I made a reservation for 11 people on a Saturday at 5 PM for my daughter's birthday. During the call, no one mentioned there was a strict 2-hour time limit. The experience felt rushed from the start. They brought us the check before even asking if we wanted dessert. When I told the server we did want dessert, she said we could only order 1-2 items because they had another reservation at 7 PM. For a birthday celebration, this was extremely disappointing. We felt pushed out and not accommodated at all. If there are time limits, they should be clearly communicated when making the reservation--especially for large parties celebrating something special. Overall, very poor experience and not how you treat customers celebrating a special occasion. read more

Pizza was delicious light and crispy , salad was super delicious we enjoyed the pieces of salami and cheese on top chopped up was a nice touch. Rigatoni vodka was ok sauce tasted almost not home made which was kind of a turnoff plus we felt that it was expensive for what it was ( the pasta dish). Had some of the best food here the other day. Started off with a few apps - sweet chili Thai calamari (my favorite), chicken parm stuffed artichokes and spicy shrimp. Everything was phenomenal. Then had three pizzas - classic, vodka parm and meat. Everything was cooked to perfection. Thin, but not too thin. Not extremely oil. It was fantastic. I was no disappointed. Staff came and cleaned up our table as we continue to eat our meal. they checked on us. Our server was very attentive. Federici's has a good product and they charge you for it. We got takeout and the large pizza was good but pricey. I like getting the sausage topping and they hammer you for it. I guess this is the way things are now so more power to them. I also ordered the meatballs and found them to be bland though. Not good. The takeout window is on the side fyi. My family always comes here at least once during the shore season. Never a disappointment. Great Italian food for even better prices, you can't go wrong. You can eat inside or outside, but I have always preferred to eat outside. (They have ceiling fans outdoors to help keep the air cool.) A must order is their pizza. It's a wonderful thin crust with great sauce and toppings, customize your own. This time we went simple and got a sausage pizza. Their Caesar salad is also great, we tried mussels and they came in a delicious marinara sauce. Last, the chicken parmigiana! WOW! I love when a classic recipe is made beyond your expectations. Probably the best penne with vodka in Monmouth County. It was creamy and cooked to perfection. The friend calamari was crisp and full of flavor. By far our favorite pizza place in NJ, possibly anywhere! Been on a big pizza run lately, esp bar pie. LOVE bar pie, paper thin, good crisp, great sauce, eat a large without feeling full. Federici's has all of the above and then some. After trying 40+ pizza joints up and down the Jersey Shore and surrounding areas, Federici's is what we keep coming back to time and time again! Portnoy's score of an 8.8 was spot on, I'd even go 9.2 but I'm no Portnoy and an 8.8 is a monster score for him. Two locations, we go to the one on 10th as it's a little closer for us. About a 25 min ride from the house, well worth it. Call it in when we leave, always ready when we pick it up; max 25 mins, sometimes 15-20 mins from time we order. It's just perfectly cooked, sauce and cheese are both amazing. I like toppings on my pizza but this is one of the few where plain cheese is just as good as any toppings. Kids love it and they're picky, both wife and I agree it's the best pizza around. Hands down our local spot but would drive much further for it. Cannot beat this for bar pie!! read more

Having been a repeat satisfied customer at their Freehold location, I gave Federici's in Belmar a try while in the Jersey Shore area. Their outdoor seating area is open for dine in and they take reservations via OpenTable. For a late lunch, it wasn't crowded at all. All the tables were distanced apart & the business takes health guidelines seriously. All the employees properly wear their masks, provide single use menus, and only allow one masked person at a time inside the restaurant should you wish to use the restroom. They provide single use condiments to avoid common use containers. I noticed they were vigilant in cleaning & disinfecting tables once guests left. The pizza (4.5/5) is thin crust & crispy, with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Mozzarella sticks (4/5) were hearty and big, though a little lacking in breading flavor. Overall, I'm rounding up to 5 stars for the delicious pizza, excellent service, & commitment to adhering to health/safety guidelines. read more

We love this restaurant!- in another life this was the iconic Vesuvio's and they have adopted the famous Jim Salad from the old Vesuvio days, which is a terrific salad. The thin crust pizza with toppings and eggplant parm at Federici's can't be beat - everything is always fresh and cooked to order. On our last visit (just last week) - and I should mention we dine at Federici's about once a month -- the waitress politely told us that they are now adding 3% to all credit card (or debit) payments. This kind of surprised us and we're hoping this will not be a new trend for restaurants. It's bad enough that we have to mortgage the house to buy groceries these days : ), but for restaurants to tack on an extra 3% to cover their bank fees just seems to be taking advantage of us as patrons - especially in these difficult inflationary times. Please re-consider the extra 3% charge to customers who pay with a credit or debit card. Thank you! read more
