Went for a small holiday meal (group of 8) just before Christmas and it was a little disappointing. We started with and Order of Tony's Calamari and it was a little sloppy and not to our taste (they overdid it with the goat cheese) - we probably should have specified that we wanted our rings to be crispy. We had some bread at the table and it was just so-so. Entrees consisted of the Twisted Shrimp Oreginata that was quite good. My wife chose the Papardelle Carbonara and the dsih came out cold. My family surprised me for my Birthday by taking me to dinner here- it is BYOB and we did not disappoint, my hubby even brought my favorite bottle of Chateau Montelena, I was very happy to see my Mini-Me, her Bestie (my bonus daughter and my son with his beautiful wife, also my bonus daughter- It was good to see Tony, Gio, Anthony and all the staff smiling and happy, helping me celebrate my milestone bday. Let me start by saying the sizzling garlic steak toast was delicious, I would have had two orders had I known how good it was. Tonys calamari is fantastic, we actually ordered two, since I stuffed my face with the first order and had was told I had to share-- the nerve! it was my birthday! the chopped antipasti salad was enough to chare with everyone and full of deliciousness. My main was the rigatoni Bolognese, fantastic! Mini-me and Bestie had the penne vodka, hubby had the chicken parmesan, son had to have the bone-in ribeye and he was said it was cooked perfectly , DIL had the spaghetti and meatballs, she enjoyed it tremendously. Let me start off this the good in F Street Social. The ambience was a perfect mix of a cozy, industrial styled atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely attentive to our entire group & was very kind. But patience is key here, although we had a large group we sat for over an hour waiting on our food. When the food did come out the waitress told us automatically to let her know if anything wasn't good which was an automatic red flag. The pizza was pretty top notch but everything else was truly disappointing. My salad was bland with barely any steak on it. I also ordered a side of truffle fries that were drenched in salt & garlic powder, literally nothing like the true things. If you come i'd suggest pizza only. read more

F Street Social hosted a 40th birthday celebration for me. 30 guests on a Sunday night in a private area of the restaurant. It was a wonderful night. Tony and made a party menu I wanted the guests to mingle. Small plates and a custom buffet with food the didn't get too messy and didn't need cutting. So everyone moved around sitting to eat as needed. It was social and the food was delicious. We brought birthday cake and had tea and coffee when a few guests asked. The space was perfect. We ventured into this new spot on Main Street in Belmar. The interior is bright and fun. Our service was great. We only had appetizers, however the menu is extensive with lots of choices, including brick oven pizzas. Fresh bread and dipping oil and spices was complimentary, which we devoured. The mussel appetizer was really good, but it was in a red sauce rather than the customary garlic butter, still good though. The chicken tenders were chicken tenders. In hindsight, we should have went with one of the pizzas, practically every table had one. It's a BYOB, which we did not realize. But, there is a liquor store down the street. read more

Ok overall this place is great. I really enjoyed the ambiance, food was pretty good! Service was great. The bread in the beginning with olive oil was definitely a 10 out of 10 amazing . We started with Buffalo calamari which was a great Buffalo sauce on top, calamari could've been cooked a little more, and they should add a side sauce (blue cheese or ranch) 7/10 with what I said easily could've been a 8/10. My meal was very good I had the chicken mozzarella sandwich with vodka sauce deff 8/10 would've like more mozz though was lacking that.. but cutlet was perfect and vodka sauce. This place is good, I think it's newer with minor tweaks could be amazing. The food is great. The price point is fair in the fact that it's BYOB in Belmar you can't beat it. read more

Beautiful day out in April, wanted some take out & a cocktail while I waited for my food. I looked this place up once or twice and always wanted to try it. The decor is very nice, love the restaurant layout. Sat at their bar, saw wine bottles on the wall, & remember reading they had homemade sangria. Greeted by a friendly server, looked over the menu, was told their BYO. Boo. Sangria sounded nice on a day like today. Menu prices were a little bit higher than I was looking for on a Monday evening. I got a 10 inch personal pizza instead, with two toppings a little under $20. Pizza was good, but not enough cheese and sauce for me. Super thin crust seems to be everywhere in Belmar, I love thin crust, but this is like cardboard box, paper, thin crust, and I just can't get behind it. So many choices that made your mouth water. My friend and I shared the French Dip Burger and the Hot Honey chicken sandwich. They were both disappointing. I wish I took a picture. The bun was small but yet it was bigger than the meat inside. The chicken was in small pieces so it fell out of the bread. The burger I thought would be juicy being it was French dip but it was dry and again very small. We also ordered 2 salads for the table. One was the arugula and the other was the F-Street with walnuts, blue cheese and cranraisins. They both looked exactly the same except one had about 5 walnuts in it. We went to F Street Social on a Friday night and it was not as good as I had hoped. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and I really like how they fixed up the space and have garage doors open to the street, but the food was a bit disappointing. We also had a very nice waitress, however we had asked for water a couple times and when we asked for our dressing she forgot it. We started off with the steak toast and avocado fries. The Avocado Fries had a good sauce that accompanies them for dipping, but the Steak Toast said it was drizzled with a steak sauce and it was drenched in the sauce that was not very good. For entrees my husband had the Texas Biggie Burger, I had the Grilled Chicken Sienna, and our friends had The Social Salmon and the Arrabbiata with meatballs. The chicken on my sandwich was tough and overcooked, and it was served on thick slices of bread that was way too much starch. The hubby's burger was cooked as he asked but again, nothing special. The fries served with the burger were definitely from fries and had no taste at all. Our friends both said they're entrees were good, but not great. I wish that we had opted for some of their pizza, as the tables around us all had pizza and it looked good. Might go back for pizza but will not be going back for anything we had on this outing. read more

The food was amazing! I had The Social blackened salmon it was one of the best I've had. The Shrimp Oreganata was so good, loved the potatoes. My daughter got the Pomodoro pasta, she was pleased. So I read the reviews and thought I want to make my own decision ... I love the decor of the place... I got the chicken noodle soup which should have been called macaroni and carrot soup. It had a ton of elbow macaroni noodles carrots and 3-5 strings of chicken I also got the sorrento salad which had said pancetta beets and FRESH mozzarella Well, it was 4 mozzarella balls that were out of a container 4 slices of beets and 3 strips of rubbery bacon on top My husband ordered a plain pizza ultra thin crust and I thought they had a Italian wood burning oven for the pizza and it came out under cooked crust and cheese not fully melted on top... This place was such a vibe! Love the rustic feel and the set up, as well as the music. I came with a friend for lunch soon after they opened so it was a bit quiet, but could definitely see it accommodating some large groups on evenings and weekends. The menu all looked great with lots of variety, it was hard to pick. I got the veggie pizza (no olives) and my friend got the bangin buffalo chicken pizza. They were both delicious, with nice crisp crust and lots of flavor, and the buffalo had a nice kick. We got the personal pies and still were able to take about half home as leftovers. I'm so disappointed, because I really wanted to like it. The service was excellent but none of us liked our food. The burgers were way overdone and charred with no flavor, the French onion soup had no liquid.
