Lobster bake!
Quinn L.

Of course I came back to Shore Fresh during my visit down the Shore! The content of my first review still stands, however, I wanted to add a few things. 1) HIGHLY recommend the clams oregano and/or the fried calamari (with buffalo sauce!) for appetizers. 2) Shore Fresh offers a huge selection of soft drinks, ranging from Coke products to flavored teas and Stewart's sodas. There are also many sugar-free and dietary-friendly alternatives of popular drinks! 3) Service was amazing--very efficient, and all the waiters we encountered were friendly and hardworking. That's it!

lobster bisque
Francesca I.

fresh seafood, laid-back vibes, and incredible service at shore fresh everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. the lobster bisque was rich, velvety, and packed with deep seafood flavor -- one of the best i've had. the blackened fish was perfectly seasoned, paired with wild rice and cole slaw for a satisfying, well-balanced plate. the whole lobster was a showstopper -- sweet, tender meat that pulled right out of the shell, served with drawn butter and a crisp side salad. and the steamed clams were absolutely delicious, especially with the lemon and dipping sauces. the atmosphere was relaxed and coastal -- picnic-style tables, dockside breeze, and the kind of casual charm that just makes everything taste better. service was stellar -- friendly, quick, and helpful with recommendations. we never felt rushed, and everything came out hot and timely. shore fresh nailed the jersey shore seafood experience. already looking forward to our next visit.

Fried Flounder sandwich.

Ok... we're Local's. Such a shame but done with Shore Fresh. Picked up a Fried Flounder sandwich with fries & slaw. It is now $15.98 with tax. Small hamburger roll & 3 1/2 inch piece of flounder! Really? Not for $15.98 people. (Palm Sunday, April 10th, 2022.) Photo below No, I did not eat any first! Totally disgusted by my purchase. I should have driven back to show management.

Grilled salmon with a side of coleslaw and side of either pasta or fries.

4 stars for the grilled salmon. Salmon is an easy dish but yet it's constantly for the lack of better words "overlooked" in their cooking. This location has one of the best salmon that I've had so far. The grilled salmon to be specific. Grilled with the perfect char that you can smell and taste and the perfect crispy yet moist consistency. The best part is the salmon had the perfect amount of seasoning. I hope this stays consistent in the future. Will be back to get it again. There's ample parking with a couple of outdoor seating and a small indoor dining space(left side). Take out is located on the raw seafood side (right side)

Fish (cod) and chips
Allie A.

Popped in during a quiet, sunny winter weekend day to avoid crowds during THE PANDEMIC. Super nice server who was very friendly and helpful. Started with the New England chowder, which I enjoyed. Just wished the potatoes were a bit more cooked - they were not tender and could have been simmering for a bit longer, but overall a nice soup, served hot and fresh with a packet of oyster crackers. For $13, I tried the fish and chips and was pleasantly surprised to be given a choice on the type of fish. I went with the cod. The chips (french fries) were excellent, really tasty and fluffy. The fish was OK, a little bland. The combo came with a Ken's brand packet of tartar sauce and a small condiment cup of coleslaw.

Casual dining for good seafood. My group enjoyed calamari, lobster bisque, fish tacos and entree specials. Enjoyed it all.

My mom and I stumbled in while exploring the Jersey coast and left completely obsessed. We went all in on the menu: tuna salad (free starter for the table), clam chowder, a warm lobster roll, and two sushi rolls, the Wow Roll and the Out of Control Roll. The coconut shrimp in the Wow Roll was a standout moment. Light, crispy, and perfectly balanced. The warm lobster roll was generous and satisfying! Service was friendly and quick without feeling rushed. They have a connected indoor seating area and a covered outdoor space, the indoor space was packed. We started with chowder, one Manhattan and one New England- both fantastic. Two appetizers- the fried clam strips and the tuna tartare sushi - another win/win! For the entrees we took one from the specials, a blackened Mahi Mahi with lemon mashed potatoes and green beans which was sublime. For the other we tried a lobster taco that came with a choice of salad or hand cut fries. We went the fry route. They were great. Notes: it's a small place, they do not take reservations so you will wait for a table, however, they will text you when it's ready. They do sell wine or byob - your choice. They have a fish market and their own fishing boats and are proud to serve their own caught fish. This seems to be a local favorite in the Point Pleasant area. It will be crowded- it will be worth the wait. Come comfortable, it's laid back and it's all about enjoying really good seafood!

There is a to go area, bathroom, and then indoor seating area. They have merchandise behind the register. Started with the tuna nachos and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. Overall a decent meal.

The guy after us ordered the shrimp basket also. An hour and 15 minutes later, they were cleaning the kitchen we had asked about our order several times and we're told it was coming. We eventually just had to get a refund and left. There was a lot of staff there and nobody really was checking up and I understand that it's recently adding but it's Thursday night. I'm not sure what happened but the one girl that was behind the register tried to hand us one fried fisherman's platter instead of broiled that was not fried yet, it was breaded raw fish in a box, once I opened it I just asked for the refund cause they didn't have the other two items And the kitchen have been closed long time. It was well over an hour. I don't know what happened. There was so many people working there and they all saw us waiting, but not one person approached and said they would check on it that they've seen us waiting for a long time. So, I genuinely do not understand how the order was not put in. We did ask several times for an update and were told it was coming. Then they closed. I have left this place several five star reviews for a while now and I genuinely like it, but this was really inexcusable. Not only did they not make the food, but after they were closed, the one girl at the cashier tried to get us to leave with one meal instead of three and it was raw ! I'm so thankful that I opened the box at the register. I am not sure what to say and again we really love this place every other time but this was really shocking. So anyway, about 9 PM we wound up looking around for places that were still open so at least we could have something for dinner. We got to crab shack around seven and ordered by 720, go figure. I hope they're able to get the kinks out with their expansion because we still like them and would like to try it again

They were barely half full and the noise was not extremely loud. I had the New England clam chowder and as usual it was a great start to the meal. Plenty of clams and potatos in a creamy white sauce. To start the meal they also provided bread sticks with sesame seeds which is a real nice alternative to dinner rolls. With the sticks they also providing a dipping sauce that really tasted great. This the only place I can remember having breadsticks during dinner and loved it. For dinner I had stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables. The fish was prepared real well and came with plenty of crabmeat and stuffing. Inside it was real moist and tasted great. Along with that was rice and mixed vegetables. In the restaraunt the vegetables were a bit harder then I would prefer but when I reheated the meal at home they were perfect. But if you you are an al dente vegetable they would be fine for you. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. With less people to deal with the service was right on point, with several returns to our table to make sure everything was well. I feel you will always have a great meal here.
