We didn't even make it to try the food. Unfortunately, the service was so awful we decided to order for a party we had elsewhere. When I called to place the order, I had two questions. I was speaking to a very rude man who immediately had an attitude. As soon as I asked the second question, "What's in your chicken salad?", he grunted and told me to hold on. He then went ahead and cursed numerous times about me all while near the phone and not putting me on hold saying I ask to many questions and he's not dealing with it along with many curse words. Review is for cheesteak only. It's amazing. Whenever I'm in jersey I bring a few home for me and the fam. The place looks scuzzy but that's why we get them to go. It's out of this world. The bread is soft, the meats juicy and chopped fine with just enough sautéed onion, Ooey gooey melty cheese. For $10 you get a large which will feed 2-3 people. Everyone I'm in the area I pickup 2 large to bring all the way home to Staten Island. They pack it up really tight for travel and then I try the entire way home not to break into one of them. The woman taking the order was friendly but the delivery ended up taking 90 min on a Sunday at 7pm and they forgot 1/2 my order and had to go back to get it. I'm writing this review as I sip my coffee and eat one of the BEST cheesesteaks I've ever had. I'm a pretty picky eater, although I am a foodie, and this cheesesteak just ROCKS. Last night my gf and I ordered 2 sandwiches: I got steak with onions, cheese and mayo. She got steak and cheese with lettuce and mayo. They were HUGE. I was up in New Jersey for work the other day and asked a local where I could find a good sub to eat and WOW! I asked the woman at the register how long they had been in business and she proudly said "50 years in November!" 50 years! Once you taste their food, you too will understand why that 50 years is such a statement! Phenomenal! best cheesesteak I've had hands down. I came in with my daughter for lunch. After reading all the reviews I decided to give it a shot. We ordered our food and everything did come out fast so that's where the 2 stars were given. As far as the food it was mediocre at best. The owner/owners were so rude. I accidentally ordered the wrong pasta and asked if I could change it due to my daughter didn't eat the one it came with. Love this place... my new "go to" for a quick, inexpensive lunch during my break from work nearby. Two slices of really good pizza and a Snapple for about the same price as (maybe even less than) a crappy burger/fries from the local Burger King. And great, friendly service. Dragged a couple of buddies along with me, and now they are turning their friends on to Vinnie's. And thumbs up on the cheese steak! I ordered food today around 5pm told it would take about 20mins. I arrived around 15mins after ordering and waited about a half and hour extra for a single calzone to be made. While waiting I witnessed a employee touch raw meat then cut cheese on a slicer without using gloves or cleaning their hands. Then the same employee took multiple orders, gave out change, and rotated pizza in and out of the oven to keep them warm. This was absolutely unprofessional and unsanitary and could cause major health issues.
