California chicken hero
Elizabeth C.

We were at the beach all day and just wanted a quick meal. Our waitress was very sweet and told us we could sit wherever we wanted to. We opted for a table outside as it wasn't too hot out. Looking over the menu I decided on a California style chicken hero. The waitress gladly told me that they could grill the chicken for me instead of pan searing it. I also added onions to it because who can eat a chicken sandwich without onions? LOL. My boyfriend orders the eggplant parmigiana with Angel hair pasta. Our waitress came out with some focaccia bread for us since he had ordered a dinner. I thought it was fine but he thought it was too doughy. Too each is own. My sandwich was tasty although it could have had a little more mayonnaise as it was a little dry. The eggplant parmigiana was very good. We will definitely stop back when at the beach for the day.

Great gluten-free pie!!

We wanted a quick pizza dinner in town. Everyone working there from the wait staff to the cooks to the owner were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Great variety in choices and special requests were no problem. The food came out fast, hot and tasty. So happy we stopped in and will definitely return.

The place can use a freshening up of its dining area but other than that the food excellent and the prices are affordable.

We order regularly from Spring Lake Pizza. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. Their catering is also amazing.

We stopped by Lubrano's after strolling the boardwalk wanting to avoid the greasy boardwalk eats. I wasn't expecting much since it just seemed like your standard pizzeria with a dining area, but I was surprised to learn the food offerings are elevated and done right. We came at an odd time, right in between lunch and dinner, but thankfully we're given the option to order off the lunch menu if we wanted. The lobster & crab bisque was one of the items on the lunch menu that I ordered - and the portion was MASSIVE. The flavor was there, but to my disappointment there were no signs of crab or lobster meat in this soup whatsoever, not even one chunk of meat. The appetizer salads given to every person who ordered an entree were a decent size, and the balsamic dressing packed a punch. I opted for the spicy rigatoni and once again, the portion size was healthy and the flavors were great. I tried some of the other dishes at the table, including the special of the day: monkfish, and all entrees were done well. It may have been an off day, but our waitress didn't seem too happy to serve us and would often cut us off mid sentence when ordering / asking a question. Often times she seemed irritated and short with the questions we asked regarding menu options, but I'll give Lubrano's the benefit of the doubt that this isn't their standard. Overall, this is a solid restaurant for Italian food and would definitely return when in the area!

Now I am not a fig fan, but this was great and a nice start to the meal. For the entree I had baked lasagna which is an Italian classic and one of my favorites. This had plenty of meat with ricotta and fresh mozzarella. This was a nice light meal and enough that I only ate half of last night. My wife had the Cannelloni / Manicotti which was another baked dish with very similar ingredients. This had a bit less pasta but a combination that was really great. This was served in a plate almost the size of a small boat and there was no way she was finishing it. We went in on a Friday night and being the July 4th weekend we immediately were at a table. They quickly served bread with an EVO oil and spices that were really good. Kirstin was our server and she had the answers to all our questions and steered us to the perfect dinner. There was also a guy cleaning plates and he was quite personable talking about the meals. With a slower then usual Friday we at in an area with probably only 8 other tables. There was at least one more are with other tables that allowed for a quite ambiance to eat in with lower noise. One of my pet peeves is eating in a place where you fight to hear the people at the table in conversation. This was not the case This restaurant is now in our Wall area for better food, at an extremely reasonable price and you should stop and give them a shot
