Finally stopped by here after fishing. They had football Sunday specials. We got cheeseburger sliders $10, wings 10/$10, and a 12" bar pizza $6. The sliders came out and looked tiny. They were actually thick and fresh. They were delicious. I got kung poa wings...or however you spell that and they were so good. The pizza was thin crust and looked amazing. It was tasty but the crust was like chewing leather. I wont get that again but look forward to going back to try some of their other meals. Place is spacious and comfy. Lots of TVs for sports peeps. Went for lunch there on a dreary wet shore day. Greeted warmly by the 3 bartenders. I ordered the mahi mahi dinner with broccoli and instead of just rice I asked for rice and beans. I am originally from the Bronx lol. It was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her wings. Kudos to the chef. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of the bartenders. They were attentive and kept a jovial conversation with all the customers. It is truly one of our favorite restaurants. I believe I already wrote a review but do not see it. To make a long story short, I am a 71-year-old woman staying in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, for a few days, and decided to stop in the Boatyard, as it looked inviting. The one day I went for a glass of wine and it was quite nice, so the next day I decided to go back. Was enjoying myself with a few glasses of red wine, and the thin-crust pizza. A group of young men wearing the same T-shirts walked in, and there was a middle-aged gentleman to my right, admiring the waitress, Sid. There was also a guy who said it was his first day, Cliford, and he pointed out his name was spelled with one "f." I had short, what I considered, "congenial" conversations with both of them. Suddenly, for apparently no reason, I get escorted out by the police for what they called racist statements! They also accused me of not paying the bill, which I left money on the bar at all times. Mind you, my short conversations had nothing to do with race at all. To make a long story short, the police come and escort me out and to the police station! From there, I ended up at the Ocean Hospital, where a small, smelly lady watched over me all night. I ended up having to take an Uber back to my hotel room. No one cared to ask whether I had any kind of medical condition that required medicine. In sum, I believe this restaurant has something to hide. I suggest never stepping foot in this place ever! The inside is clean and bigger than you'd think looking at the building. It's your typical bar. The menu has some decent things to choose from. Our grilled wings were good. Garlic parm was a hit and so was the bbq. The crab cake sandwich was very good, and loved the skinny fry option! My Moscow mule was good and our hostess let us know it was all day long happy hour. The space is great., both indoor and outdoor seating areas are nice. Outdoor area is nice for pets/dogs and kids to have a little space. Both our pup and kids were happy. Servers were all knowledgeable and friendly! Draft list left something to be desired, but decent enough. Neither wife or I were impressed with our orders. Both were okay, but we would like to try something else. I should have known better ordering a poke bowl when I spend so much time in SoCal. It was overloaded with rice and very little fish. Although the music was loud and it was a rather cool night, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The muscles appetizer was delicious with a buttery sauce, wish they gave us more bread for dipping. The chicken wings, fish tacos, blackened mahi-mahi, and Poké bowl we're all delicious. The bill came out to be $150 with tip, which was rather expensive for a casual dining dinner, but it is a tourist area during season. Went there yesterday. Had a glass of house Merlot maybe the worst tasting wine I ever experienced. Ordered a Beyond Burger and got what appeared to be an old piece of a saddle or maybe the burger was extremely overcooked. Absolutely loved our experience here! From the person taking my reservation on the phone, the hostess and our waitress. These people are so warm and friendly. In addition, we were thrilled that they had some pretty great tasting vegan options for our mixed party. They even had vegan cheese for our burgers and special touches like their pickled onions. Came here for the first time and we will definitely be back! My husband and I love a half indoor outdoor situation - and a lot of places around don't get it quite right. Boatyard is open, bright, and clean; and the literal boat views are relaxing. We had beers and lunch here today (the Friday of MDW). We were greeted by Matty - he served us ice cold Kona Golden Ales (they really hit the spot after biking over there). I had the Boatyard burger and he had the fish and chips - ask for the steak fries because they were deliciously thick and crispy! We did have to wait some time for a table for 2 and wait a long time for our food to come out, so I wouldn't come here for quick service. The staff was friendly.
