I can't find another glass company that will reinstall the glass correctly, so at the moment I'm left with crooked, unsealed glass for my new shower. They also cracked a tile, so the glass had to be removed, the tile repaired, then glass reinstalled. Before the full install, they had a piece of glass that didn't fit and had to reorder. I was told this was the fault of the glass production company they use.

Don't recommend. When I placed my order over the phone, I gave exact dimensions of the glass I…read moreneeded cut and told them it was for a cabinet door. I had no idea there were different thicknesses of glass. They charged me close to $100 and gave me a sheet that was 3/8" thick. This was way too thick for a cabinet door and had to return it to get one at 1/8" thick. They quickly cut the right piece, but I inquired about a partial refund, as I paid a high price for 3/8", unknowingly, and the 1/8" should be much cheaper. When I inquired about that when I picked it up, I was told they'd look into it and call me back. Several days passed with no contact, so I called them back and spoke to the salesperson. The person that took my order lied and said I requested 3/8" initially (which I couldn't have, as I didn't know glass thicknesses). She then said she'd research a refund and call me back. Another few days passed with no contact. I called again and spoke to someone who again said they'd research it and call me back. A week later and still no contact. I'm giving up on it now and calling it a loss. But I'll never use them again. Good product when they get it right, but horrible customer service and zero follow-through. Very unprofessional.

Called several companies. one wanted a 175 dollar deposit just to show up. I by chance called The Glass Guru North, their operator was very polite and told me to hang tight, they would send someone shortly, nothing down, they wanted to take a look. Justin Hartgrove, the general Mngr came by, took a look at the problem, fixed it then fixed my sliding porch screen which has not been working for years. I asked how much did I owe him and he responded -" nothing, hardly any work at all." I demanded to pay him for his time and expertise and he accepted, quite frankly, too little. Should have payed him more. I am a retired businessman from Austin. My main point of contact was Cassie who I found to be friendly and easy to talk to. Even the guys that did the actual installs were freidnly, easy to work with and flexible with times. I had no problems in terms of customer service. However, after about a year some of the panes started fogging up, Cassie had them replaced for free under warranty. Then several more and once again they were replaced for free under warranty. As of now (2.5 years later) I have some 14 panes that are completely fogged up, unfortunately it looks like Affordable Screens and Glass has gone out of business. What sucks is I replaced a lot of panes because they were showing the initial signs of leaking (these are 20 year old panes), what I have now is significantly worse looking and did not even last 3 years.

I am updating the review to respond to the business's calculated misrepresentation of the facts and…read morean attempt to minimize severe, documented building code violations. For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The video proof of punctured plumbing remain on this review.
