Wow our valentines dinner was so amazing. The food is absolutely flavorful. Bury me please in this seafood ravioli special. I was literally licking my plate to make sure I got all the sauce. Cute little heart shaped complimentary breads for valentines too! Calamari was nice and light. Tiramisu was rich and hit the spot. Street parking was pretty easy, but it was quite crowded for Valentine's Day (rightfully so). Hostess and waiter were kind and did not rush us at all.

Was wine tasting across the street with a friend at Molly's Bottle Shop and stopped in for dinner. We wanted something a little lighter than pasta since it was warm out so we shared a chop salad and pizza. Was the perfect meal. Luckily we both like the same type of pizza and selected the RUCOLA Fresh mozzarella, Prosciutto di Parma, arugula, shaved parmesan cheese. And had a couple of slices to left to bring home. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciated they brought out an extra plate without being asked knowing we were sharing the salad and pizza. I think then one thing that really made an impression on me is they knew which card went back to who. I'm Japanese American my guess is our server took the time to glance at the name on cards and could tell which went to who. something small but made a lasting impression on me. Space is warm and welcoming very old school Italian feel with melting stick candles. One day I look forward to sitting in the tent out back.

Picolinos feels like you're walking into Nonna's house and she is making her homemade gravy for Sunday dinner. It seems to be everyone's special spot for a big occasion. I'm pretty sure we were sitting next to a party of 10 that hadn't seen each other in years. We were just there for some fantastic Italian food, and we were not let down. Table bread is a lost art these days. It's very rare that you get it, and it's even more rare that it's homemade. I know it's not free per se, but it still makes me ridiculously happy. Especially at an Italian restaurant where it is IMPERATIVE to have a sauce shovel to accompany your meal. I scoop up sauce like a dog when it sees food on the ground. They actually had two different types of table bread here, one that was a nice fluffy sourdough-esque loaf, and then another that was a more focaccia-inspired thyme-infused pillowy table topper. Both were fantastic, the waiter understood the assignment here. I had a few dishes in mind that I couldn't decide between, but elected to completely change my path after asking the waiter what he recommended. The way that he spoke about the rigatoni with sausage (blanking on the actual name), altered my destiny for the better. I knew that this was the one to choose, especially since I didn't even mention the other dishes that I was deciding between. I'm always game for a red sauce with heavy cream. The food here is fantastic by Seattle Italian restaurant standards. Great wine selection, a tough selection between the excellent dishes, and the service is quick and attentive.

Chose this restaurant for date night b/c of the Christmas decors. First time here and wow, it's so beautiful with the lights and cozy with the candles and table setup. Though, I did wish they put us in the main dining room. It seemed warmer inside with larger, sturdier tables. We got seated in the tented area (wasn't too cold, but it wasn't warm either). The seating arrangement was a bit too tight for the amount of food and drinks we've ordered. Pasta was delicious (fresh and well seasoned), that ragu is to die for! The pizza on the other hand....I'm not a huge fan b/c I've had better ‍. I wish it was thinner and crispy with that wood fired oven kind of outcome. Toppings were great, sauce was great, but that dough did not hit a home run for me. Would I come back? Yes, but if and only if they're able to seat me in the main dining room.

We went here for an early dinner on a busy weekend and thankful we came in early. Our reservations was before 6pm. Service was great when the restaurant wasn't busy. It's quite a large restaurant with lots of tables and an eclectic Italian decor inside. We had a big group and our waiter was very nice. We were celebrating a birthday and we received a complimentary creme brulee for dessert. It was delicious! The food was good except for the pizzas. I recommend ordering the pasta dishes. Our chopped salad was good though I wish the portion was a little bigger. The pizza was larger than I expected which made it worth the price. The spicy pepperoni pizza was a bit disappointing though. The pizza was soggy in the middle and was just flopping down with the cheese and pepperonis sliding right off. The tagliatelle and pappardelle pasta dishes were better and our friends enjoyed them.

We celebrating something. I have no idea what but we did.

This place is an absolute gem. We have been there a couple of times and absolutely love their food.

Good Italian spot in the city! We came for a friend's birthday and the staff was very accommodating for our large party. The portions were large and they even had a specials menu which I'd highly recommend ordering off of. I ordered one of their classic pasta dishes and was satisfied. For an appetizer we had the Calamari alla Diavola - a great calamari dish with a flavorful tomato sauce. We came on a rainy day and sat on the enclosed summer patio. I can see that spot being highly sought after especially on a nicer day in the spring. There was some live music playing and overall great vibes.

We had a 3 course lunch here at a public opera event. We ate on the beautiful enclosed patio that was like a garden greenhouse. The food was delicious. I recommend the seafood lasagna.

APPETIZERS: Weirdly enough I wanna say that their bread was the best part LOL - nothing really special about any particular dish, except for the fact that the Brussels sprouts were kinda over cooked and kinda mushy MAINS: Portion sizes are HUGE!! Literally fed me for four meals again, everything was good, but nothing was outstanding. The penne pomodoro was v salty though while the pumpkin risotto was kinda bland weird huh and the pizza was also not v good. The base was soggy, cheese was kinda coagulated and lacking and half the pizza was like nicely charred while the other side was like barely cooked DESSERT: Again with the nothing special comment!! The cannoli's were v pretty but the shell was kinda thick which made it like chewy and tough to get through. The tiramisu was pretty much 80% cream and 20% cake Super vibey place w live music, outdoor seating and fire pits, but food just didn't cut it IG:Spillingthe.beans

Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
