I have a very old, and not well made home and have waited a very long time to finally update my windows, doors, and siding. I called four vendors to get quotes. Sears, Lowes, Austin Pro Windows and Siding, and Texas Windows and Siding. Sears and Lowes were not very responsive and when I was able to get them out for a quote, they didn't seem very interested in doing the job. When I finally did get their quotes, the cost was more than TWS. Austin Pro was very responsive and professional, however, their cost to was also much more. I submitted a request to TWS via the Yelp app and got a response back in record time from Paul. He set up a convenient time for me to meet with Glen to get a quote. Glen showed up on time after hours and discussed all of my options regarding new windows, doors, and siding with paint. Do you ever meet someone and just get that feeling that they are "good people" and then worry that your feeling is going to let you down? Well, that is how it was like meeting with Glen. He is very professional and genuinely wants to help people. I had a set budget for this project and instead of trying to sell me on going over my budget, he worked with me to discuss exactly what I wanted out of this project and let me know it would be tight but doable. And when we found out that part of the house was missing insulation, he called me right away to discuss how to best address the issue and what the additional cost would be. I have to agree with the other reviews, both crews were amazing. The window and doors guys (Chuck's group) replaced 11 windows in one day. And they must have been Girl Scouts, because they left my house much cleaner than they found it. Chuck is a perfectionist and even though replacing the doors on my house is like putting lipstick a pig, he and his crew made sure both doors and trim were perfectly installed. The siding crew was just as top notch. Everyday, they cleaned up and Glen let me know what to except throughout the project. Did I mention that I was at work for most of the siding project? It was kind of awesome, everyday I saw amazing progress. It was like Christmas everyday. Two thumbs up for Gleb and his crews. Or five stars . They deserve both. I've been looking for a total window replacement for 6 months. After obtaining 4 bids with a lead time of one-plus month, I made the decision to go with Texas Windows & Siding. Once I got on the books and had an install date, we had heavy rains and flooding here in Austin which canceled my initial install. Glen was able to get me rescheduled within 4 days! When the project manager arrived, he introduced me to the folks that would be in and out of my home. He was polite, courteous, and explained the full scope of the project. They added trim to the exterior of the window for a flush finish, painted the new wood, corrected sheetrock distortion around a window that had a water damage. The sheetrock/texture job on the master bedroom window was absolutely perfect. The backyard was a muddy mess and everything was still saturated from the rains. We spent several years talking to different window companies about replacing our windows. We spoke with Renewal by Andersen (great windows, very high price), Pella, Home Depot, Energy One, LEI. We decided to go with Texas Windows and Siding because of the price and knowledge of the salesman regarding the windows. The windows we got Simonton Prism Platinum have made a huge difference in the temperature of our rooms. The installation was quick and the guys cleaned up after themselves as they went along. We had some damage to the hardi-board in the back of the house but Texas Windows and Siding replaced it all as detailed in the contract and did so in a timely manner. read more

I would defiantly recommend using this company. We had a large job that involved a lot of windows, some of which we wanted to change the size and make smaller, new French doors and also have the siding replaced at the same time. We got several other quotes for both jobs individually, but couldn't find anyone company who could organize themselves to do both jobs at the same time. Saw an ad. for Texas windows & siding in the local newspaper and as they were really close to where we live I thought I'd try them. I am so glad we did!! Glen came round and after talking to him for an hour we knew we had got the right guys. He was professional, informative and willing to accommodate all the changes we wanted. Even better they could do the 2 jobs consecutively so we didn't have any holes in our walls where the windows were made smaller. Our house was built in the 80's and while quaint, not exactly full of the 'wow' factor on the outside. Some of our windows were dying and the original front wood siding was beginning to rot; we needed a company we felt comfortable with, could rely upon doing a quality job AND willing to work with me to change our front elevation to a Craftsman inspired design. Finding Glenn and TWS was a pure blessing!! Even being in South Austin was no problem for them. Their price was superb (of 3 bids), Glen was always in contact and following up, never hard to get hold of, and helped me chase down the elusive painted window options with the manufacturer (I wanted red/brick exterior windows). Scheduling for each phase was locked down to start on a specific day, and all crews arrived promptly. For each crew a project manager reviewed everything with me before anything started. The crew members - whenever they had a question about something always checked with me first vs making an assumption and doing something wrong. The window crew was very fast (7 windows in 1 day), courteous, and very considerate of my interiors (laid plastic where they worked and took shoes off). The siding crew was also fast and ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! They were meticulous on their approach to lay all siding on a true a level (on a house that was not built to true level), and diligent on ensuring everything was done right or it was redone.
