I ordered a half Margarita and half Parmigiana pizza. The Margarita Pizza I thought was bland, but the mozzarella cheese was good quality. The Parmigiana pizza was good. The pizza dough is airy on top and crispy on the bottom. I personally didn't care for their pizza dough, and I thought their sauce was bland. Flavorful big chicken cutlet chunks amongst celery and a blue cheese dressing drizzle. The pizza is long and rectangular, with a thin crust on the darker side (almost burnt). My family decided to order out from our local QUA pizza in Manasquan. I will say we have never had Roman style pizza before. However we wanted to see what all the rave was about. Food: I will say the online menu is not very user friendly. There's no pictures online and no sizes etc. My husband actually winded up going there to see how everything works and to get a better idea. We had ordered Jersey Boy, Americana and Diavola as well as a Caesar salad. I wouldn't classify this as regular pizza because it's more "fancy" but it was good and flavorful but most of it was over cooked and burnt. I wouldn't say that this would be a favorite place for my family because my kids did not care for this style of pizza. However it was something "different" from your typical pizza place. I will say the chicken Caesar salad was delicious and filled with lots of flavor. Great portion size and overall my favorite item. Service: There was nothing really great that stuck out. I've been meaning to stop in to grab a slice for years. I wish I stopped in sooner. My mouth is watering as I think about describing this perfectly crafted pizza. The light airy crust was the perfect thickness and had a soft yet toasty crunch. It was not greasy, like most pizzas. The quality of sauce, cheese and spices are way above average. A lot of the ingredients are sourced from Italy - non-GMO tomatoes, the flour used is quality wheat that contains no additives or added enzymes. The toppings are sourced locally or from Italy. I typically have a reaction from dairy and gluten but I had no issue with this pizza. This is probably because most of it is sourced from good quality ingredients from Italy. It's also kid approved! My daughter absolutely loved it. This is the best pizza in this area and maybe even the best in Jersey. I can't wait to go back for more. Update: We have been back for more multiple times. Everything Qua Pizza offers is OUTSTANDING !! Qua Pizza has catered numerous parties and events we have had including our daughter's bridal shower. They actually catered an event another one of our daughters hosted just last week. Their pizza is unlike anything you've ever tasted and they even offer a TAKE N BAKE version you can pick up that is par cooked. Just pop it in the oven at 425 degrees for 12-15 mins. I'm so happy that QUA decided to open up in Manasquan. Everything about this pizza place is enjoyable. There is good service, good food options, and most importantly, great pizza. It is important to note that this is Roman style pizza--that is, it's similar to a Sicilian slice but lighter!!! If you are looking for a regular triangle slice, this is not somewhere I would go. However, if you're looking for something different with fresh ingredients, I suggest coming here. My favorite things to get are the Americana slice and the Pomodoro slice. If you're going with another person, I enjoy getting two slices and splitting them... the workers will do it for you and it's a good way to get a variety. I also like their salads! I really enjoy the Panzanella which is light and includes orange and shaved fennel. QUA also has weekly specials that they keep on a board easily visible from where you order. I love this place!! We ordered a plain pie with extra cheese because I stick with simple before investing in more complex flavors; clearly this is not the style of ordering. Their style of pizza is Sicilian, call it what you will...The bottom of the pie was black, a sign of poor attentiveness in preparation, a bitterness that overpowered the fresh ingredients. At $21 for a quarter of Sicilian; was in my opinion, very expensive.
