared. 30 minutes. AND they never brought my elderly father's Chicken Marsala. He waited while we all sat with our plates. I think his dinner came out 20 minutes later. We were never offered any courtesy (complementary side dish or ANYTHING) for his dinner never being delivered. We had to ask 3 times for it until the issue seemed urgent. We were never offered grated cheese or pepper for our entrees. I normally wouldn't complain about that, but when you are paying over $500 for dinner, these things matter. The wait staff was less than accommodating. The only people who seemed like they cared were the busboys. The steak was the only entree that was raved about. My chicken parmesan was not good. The chicken itself was over seasoned with rosemary. The sauce was completely flavorless... almost like they just dumped a can of plain sauce on top of the chicken and pasta. My son ordered penne vodka, which was also bland. It was a very small portion for such an expensive price. After being at dinner for over 2 hours, and ignored for most of that time, my 8 year old was getting antsy. My husband asked if it was possible to take our desserts (which were included in the outlandish price), to go. Our server suggested we ask the food runners to pack them up when they bring the food out, but then flippantly said "I'll just do it". We weren't asked what our choices for dessert were- they just threw little pieces of a few things in a to go container. We didn't even care at that point and wanted to just leave. We asked for the check- which took forever since nobody was glancing in our direction. I immediately put my credit card into the check folder and stood it up on the table so it would be easily seen. I waited. I sent my family outside to get into the car.... and still waited. Finally 10 minutes later, another staff member pointed out to our server that I was ready to pay. She came over to me and said "I will bring this to the hostess for you". Is this a diner? Was I expected to bring my check to the hostess stand? I was confused. She acted like I was an inconvenience. I just got up and walked to the hostess stand to sign the credit card slip. Gratuity was included. $82.00 of gratuity which was not at all deserved. I understand it was a holiday and things happen. I understand a lot of that is beyond the control of the server. Being ignored, spoken to like you are an inconvenience, not being offered pepper or grated cheese - are not. I worked in the service industry for many years and I found that most of our experience at this restaurant was unacceptable. I will not be back.
