Worst mistake ever - I heard these were great windows and they are really good windows. The problem is they were not measured correctly. The windows are too small for the opening and the installers had to put molding around them. I have pictures of the huge gap taken during installation. Now on hot days my AC runs constantly. It was MUCH better with the builder-grade windows that I replaced. I expected better for the thousands of dollars that I spent. I called and asked Mr. Ringer about this and have been ignored. I heard that the guy that does the measuring for projects is ill and is being replaced. At this point I regret going with the locally owned company. I do not know if the problem can even be corrected with different molding or insulation. I assume that I have no recourse but my attorney is the next stop. We are quite pleased with our new windows from Ringer. Our house was built in 1980 and had the original aluminum frame windows when we purchased the house. We knew we would need to replace them sooner or later. But after seeing daylight gaps in some of the frames, locks not working, and windows hard to open/close; we knew that the time was now rather than later. We received quotes from several window companies. After reviewing them; Ringer made the most sense for us. They weren't the most expensive nor were they the cheapest. But their commitment to quality and being a local company helped seal the deal. The only downside to our whole experience is that Ringer was backed up on manufacturing the windows by several months due to them being extremely busy. We had seen other installs in our neighborhood and knew that the quality was worth the wait. When the day finally arrived, the install crew came out and two days later we had all new windows in our house. The install crew was professional as they removed our old windows and installed the new ones. We had two issues crop up that are being remedied by the warranty group. I hired Ringer Windows a couple of months ago to replace my old, original 1949 windows. They were great to work with from beginning to end. A little over a year ago, I started the process of replacing all my windows. I started with the back of the house using a different well-publicized window company so I knew the basic process when I was ready to move forward on the front of the house this year. However, I must say I had two very different experiences. End result, I wish I had used Ringer for all my windows. We started the process of getting replacement windows about a year ago. We finally got them installed several weeks ago. I wasn't in a huge hurry to get them, but it took longer than expected, due to supply chain issues and labor shortages, so was happy to finally get the call for an installation date. It was worth the wait. The installation crew were skilled and pleasant to work with. I had plants in front of my kitchen dinette that I asked them to try not to disturb and they did just that. I called to get a quote on replacing the front window on my house. The glass is under warranty, since we built the house a few years ago. When I called Ringer to get a quote for the labor, he laughed at me and said, "there's no company on the planet that would do that job." I was confused and asked why, especially since I called the home builder and they recommended another place that could do the job. But, I wanted to call around to get quotes that I could compare before blindly going with the vendor that the home builder recommended. OK, so here we are in Texas. When I lived in Massachusetts. our last home was built in 1930 and had about thirty windows, single pane, double hung. We had storm windows for the winter months. I gradually replaced all the windows with vinyl frames and high performance (Low E ) glass. We no longer needed storms and e cut our heating and cooling costs dramatically. When we arrived in Texas, ten years ago, I was shocked to see that even high end builders were still using metal framed windows. Yes, they had dual panes but without any insulating qualities. I have gradually replaced my Texas windows with vinyl framed windows with high performance glass. I got the first two on Craigslist from someone who had ordered them from HD but miss-measured. Important to know, if you order windows yourself and you measure incorrectly, you own them. I ordered a few more from Lowe's and Now, I got one from Ringer. This experience will insure that I buy the last two from Ringer as well. These are nice people and easy to deal with. I am extremely pleased with the product. I had worked for Pella and my opinion is that Ringer windows are as good or better. The price was very reasonable. I am doing my own install for this window but the next two will be done by Ringer. A few notes: The Vinyl in vinyl windows is formulated to the zip code in which you live. There are no quality issues with Ringer windows. Vinyl also reduces outside noise.The money that a few companies charge for their windows is ridiculous. One company in particular will charge you $3000. per window. You will never recover that money in energy savings. Ringer is a good, solid company that produces a superior product at an affordable price. read more

At my Church we had 28 windows replaced with Ringer Windows. I am an Architect and I specifically requested Ringer as they are local, they have a good product and I heard good reviews. I was pleased with the installer's work and the vinyl window frames & glass. About two weeks after the work was completed one of the window's glass shattered in the finance office. An Elder of our Church was sitting with his back to the window when it happened. The interior glass pane was the one that shattered. No one touched it. It just shattered. Obviously, the glass was defective. The installer was not reimbursed by Ringer for the glass replacement due to the "fine print" in the contract (8 point font). This is obviously Ringer's responsibility but they have refused to compensate the installer for the glass replacement. My concern is, what if this happens again, will Ringer take responsibility? My advice is to find the fine print clause and strike it out before signing a contract. read more

We just finished a whole house replacement of our windows. The house is over 20 years old and the window refurbishment greatly improved the overall look of the house. The care the installers provided was just like they were working on their own house. When we decided to replace all 19 of our windows, we had already decided to call Ringer, who had done the windows in my brother's house, and my parents' house, with rave reviews from them. Georgia came out and gave us a quote for the windows plus a sliding patio door. Fast forward 11 months (pandemic, supply chain issues, a bit of a mix-up on Ringer's end), and our windows and door have been installed. During the time we were waiting, we got 2 letters from Ringer, explaining what was going on. Ringer makes their own windows, and they were working overtime, training new teams to do a quality job, waiting for glass orders to come in, etc. Greg Ringer responded to my emails, and eventually I ended up getting calls from Jake. Toward the end we were getting impatient and crabby, but let me tell you that the end result was so great that we are very happy. I'm pleased to be able to honestly write a good review. We were able to tell immediately that cold air is no longer coming in at the window and door frames. The panes of glass don't feel as cold to the touch. The dogs are a bit sad that the hot sun is no longer beating in for them to bask in! All of the windows are finished beautifully - great job fitting/caulking/sealing. Our house had a couple of oddities which the crew were able to take care of perfectly. We had some fake windows right in the front of our house, which had screens and curtains, backed by drywall. They were able to switch gears for a little while so I could go out and buy some blinds to replace the 40-some-year-old curtains that had been sealed inside. They installed the blinds for us. We have a bay window, and they had to replace all of the framing for that. The huge blind that covered the bay window was damaged, and they actually made new brackets to get it back up and functioning. Ringer took down all of our blinds and put them back up as they were working. Throughout the process, the crew put down moving blankets inside and outside to keep everything clean. They picked up all the trash. Only one or two panes of glass got broken when they were removing old windows, and all of that was cleaned up. Everyone was friendly, and communication was very good. It took 2.5 days to get all of our work done. There were only 2 tiny details that needed fixing, and they came out the very next day and took care of everything. The windows have a lifetime warranty as long as we live in our house, and if we ever sell the house, the new owners can get a 10-year warranty at no cost. Our Ringer windows were worth the wait. UPDATE: If there was a 4.5, I would choose that. Within a few hours of my initial review, I received a voicemail saying our windows would be completed tomorrow and someone will be calling to schedule the install. They began the 2 day installation on May 31 and completed on June 1. The install team and process was outstanding. We both work from home, and there was minimal disruption to our day. They do cleanup as they go from window to window and they were able to salvage 3 fairly new windows we had installed during a reno, so we can resell them. Also we are very pleased with the windows and happy we can now see through them. I would still like to suggest better communication during the long wait, as the proposed install date approaches, with a status update. Also a bit odd, there was no follow up call after the install to confirm satisfaction. The entire process was great, from the in-home sales rep to the quality windows and installation. I have heard very good things about Ringer's windows but currently communication and service are lacking. I will post a follow up after I see how the windows work after we do the measuring ourselves. I had to call 3 different times and remind Greg about having their team come out and measure the windows. They said they highly recommend a member of their team come measure the windows based on this quoted from one of the emails. "There are more than a few ways to handle Retrofit Windows and depending on how your installer does it, makes all the difference in how they are measured. If you choose to have us measure, we need to hook-up with your window guy at the time of measure and discuss the process. There are way too many chances for mistakes if we don't." Each time no one called me back and then recently I received an email from Greg stating they were too busy with bigger jobs but they would get to me when they had time. He also did not say when they would have time. I will update my review if things turn around with my experience at Ringer Windows but currently we are not feeling very well taken care of by a company that I assume likes to have word of mouth referrals. I shopped every window manufacturer and installer I could find (Pella, Marvin, Home Depot, Lowes, Renewal by Anderson) to name a few. The prices ranged from high to absurd. The slimy sales tactics used by some of these weasels ( Renewal by Anderson I'm looking at you!) were beyond belief, and I've been in the car business for over 30 years! RbA went from $63K to $35K in 20 minutes of "negotiating". Which was too bad because I really wanted their windows. Had they gotten to $30K I'd have written them a check. Thank goodness they didn't. Thirty days later I see our neighbor getting vinyl windows installed by Ringer Windows. She is a single mom, and her dad who is looking out for her is very fastidious, so it really piques my interest. Her install went great. The windows and sliding glass doors look terrific. The other online reviews are great. So my wife and I drive out to visit Ringer Windows factory in Taylor. We meet Greg Ringer who takes us through the build process, gives us...not so much a sales pitch...but an education, and we sign up on the spot. Now, this is November and they are so busy, plus with end of the year and holidays, that we can't get scheduled until the second week in February! Now, don't get me wrong...there was a ton of dust everywhere from them having to cut the concrete footing for two of the sliders with a saw, but that was the original home builders fault, not theirs. The windows I bought were the best ones they offer and the whole home was $18K installed, or about half what Renewal by Anderson offered. It was so inexpensive that I spent about 10% more to have laminated safety glass installed. Now not only is my house keeping the temperatures I set, it is SO quiet, and SO safe! I highly suggest this addition to your windows. The bottom line is that the product is good, the installation team I got was great, and the price was the best I could find. We went to several high-end hoity-toity showrooms/dealers in Austin when it came time to get new windows. None of them seemed interested in our "small" job of a mere 15 replacements. I had to call back and remind all of them to please give us a bid! They weren't exactly vying for our business. Fed up, we decided to make a drive out to the Ringer Window factory in Taylor. Greg Ringer--the owner--welcomed us into his office, sat down with us, and gave us all the time in the world. He answered all of our questions, showed us all the specifics, and gave us a bid on the spot. Ringer Windows is the real deal if you want good old-fashioned Texas-style service and professionalism. They have their own installers (not sub-contractors) that do a stellar job, AND they clean up as they go! Our house was left in pristine condition. These guys have the best product for the best price. Period. The garbage sold at the big box stores doesn't even begin to compare to the quality of window that Ringer sells. They have a huge inventory of white windows in stock as long as white is OK. I think they were about a week or so for other colors. I initially needed a single window for a quick replacement as my contractor had removed the window before asking if I had windows on order. With a big gaping hole in the wall I needed something immediately. I was driving through Taylor and called at 5:07PM and figured they were gone. A gentlemen by the name of Greg answered the phone and told met they were closed but come on by and he'd get me what I needed. Talk about A+ customer service! We've had our new Ringer windows for two and a half months now, so we're no longer blown away every time we walk into another room. The windows we replaced were nine 19 year old contractor grade single pane aluminum frame windows. Two of them were horizontal sliders and the rest were single hung. The five smallest were about 3' x 5' and the largest two were 6' x 5'. They leaked air. We sometimes got ants inside. When a cold front came through in the winter we might have to mop the windowsills with hand towels several times in one day because of all the condensation from the single panes and the aluminum frames. We'd fantasized about new windows for years, but I had to get on Medicare before we could think of actually doing it. Once we had a little cushion in the bank account I did some research and discovered that windows - really good vinyl ones - would only cost 2/3 of what I'd expected. We carefully rethought the window plan and decided on one big slider, one casement (bedroom egress), two custom single-hung, and five picture windows - to maximize our view. It may be that we spend more time looking out of our windows than many people do. We have a beautiful, rather jungly back yard, and we feed both birds and squirrels. After reading lots of reviews I got three estimates. Ringer's were right about where Titan's were, but Titan was giving us two tempered glass windows out of nine - Ringer was giving us seven! Triple coated! Plus I like supporting local companies. The initial sales person/estimator was personable and helpful, the installation manager (who remeasured everything) was full of additional information, and the installation crew were very precise. They tarped inside the house to minimize cleanup, and really kept the mess to a minimum. The installation looks beautiful, truly - both inside and out! I had worried about losing even an inch of windowsill space with the new windows (the units are a lot deeper than single pane aluminum) - because we display a lot of things in those spaces in the kitchen and dining room. But since the new glass is set at the OUTSIDE of the vinyl frames we actually have more space for our plants' foliage to spread out than with the old windows. So we are tickled to death with our new windows, and I can't thank the staff and craftspeople at Ringer enough. Their product has improved the quality of our lives substantially, and that's important to us retired folks. I can hardly wait until our cash flow has recovered enough to finish the job - we still have five old windows (the ones on two sides of the house that we don't look out of so much) which we plan to replace as well. Regrettably, and despite having the most expensive glass installed in the bedrooms, that was definitely not the case. The functionality and cosmetic appearance is fine but when they installed the windows the gap between the window and the structure appeared to be too big. This was brought to their attention yet nothing has been done or house-call to see and HEAR first hand, our issue - so much for Customer service and using Local business. This incident also brings into question their warranty. Not at all happy. read more

From start to finish, our experience with Ringer Windows has been exceptional. I appreciated Greg Ringer coming out and visiting with me when I began the process of getting bids on windows. No "hard sales" pitch...just a very casual conversation with Greg informing, advising and suggesting in a very easy-going manner. His installation manager Jake was no less pleasant and helpful, thoughtful and informative. I was thrilled that I was able to change the sash height on several different windows without extra charge so that we can see out onto our deck and tree-filled yard. I'm happy to say now that the job is done, the windows look absolutely fabulous and that we can already tell how much insulation they are providing. The heat we used to feel in the dining room from the big bay window is now nonexistent. The noise level (or lack thereof) is almost too great to believe...no barking dogs...no beat from the bass of a passing car...no rattling windows when sound waves prove too much vibration for the glass to handle! And they look beautiful as well--the rooms all appear bigger, more lightened and almost too pretty to cover up! We are just extraordinarily pleased AND this is a LOCAL company! Also, Herman and his crew made it an easy installation. They arrived on time and got straight to work. They were all extraordinarily friendly and courteous, professional and helpful. They cleaned up everything just as promised, both inside and out. Herman explained and showed me how the windows worked with some tips for not banging my head or dropping the window! I was really impressed with how thoughtful and just what a nice guy he is! Ringer Windows has a very professional team of installers who take the time to do an A+ job and who also seem to take pride in their work. And it was all accomplished in a day. We are very happy with our Ringer Windows! Georgia, our sales person, was very helpful and patient with us as we worked to find a design that was just right. Visiting their show room was really helpful. Once we saw their options, we found a window for our master bathroom that both obscured the view outside and complimented our design so we now have more natural light in our master bathroom. The windows are really good quality and make our house look more clean and modern. The installers were also excellent and were done in a single day. They also helped us fix an exterior door that had been needing some work for months. We are very happy with our choice of Ringer Windows - good quality and product. read more

Excellent sales (educational!) presentation with no pressure and experienced installation team made all the difference, not to mention the appearance and functionality of the new windows! We contacted Ringer based on their stellar reviews and therefore, wish to add ours. Our salesperson was Georgia. The installation team is Ringer's own, not subs. Their experience was evident. They were courteous, arrived when they said they would and left their work spaces better than they found them. Installation was scheduled at our convenience.
