    Oh how I have missed his restaurant!!! It's been toooooo long! Give us came here for restaurant week. I ordered the beet and peach salad, pappardelle, and lemon panna cotta. The salad was huge and very tasty. The pappardelle noodles melted in my mouth and meat was hearty. Dessert delicious. Got to put this place back in the rotation!!!

    So so amazing! The scallops in corn and lobster bisque were to die for, but also I'd go back for everything on this menu! Inside was nice and clean and service was attentive!

    A beautiful northern Italian restaurant that I have to go to every month. The staff, the som, the bartenders, servers- everyone is amazing and attentive. They are kind and the food never misses. The agnolotti is a not to miss, and the scallop appetizers or the tonno are so good. They do seafood, pasta, proteins, and desserts extremely well. There's little bites from the chef in the beginning and sometimes an extra dessert

    On a business trip and definitely a unique experience! Our local host coordinated with several of her friends from college and this was our third leg of a great three nights of fantastic dining! She negotiated with the restaurant to score us a late reservation at 6:00 and got us in! The restaurant was a really fun experience and the inside of the restaurant was very comfortable. On with the food. I opted to skip the appetizers but my fellow guests sampled the list but I did try a piece of the focaccia basket. Very soft bread with a nice shell. The flavors were something else as the tomatoes baked in the bread and the fresh herbs just made it something so special. Others tried the tartare and the prosciutto dish. For my dinner, I wrestled with so many great choices - my table ordered the veal chops and I went with the Tagliata di Manzo! It was incredible and cooked perfectly. The mushroom and flavor of the meat with the two purées made it pop. The meat was so tender and packed with flavor. I again skipped desserts but the table raved about the tiramisu... until my next trip to DC!

    Stopped in here before a show because we didn't have a reservation anywhere else . We asked to sit at the bar and everyone was super nice to let us. Amazing Mexican martini and appetizers!

    Great luxe restaurant in downtown dc. Get a reservation first before you cone here. They have a good wine list and great options on the entrees. All the food we ordered were specials but were amazing. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The dessert was also great. I got a truffle pasta that was good as well, not super strong on the truffle flavour but very dense and creamy.

    We've been to Tosca twice and they didn't disappoint!! The menu is small - but I always see that as a good sign. It means they make all of their dishes impeccably. We started with their focaccia bread - like little croissant cupcakes with tomato and coarse salt on top. Yum! We had to order 2 more. Then onto the buratta appetizer with endive, pomegranate, golden berries and pistachio. I loved this different take on buratta. The tuna crust is a dish to write home about! Super fresh tuna in a sweet citrusy sauce with sea beans. So fresh and delicious! We spit the bolognese and lobster ravioli special. Both were delicious - pasta cooked well, flavorful simple sauces and perfect portion size for 2 to split. Their tiramisu is creamy and crunchy with little chocolate balls on top. A really lovely way to end the meal!!

    Amazing dinner experience. We had the bread, burrata, salmon crudo, a special duck pasta, lamb loin, and 2 desserts. We love the foods, drinks, ambience, and especially the service. Our server divided each entree into 2 for us since we were sharing everything. Definitely will be back.

So, after another popular (and cheaper) Italian place closed before I could finish my delivery order, I spotted L'Ardente. I ordered the famous Lasagna - their 40-layer specialty - with short rib sugo, truffle mornay, and Sottocenere Cheese. The truffle mornay added a smooth, melty, creamy cheese sauce. It is good, but I am not sure if it is worth the hype at $40 lagnasa. I think the cost is built into the work but not the flavor profile. I think the meal is better without the sauce - it made it too salty with it.

I brought a cake with me and I was going to ask how much they charge for storage and they told me "Nothing, it's free of charge". They relieved me so much. I also got a side of garlic bread and it was so crispy, light, buttery, and garlicky, just like I like it. My husband ordered the Drunken Love Pizza and of course I had to try a slice and WOWWWW. That one slice of pizza had me drooling it was so yummy!! Everyone enjoyed their food and it was great time. Now, on to my cake, I'd brought candles, plates, and even a knife with me to cut the cake. To my surprise, they brought the cake out with lit candles and everyone sung Happy Birthday to me. They even cut and served the cake to us. Keep in mind, there was not a charge on the bill for this either. It truly made my birthday even more special. Grazie Nonna, you don't understand how happy you made me feel that day.
