Not very impressed.i left the service for a few months during the fires and they were charging me every even though I wasn't using the service I told them to stop charging me and refunded me for those months and that I will start the membership once I am back.Well in my return I sent them 2 bags and they charged me so much just just for 2 smalls bag and they said I wasn't in the plan.The communicating with this company is poor and the clothes come back ruined.The towels come off very hard and it seems they are washing the clothes from other people as I gotten items that are not mine. We have been using rinse since April 2023 only because we moved to a neighborhood that is out of the service area for our preferred laundry service (Happy Nest). Compared to Happy Nest, it's more than double the price (Happy Nest for us was around $120/mo compared to Rinse for $260). There have been 4 or 5 times where we have received other people's items (mostly someone's underwear). This makes me concerned that they are also losing our stuff. We are just so busy that we keep using their service and plan on just losing our clothes until our schedule becomes more manageable. Super convenient and good service but I have issues with it. Since I've started working with them, the price has gone up $20 per bag which I just cannot justify anymore especially because the service/value hasnt improved at all changed and the bags are smaller. Also, I consistently get other people's socks and underwear and am definitely missing a few clothing items myself. My whites are never cleaned well enough. It's extremely frustrating, and I've used them for two years now. If I can get my whites whiter on my own, I absolutely can no longer pay for them to do a shoddier job. I'm looking for a new laundry service that can do a better job. There are other minor annoyances but not worth mentioning as my biggest complaint is my whites not laundered well enough. Rinse was good about three or four years ago. Now it's just expensive, poor quality of cleaning and bad customer service. The pick up and drop off times are also an issue...9:30-10pm at night?! It's not uncommon to have several items ruined with each request. At first I brushed them off. I then started to notice that more and more items were being ruined (dress shirts, pants, shorts, etc.). I spent about $460 over three requests and ended up throwing out over a $100 worth of ruined clothes. I would typically text the driver who was dropping off "cleaned" clothes and say "I have two bags for pick up (wash and fold)." Every driver would respond with "No problem." I always did this except for the very first request. One of the recent drivers, who I had been texting with for several hours, shows up at my door and says, "you need to request pick ups on the app". You couldn't have texted me that earlier in the night. Welp...best of luck. read more

I gave rinse a try and sadly was disappointed. My dry cleaning was returned covered in hair and lint. I was offered a re-do and I did it. The clothes came back with the same issue. I also tried a wash & fold order and two of 8 sweatshirts submitted were damaged beyond repair. I received payment for the items but wish I didn't have to go through the trouble. read more

I just wanted to update my review to reflect what has happened since my last review. First, the comforter we sent in for dry cleaning was ruined - it was pilly and had shrunk. Second, rinse had given me a credit to make up for the previous experience. I reluctantly used the credit and the valet texted me to tell me he must have missed me because he tried to ring the doorbell but no one answered. The problem (as noted below) is that we have a digital doorbell and camera system that records every single person who rings the doorbell and there was no evidence of him ever ringing the doorbell. Second, he offered to set up delivery for the next day and just didn't do it. Now I'm still waiting on my laundry and not sure when (or if?) I will ever receive it. This was my first and last time using this laundry service. They returned my laundry bag with a significant amount of items missing, about 10 to be exact. They delayed my return delivery because of the storm which was no big deal but I think it played a part in my clothes not being properly returned to me. The weird part is that most, if not all of the missing items were undergarments and pajamas. They did give me a discount for the cool duffle bag they provided but then added the regular price back on once I stated that I'd never use their service again. Great turn around time and not as expensive as I thought it was going to be!! I was a little worried reading some of the negative reviews, but I got all my clothes back, perfectly washed and perfectly folded! Rinse made the entire process seamless and so easy. I was even able to give them a bag of donations that has been sitting around that I haven't had the time to drop off! Highly recommend to anyone that doesn't have a W/D in their apartment, or for whatever reason (like myself) got way too behind on laundry and needs the extra help. So happy to have found Rinse! We're under construction with a full gut renovation and having someone take laundry off our to-do list has been such a help. Not only is the service a breeze to use, but they do an excellent job with our laundry. Delivery services are on time and later in the day so we're sure to be home. Would highly recommend the Wash & Fold service. We use one bag for two people, twice a month and alternate between sheets and towels and clothes and it's been just the right amount for us. We're super happy. And then this happened... I had inadvertently left my wedding rings in a pocket and they contacted me immediately when they were found, with pictures. I had been frantically looking for them and it hadn't even occurred to me that they might have gone out with the laundry. The rings were tied up in a little bag and included with our delivery. When I started out with Rinse I was happy and impressed. The problem was I was not able to do a bag a month so I eventually wound up 5 months behind. I closed the account and they gave me a full refund for the bags and months I did not use. They said I could restart the account when I needed to. About 3 months a go I reactivated the account and did two laundries within that time. They changed to a smaller bag. Also they would text me and tell me I only had one bag when I had at least 3 stored up. They would charge me once a month. Another issue was I was getting other peoples clothes, mostly socks and underwear which leads me to believe they were washing whites together with other accounts and trying to separate things later. It also seemed the underwear and socks were degrading sooner than they should especially the elastics. They probably use bleach because thru their own admission they only use cold water. Anyway, I closed the account but was not able to get the credit I had stored up. They gave me credit for one month and told me it was the policy to not allow the months to stack up. I guess it's in the fine print somewhere. I lost $230. read more

I rarely write a review that is not positive. However, I do feel obligated to warn potential customers about this company. About two years ago, we started using Rinse. The service was excellent! The valets were on time and friendly and our clothes were returned to us clean and folded neatly. For about a year, service was impeccable. Unfortunately, that began to change. First, the clothes were returned, clean, but folded poorly and messily placed in the bag. We complained about this, but whatever partners Rinse was using failed to improve the quality of the work. Then, the service lost a few of my new sweaters. Now, to be fair, I was issued a refund for my sweaters. Nevertheless, with quality heading in the wrong direction, we took a break from Rinse. A few months later, we moved and I wanted to give the service another try. Unfortunately, with every order there was a problem. Either the clothes didn't come back when they were scheduled to do so or the quality of the work (cleanliness and folding) was below par or I was charged when my credit should have been applied or I received the wrong clothes... Again, to the company's credit, the customer service personnel did correct any error in a polite and timely fashion. However, after having to communicate with Rinse over a series of problems with several orders in a row, I was ready to give up on the company. I gave them one final chance. The friendly valet took my clothes on a Saturday evening, for a next day wash and fold order. On Sunday my clothes were returned, on time. About an hour after delivery, I went into the bags to begin putting the clothes away. When I opened the bags, I found the clothes in the same exact state from the day before. Rinse had returned dirty clothes to me! While the company was apologetic, explained how the error occurred, and offered a credit on my next order, I cannot see myself using the service ever again or recommending it to anyone. They essentially left me without clean clothes at 10pm, too late for me to wash the loads myself and still be able to get up for work in the morning. Rinse, at one point, had all-around impeccable service. I recommended them to friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, they were unable to maintain it and the quality of the service deteriorated continually. As outstanding as their customer service is, which is the only reason I will give this company two stars, I will not use them again. The absolute only time they allow for drop off/pickup is between 8p and 10p. For many upper class folks, this works, but for me, someone who works between these hours every day, it's simply not feasible. When I requested to pick up my dry cleaning outside of these hours (because I work 8-10p every single night), they were polite and made it work, but they were also very clear that they were disgruntled about it, and made it clear to me this is not typically allowed (and dude rolled his eyes at me when I picked up). It would definitely be nice if this company offered services beyond their limited 8-10p drop off window but they won't even allow a pickup. Kinda disappointed. Appreciate the quality laundering/cleaning/folding but bummed out about the lack of flexibility. They accommodated me but it should be built in to the business model to allow pickups. read more

Remember those late nights staying in your building laundry room, fighting for a washer then running down to move them to a dryer, just to find that there are not open dryers. For like 2 hours! Welcome to RINSE. A coworker told me about this service. I live in So Cal but work in Chicago and hated laundry days because they always started at 2am to not deal with the above. I downloaded the App, made and appointment and PRESTO! All communication was via the app or text, pickup time, delivery time and no issues. They even took pictures of my dry cleaning items. The wash/dry/fold service was awesome and the dry cleaning was also excellent. And for the same price as my cleaners in the building who are closed when I leave for work and closed when I get home. My scheduled pick up and delivery were within my time frame 9:30pm. No issues. Change the way you do your laundry, you'll never regret it. read more

I can't stop raving about rinse, I think people are going to start unfriending me. Whatever. My pickup person was so sweet, friendly and informative that I was hoping he would also be the drop off guy. It wasn't him but he was just as nice. Must be something in the water at Rinse. I got texts the day of far in advance and then prior to pickup for etas and the estimates were way more accurate than any food delivery service has ever been. I got 30 pieces of dry cleaning and 20 lbs of laundry for way less than I've been paying for. And I had to lug that crap all over the city. And my laundry smells like LOVE. I want to rub my face in it like that Asian girl in those videos where she loves bread so much that she rubs her face all over loaves of it. My laundry was folded with care (fitted sheets, anyone?!?) and even my workout clothes look like they did when I first bought them. I've hand washed them and they don't come out with that kind of bounce and texture. They left me with awesome sturdy bags for the next round of laundry and dry cleaning. I'm already packing them. I tried Rinse because I had used Tide Spin once and loved their service so much I figured Rinse would be the same. Not the case. Things returned with stuff in pockets still, cat hair all over, and stains in the garments. I brought up that I thought that maybe things hadn't been cleaned, they let me return the items. Came back, and the blankets look better but some stains on a sweater were still there. Dry cleaners I've used before in the past have been able to take care of my needs, and for rinses prices (plus the unspoken obligation to tip) they should also be able to do so. I would not recommend, I will just go to a regular dry cleaner from here on out. read more

The unthinkable happened - I received a stranger's 32 pound bag of laundry in place of my own. Where my belongings are remains a mystery 19 hours later. While the Rinse team is still investigating, and was responsive to my frantic pleas for the return of my belongings, I am shocked that they offered for me to hold onto this stranger's personal belongings for 24 hours so they could arrange for a pickup. Ultimately, I stated they needed to pick the belongings up immediately and they complied, but I hate to think of my own personal property that may be given the same option to one of their customers rather than returned to me. Furthermore, I was offered a $25 credit for the loss of my items..which is shameful. I will update the Yelp community on whether I am returned my items or refunded for my loss (how much, and how long it takes to receive). read more

They have a policy of $30 minimum and just up charge you the remainder instead of telling you so you can just send more clothing. This is also prior to tip, tax or delivery fee. I had three pieces of clothing cleaned and it was almost $40. This policy is buried in their frequently asked questions. The estimated delivery times are also always very inaccurate. This company has changed my life I have always taken my laundry in and use a service on Chicago Avenue call yo-yo laundry which is excellent it's $1.20 a pound which is very reasonable however I would have to drive there and of course leave it and pick it up when I discovered a service that would actually come to my door pick up the laundry and bring it back I was astonished I found out about the service through a celebrity who stayed at my hotel I'm a five star concierge's and even though now the business is suffering and I'm not working I discovered this service From a hotel celebrity who I cannot mention the name but an extremely famous person at any rate I am extremely satisfied with the service they are always on time the clothes are impeccable and it is a luxury service that I have chosen to believe in and keep going because it is something I can afford and it has added a lot of extra time and a lot of luxury to my life and I appreciate them very much read more

I have not had the best luck with Rinse. Mostly from a customer service perspective which is a shame because the laundry is generally pretty good. 1. The first issue I had was that their website wouldn't allow me to sign up for the monthly service and I had to call them to get that set up. 2. When I was able to sign up for the monthly service, no one answered my question about whether the monthly fee covered dry cleaning and hang dry or if that was still extra. 3. Also the bag that you are allowed for the monthly service is 1/2 the size of the regular laundry bag. They seem to not get the concept that the monthly service is supposed to be more economical than the regular service. 4. The last time I got laundry back it was all folded inside out. Why am I paying you to do my laundry if you are going to do it half assed? 5. Tonight is my last time using them. I stayed in tonight to wait for my delivery. The delivery guy either came and didn't knock very loudly or didn't show up at the right building. When I looked up from my magazine I saw that I got a text stating that they were sorry they missed me. I was here the whole time!!!!!!! ( 2 of the issues promoted the company to give me a credit of $10 for each issue) Thanks for the effort, but I am having someone do my laundry because I don't have the time to deal with it. And when I contacted them to complain, I got no response whatsoever.
