We don't get to Mr Shrimp that often but when we do it's always a fine meal. This visit was more…read moreenjoyable then most as we caught them on a night they were not packed with people. They were barely half full and the noise was not extremely loud. I had the New England clam chowder and as usual it was a great start to the meal. Plenty of clams and potatos in a creamy white sauce. To start the meal they also provided bread sticks with sesame seeds which is a real nice alternative to dinner rolls. With the sticks they also providing a dipping sauce that really tasted great. This the only place I can remember having breadsticks during dinner and loved it. For dinner I had stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables. The fish was prepared real well and came with plenty of crabmeat and stuffing. Inside it was real moist and tasted great. Along with that was rice and mixed vegetables. In the restaraunt the vegetables were a bit harder then I would prefer but when I reheated the meal at home they were perfect. But if you you are an al dente vegetable they would be fine for you. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. With less people to deal with the service was right on point, with several returns to our table to make sure everything was well. I feel you will always have a great meal here. But at times there will be a wait to get a table and it will be a bit loud... But in my mind you will always walk out smiling

Be prepared for a wait during peak times, but their waitlist system lets you track your place in line, so getting there early is worth it. We started with the Fire Island Roll and Black Dragon Roll, and both were excellent. The standout entrée was the Hot Buttered Lobster Roll, packed with generous chunks of lobster and easily one of the best lobster rolls on the Shore. The Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp was another winner, with a generous portion and flavorful crab stuffing. The Whole Sea Bass special was slightly smaller than expected but still satisfying, while the Blackened Halibut was cooked well but could have used a sauce to bring the dish together. A special shoutout to the staff, who made the smart decision not to seat guests at umbrella-covered tables when storms were approaching. When the wind and thunder rolled in, everyone remained safely under covered areas. Great seafood, beautiful views, and thoughtful service make Klein's well worth a visit.

Tonight was especially spectacular for me, hence the essay review. The organization starting all the way from the ample parking, to the hostess system + the waiting areas made a 55 min wait absolutely seamless, even during a busy Sunday night rush. This visit was everything I could've asked for, and more. My party of 4 and I shared the following apps & entrees: -fried calamari -soaring scallops -fra diablo mussels -fish tacos -blackened red snapper w/waffle fries Everything was delicious, and the snapper stole the show. We downed our bites with some frozen margaritas, YUM! The steamed veggies w/ the snapper platter were particularly refreshing and perfectly cooked. The blackened seasoning was on point. The mussels are my father's all time favorite, therefore they have a special place in my book; they are a must order. Can't go wrong with a calamari app, but the soaring scallops were a bit underwhelming and would probably switch it for my usual spicy tuna roll next time. I have to take a moment for the most important aspect of our dinner. Our server Todd is the epitome of top tier service and dedication to customer satisfaction. Just based off the introduction, I knew we were in good hands. He made sure we were set up and coursed our meal in such a timely matter that every step of service was hit. He made it his business to touch the table every time food was dropped, which is a BIG green flag. If ever something was needed, we did not have to look far or wait for attention. These are the 101's of the service industry that seem to get lost in the sauce more often than not, and he managed to excel in every category I look for when I'm spending my money out. I hope his pillow is always cold at night. All things combined; the overall family oriented vibe, waterside sunset dining, friendly and efficient staff, great food and reasonably priced drinks, makes for the dream post beach dinner. I have been here a million times and I would come back a million more, and would 100% request Todd. Thanks guys !!!!

Three friends and a lovely day at the beach. We went for dinner before heading back up north and…read moredecided to try someplace we've never been. Plenty of spots in the parking lot and easy to pay for 2 hours on the app - signs don't say what time the "meters" go off, but with 2 restaurants sharing the lot, we figured you probably have to pay until at least 8 pm, and we were early (5:30 ish). Got seated quickly, in a booth near a wide opening out to the beautiful patio on the water. Rather warm in the restaurant and there were overhead fans that weren't rotating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. We'd have had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, and anyway it was a hot humid day and night so indoors suited us just fine. One friend had the lobster bisque, served with a good chunk of a bread that looked tasty (she's not a bread lover but she enjoyed it so it must have been delicious) and she really liked the soup. Then she added another appetizer, spicy garlic shrimp. Generous portion of 6 shrimp. My other friend had the crabcake & shrimp plate, which came with a side salad that our waitress was savvy enough to bring first when our other friend was enjoying her soup. Some crumbled feta on the side salads, a nice touch. When she ordered, my friend asked if the crabcake had a lot of breading and our server assured her that it doesn't; that turned out to be accurate! I also got that side salad with the Ahi tuna bowl I ordered. This was a bowl of dry, bland white rice (might have been jasmine rice but not strong flavor). On one side atop the rice was a good portion of seaweed salad, which I love. Piled sort-of artistically on the other side of the rice mound were several small slices (6? 7?) of perfectly "black and blue" tuna crusted with both black and white sesame seeds. The fish and salad were delicious but not terribly filling. I ate most of the rice. I noticed that there was a marinade at the bottom and began to mix the rice with the marinade that was tasty. They do add 2.5% for credit cards, but that's fair enough these days. Entrées are on the pricey side, I thought ($39. for the crab/shrimp dish, 32 for my tuna, 12 for the lobster bisque), but there aren't any bargains dining out these days. We had no complaints, other than my somewhat dry rice. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars but will err on the generous side. We'll probably return next year on our beach day!

We ordered the Margherita pizza. It was just okay, not bad but also just not delicious. Sauce was a little bland, like it was missing garlic or seasoning. The mussels were good however we had asked if they could be prepared without the chilies. We were told yes by our server (who was a dear really, she was great I don't really blame her for anything) that they could leave out the chilies. Well we ordered them and there was definitely chilies! My friend could not eat them at all. I like spicy and even my eyes were watering. I just question getting bread rolls served with the mussels when the usual service is sliced toasted bread. So, as I said, I think just temper your expectations. This place does have the beautiful view going for it.

We ordered the Lobster Roll - when it came out, my partner and I looked at each other with the same disbelief. It was literally half the size of the Lobster Roll we had before. In addition the lobster wasn't tender - it was chewy. And to 'top it off' it was over seasoned - we ordered the hot, buttered roll. The 'famed' lobster roll was no longer the same epic sandwich. Next, we reordered the Crab Cake. It was an amazing dish when we had it before. Again, it was half the size of the crab cake we had before. While it tasted good, it was a surprise it was much smaller. The saving grace, a Fried Cod sandwich we ordered was very good.

We were seated in the covered front deck area which was separated from the interior restaurant. It was an 80-85° day but the temperature in the space was relatively comfortable. We had grabbed a few bottles of white from the conveniently located liquor store across the street. I love me a good BYOB establishment. We started with the tuna pizza, an order of oysters, garlic shrimp, beet salad, and the Bibb salad. (Just a side note, they want you to place your starters and entrees at the same time). Everything came out in a reasonable time and was all very good. The Tuna pizza was not at all what I was envisioning but was a pleasant surprise both presentation and taste wise. The shrimp were interesting because they looked like they would be super flavorful, but just felt kind of flat. Both of the salads were delicious, I really enjoyed the Bibb and would highly recommend it. I had the Bluefin and it was really good, the portion size was fair and the fish was extremely fresh. It was far from the best bluefin I've had, but would recommend it nonetheless. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well and overall I would say we had a great time. It was a bit pricey, but it's Spring Lake so that was baked into the cake. Will visit again, and this time I'll remember to order the lobster roll.
