First of all. He was very pleasant. We didn't feel the least bit self conscious having him in the house, even when our dogs were being crazy. Second, he did a fantastic job on the sink and it was not simple. He replaced a 6 inch deep two basin sink with regular faucets with a new single basin 9 inches deep. He put a touchless faucet on there, and redid the pipes underneath to accommodate the old garbage disposal. All of this cost less than 2X what I had been quoted for the outside faucet replacement alone by my plumbing maintenance company.

After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. Please see this complaint in the BBB by some one else. (https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/canyon-lake/profile/doors/door-services-of-texas-0825-1000237233/complaints). Be careful with this company.

The previous contractor had left it with visible drywall screws wide exposed cuts, etc. It looked terrible. After panicking because our countertops were scheduled for installation and looking through Jasons Yelp photos, we knew we needed to get on Jason's schedule. He books out sometimes 3 weeks, and this was last minute. We ended up delaying our countertop installation by 3 weeks in order to have him do the work. Waiting for Jason to do the work was 100% worth having a plywood island top for those 3 weeks. He showed up on time and got right to work. His cuts are precise, and the extension he built looks like it's always been there. We ended up hiring him to extend our kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling and add crown molding to it, as well as add trim pieces to our cabinets' blank sides before we had them painted. We also hired him to modify and install a wood hood over our stove top. Everything came out perfectly. We are more than impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. This guy is a professional and the best kind. There was not one bad surprise with him. He even gave me some tips, as I was filling the cabinet handle holes prior to getting them painted. They came out perfectly. Thanks, Jason!

Long review, but worth the read…read more The first job was amazing. Buck Bower showed up and delivered. We scheduled two to three appointments, with maybe one reschedule, and he communicated with us the entire time. He was professional, informative, and polite. He gave my daughters Jesus figurines and invited us to a church when we asked about one. However, the second job--a water heater installation--was the complete opposite experience. Buck set up a payment option after we told him we wanted to wait. He presented an option through his wife that seemed promising, almost as if he were doing us a favor, saying it was "for my girls, my wife, and my baby on the way." Because he had done such an outstanding job on our AC, and because the arrangement was similar (pay for the parts upfront and the labor afterward through a payment plan), we thought nothing of it. After a few missed appointments--the first three to four over the course of about three weeks, each with a different reason--and after not hearing from him for a while, I reached out for an update. He informed us that he had been hospitalized and had almost lost a leg due to an injury sustained on a job. We felt terrible, prayed for him, and understood. He scheduled another appointment, but over the course of the next month, he continued scheduling appointment after appointment without showing up. I constantly had to leave work, skip lunch, and even use time off to leave early so I could meet him, yet he never showed up to a single appointment. Most of the time, I would not receive a text until minutes before the appointment, hours afterward, or sometimes even a day later. I have proof of this. It was almost always me initiating contact around scheduled appointment times. He was a no-show every single time, sometimes even after rescheduling for later the same day. After what felt like 10 or 11 appointments--possibly more, as I eventually stopped counting--I realized this was not normal. I lost faith in his words because, regardless of what he said, he simply never showed up. One of the last appointments stands out. He asked us to make a monthly payment early and guaranteed that he would come if we did. He scheduled an appointment for that morning, but when I called him, he said he was at an event more than an hour and a half away because he wanted to see his father. Once again, I overlooked the fact that he had disregarded his promise to show up if we paid more upfront. He rescheduled for later that same day. When I called again after not hearing anything close to the appointment time, he informed me--just minutes before the appointment--that he had been in a car accident. At that point, I no longer believed him. Even so, he scheduled another appointment, and I wanted to believe he was a good person, so I gave him another chance. When I called again, this time he said he was working on replacing the alternator in his vehicle. Once again, nothing had been communicated in advance. I felt burned and betrayed. Even though he continued promising more appointments, I knew he would never show up. I eventually looked him up and found that similar complaints had existed for years. Whether you know him as Buck Bower, Buck Verdon Bower, or Buck Vernon Bower, keep this experience in mind. The business names may have changed, but the underlying problem appears to have remained the same. He genuinely seemed kind and sincere until this job began. If everything he said he went through is true, I sincerely pray that he finds success and stability. However, this has still been one of the worst experiences our family has ever had with a contractor. Here is some proof: even after two months of being dragged around, I still wanted to believe in the guy I met, against my wife's judgment and the insurance company's recommendations. I have so much more, but out of respect and legal reasons I will keep that private for now. But I kept putting my heart out there; this one hurt.

We needed a complete over-haul incorporating the kitchen with the dining room. They reconfigured walls, moved the sink, installed a new window and new door. They replaced the cabinets and installed a beautiful quartz countertop and backsplash. We ended up having them resurface and paint the living room walls since the kitchen walls looked so good (we went from textured to flat). There were carpenters, plumbers, electricians, an amazing sheetrock team and other specialists that helped with everything. All of the professionals that did work, did everything according to code and I'm happy with the end result and quality of work inside and out. Communication throughout the entire process was always constant (we had a text thread going that we could reply to anytime). They planned out the order of work and explained everything I wanted to know more about. They helped refine our design and were open to suggestions to help me make better decisions and get the results I wanted. I'm happy with how everything turned out and I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone looking to update their house.
