I immediately contacted the location and requested that a claim be submitted for the damage. The business declined to submit a claim, denied responsibilit, and did not offer compensation. I later filed a formal complaint with the better business bureau, which was closed as unresolved because the business declined to resolve the matter. This experience was disappointing and stressful, and the issue remains unresloved. I would not recommend this location based on this situation was handled. read more

I need to echo that something has gone very wrong at this location. I've lived in the area for 3 years and this was my go to place for clothing and a washable rug I have. Recently they refused to clean the rug for the same $25 price they have the last 2 times it's been there. Prior to that it was $19 before they increased the prices. That's how long we've been coming here. I have no idea what has changed other than new management because for all 3 years they have previously washed this in their washers on site and there have been zero issues. With so many options in the neighborhood we will no longer come back for any reason. read more

Prices here are unbelievable! About one third of the other 2 cleaners in my neighborhood. I have had hems done here ( call me shorty!) and they came out great. You need to bring the item in pinned because they don't do that. Last week I brought in a comforter that had black on its side as it rubbed against a bike tire while I was driving it to this location. The woman took the comforter and spotted it right away and presto the stain that I thought would remain forever is now gone! Service here is excellent and turn around time is same day in most cases! I don't know what happened but the last time I used CD One (a few months ago), it was obvious that they just put a tag on my clothes and sent them back. Everything was wrinkled (skirt, 2 jumpsuits) and still had spots on them (I used a cloth to remove the spots so it wasn't anything that couldn't be cleaned). Can't chance using them again. read more

I really gotta hand it to these guys. They truly do care about customer satisfaction. I'll make a long story short; I had a jacket cleaned that had some leather trim. They had to send it out to a cleaner specializing in leather. I was not satisfied with the job and told them so. They immediately had it re-cleaned. I was still not satisfied. They explained that the stain would never come out. I figured I would just have to accept it. But they offered to refund me the full amount. I did not expect this and was pleasantly surprised. The Broadview location is a disgrace to the company. They misappropriated 4 of my shirts and the manager and the corporate office are disregarding the issue. However, the employee that validated the items was very compassion, but said that she can't assist with the problem because she doesn't have the authority. I'm a new professional and took my suits here to get dry cleaned and was really disappointed. They came back looking worse than when I dropped them off, and the smell was absolutely unbearable. I have found my local dry cleaners!! The staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable, and my comforter set was cleaned and softened perfectly. I dropped my items (xtra large comforter, two pillow cases, and a mattress liner) off on Friday and they said they would be ready by Sunday- but they were ready Saturday afternoon! I was alerted by email and loved that extra personal touch. When I went to pick up my items, that's when the true customer service shined through.... I brought my rolling shopping cart to transport my items back to my house and it fell apart as I was going out the door. The worker behind the counter came to my aid quickly- offering extra bags and even took my old cart to their trash. I laughed when I wanted to cry (I was not expecting my cart to just fall apart) and due to her quick thinking, I was able to pack up my items and carry them safely home. I've been using CD one for quite some time now. I have a subscription where they come every other week to pick up laundry. Not only do I have clothes that are missing, but my whites are now dingy and no longer white, my bright colored clothes have faded and several nice blouses have been destroyed. Also they claim it's "unlimited" every other week for pick up. That's not true. It's one bag. And to be specific - ONLY the bag they provide. Not a different bag I've been using for months (which is larger). Now they're charging me an additional $25 for an extra bag when originally I placed them all in one bag. Also their customer service is the worst! They were so excited to tell me why my card was charged an extra $25 despite having a subscription. And even more thrilled when I cancelled my subscription. I've cancelled my subscription & am now using SudShare. My clothes smell better, have their bright colors and it's less expensive. Don't waste your time or money on this dump. read more

I brought in a rug to be professionally cleaned. CD One Price informed me that rugs would be sent out to have cleaned. My rug was only 3 years old, never had any stains whatsoever and we never wore shoes in the house. No kids or pets either. The rug was in excellent condition and after I picked it up and brought it home I realized they ruined my rug. The ivory white rug with gray stripes now has mustard yellow stripes. I spent $132 to have it cleaned even though it didn't even need a cleaning.They tried to rectify the issue by asking me to bring it in again but I decided the damage was done and I could not trust them. I wish I had a before picture. The worst part of this story is that the place sent CD One cleaners a doctored picture of my rug. They claim the rug was filthy when it arrived. A blatant lie. Needless to say I will never ever take anything in to CD One cleaners. read more

I had my coat cleaned by a whole different cleaners and it is immaculate and the stain is completely gone, I had to pay a little more to have it properly cleaned but it was worth it. For 2 blankets and 5.6 lbs of laundry, the charges came to 46 and change. I agreed to this, whilst expressing to the cashier, Marian, that I was unsure if their prices were raised since I last came. She stated very curtly, frowning at her computer monitor, "No? Prices have always been this way since forever. The only thing that has changed is the price of dry cleaning. I mean, the prices have been that way since at least July..." I then replied, "Oh, I see. I haven't been here since at least July. And she then continued frowning and then stated "Thanks. These will be ready Monday." Now, perhaps she was having a bad day or perhaps she doesn't know that nuances like frowning and slight attitude to customer inquiries really make the difference between a customer who comes once, and a customer that frequents regularly. Likewise, this off-putting interaction has now made me not only a one-time customer, but will not recommend CD One Price Cleaners to anyone I know -- many of whom dry clean regularly, even during COVID! Once upon a time I thought this location was excellent, so much so that I would drive from the south side to drop off clothing here to be dry cleaned and washed/folded. However after this past weekend I will never utilize this location again. I dropped off my items to be washed/folded as I have at least two dozen other times. The person working behind the counter walked to the scale to weigh the bag. It came in at just over 8 pounds. She then attempts to charge me for 11 pounds and accuses me of attempting to cheat the store. We go back and re-weigh it and... surprise! Just over 8 pounds. No apology, nothing... and this was in full view and earshot of other customers! Later that evening, I pick up my items. Everything was in there except one article of clothing that was somewhat pricey. I contacted the store and spoke to one of the clerks who said that the manager, Gaby (yes I'm name dropping here) would be in contact with me at 1:30 that afternoon. Of course that didn't happen, so I contacted the store again and spoke with the manager. She informed me that she would look at the cameras and give me a call back. I told her that I would, instead, come and see her when I was going to pick up my garments. I get there and of course, she hasn't looked at the cameras. She then said she would look at the cameras and contact me later that evening, which again, she did not. Fast forward to today. I call the store to speak to her, since she didn't reach out to me on Saturday as she promised. She now insists that the item of clothing is in my bag, even when I'm telling her that it's not. She then says that it's all on camera; the person putting the item in my bag and putting some clothes on top of it. If I'm telling you that I've looked through the entire bag and haven't found them, guess what? THEY'RE NOT THERE! I am done with this location. I can no longer trust them. (Around 400 coats and 100 ties before the show), then drop off about 10 at a time daily throughout the show. (Since it's by McCormick Place-we use the one at Mighigan and Cermak). My clothing items were NOT properly pressed, still had deodorant stains on the underarms, other stains while they were worn are still visible and some items still smell like the perfume I had on when I wore the items. This is unacceptable and total crap. Do NOT waste your time or money by going to this cleaners. I now have to go to another cleaners to pay more and have everything re-cleaned because these people didn't do their jobs. Yea, CD One Price is cheap and the turn around is quick, but I see why. I've been cleaning my clothes here ever since I found it over two years ago. I take everything here except for the few things they won't clean (linens, household items, leather, suede, beaded items.....). I have never once had a problem. They've cleaned everything from my winter coat and Halloween costume, to a silk formal gown resembling a wedding dress (just not white). The staff is helpful and courteous. They know what items to be cautious about and will warn you just in case. I've never had a single problem and everything has been cleaned well. Quality dry cleaning. My only reason for using them was price. We have a good deal of dry cleaning which easily runs over $100 for each pickup. Their pricing WAS great but they doubled it overnight. There really isn't any reason to use them anymore since there seems to be a dry cleaner on every other corner with the same pricing as them. It was also very inconvenient using them because we had to use our car for pickup and they are at a very busy intersection. However it was worth the savings. Sadly not anymore. Too bad. read more

This place is crap. I've tried going here off and on for the last three years now and I've had it. They pick and choose what they want to wash for you. If it seems too difficult they turn you away, citing some kind of issue with your garment, like it's your fault. This makes going there pretty pointless because you play dry cleaning roulette every time you open the door. Like, oh, is the staff feeling incompetent today? You might have wasted an entire trip there if they're feeling apathetic enough. For a business that claims to be a cleaners, they sure don't "know how" to wash a lot of basic items. You would also think that, for a business that literally couldn't do half the things I've brought items there to work on, that they would also be able to recommend businesses that can do these things, but no, not that either. I brought in a sleeping bag and they said they couldn't wash it because it would damage the material and they couldn't dry clean it because it would damage the material. Like WTF? I sweat all over this thing for a week. How is a washing machine going to damage it? And then to look at me with a straight face and tell me, "I don't know what to do." Ive been coming to this place for about 3 years. I don't usually bring anything I overly care about, just sweaters and my work pants. I liked that they used to give a discount for uniforms but then they stopped doing that without warning. No big deal. The prices are still pretty good and the turn around time isn't too shabby either. And then I got admonished. My crime? Cat hair. Yes. Cat hair. Sometimes the cat is known to sit on my lap after I get home for work. BEWARE PET OWNERS!! I was told that this would be the last time that they would accept my clothing because there was cat hair on it (not a huge amount, but enough to be noticed, I have dark pants and a white cat), but yet they still took my items. I get it if the chick is allergic and she would prefer not to handle my clothing, but is there no one else available to throw my garments in a bag? Isn't the point of a dry cleaner to ummmm clean my items? What's next? Not accepting clothing because it's dirty? I'm sorry. I just feel some things come with the job description. And what gets me even more annoyed than being scolded in front of other customers is that after 3 years, is that there wasn't a sign or a flier updating their policies. Just some girl behind the counter who could have been making it up for all I know. Claim ticket said it would take 2 weeks. 2 months later with no response I emailed customer service again. Regional mgr called & said they would talk to the franchise owner. Franchise owner yelled at me & hung up on me when I asked him why it took 2 months to resolve a claim. Regional mgr said he would give me $30 for my sweater. Um it was new when you ruined it and hello its J Crew...what am I going to do with $30? Buy a sleeve? Emailed customer service AGAIN & finally in February the situation was finally solved (full reimbursement). No legitimate reason as to why it took 6 months. Came here for the first time because I needed to have The Count's tux dry-cleaned and pressed for the Yelp Prom and I needed at least next-day service. Well CD One Price Cleaners (aka Cleaners Depot) to the rescue! I was told that if we have the items in by ten am, we could pick them up after five. I didn't need them that fast, but that is a good thing to know! I was just glad to be able to pick up his tux the next day and they did a very good job with cleaning and pressing both the jacket and pants. The crease in the pants was sharp and perfect! I was very pleased that the courteous and helpful staff member even put the clothing in a double bag on the hanger as it was raining the day I came in to pick it up. Another cool perk is the free coffee, I didn't partake of any because I was in a hurry but another thing good to know. The price for the service was outstanding. For a wool blend tuxedo jacket and matching pants our cleaning bill was less than four dollars - that is about half the price of having it cleaned at our regular neighborhood cleaner! HOWEVER...they only take cash or checks, no credit cards AND payment is required up front before the clothes go in. I have never been to a cleaners where the money was due up front, but then I don't dry-clean very often. Anyway that was a wee bit annoying as I didn't have any cash on me so I had to go down the street to the Jewel to get money from the ATM rather than be charged an arm and a leg to use theirs. Will definitely use again for suits and such. Don't know about delicates, as I have read the other reviews and am leery about bringing my precious delicate items here. read more
