Sleazy, Insulting, Complete Waste of Time This review only reflects their sales, as I would NEVER allow a company that treated me like this to touch anything in my home. ASAP was the fourth company I had come to my house to measure and give me an estimate. All the other companies spent about 30 minutes, measured, listened to what I wanted and gave me information followed by a quote later in the week (see SOCO and Martel for some excellent customer service). Charles, from ASAP, spent 2.5 hours in my house giving me a hard sell, insulting my intelligence in the process. Here are the highlights since I know that no one wants to read an angry rant: -spent about 20 minutes measuring the windows and talking to me about what I want. -went out to his car to get a sample and then came back with a presentation that took about 75 minutes where he managed to insult every other company I had gotten quotes from (I think it's shady business practice to even ask what the other companies quoted, much less bad mouth them). He also felt the need to bad mouth other brands and styles of windows and then ask me, like I'm an idiot, if that style of window was still an option. -when I asked him questions about the installation and problems with egress he gave me shady, incomplete answers. He then told me incorrect information about egress (I had looked up the law earlier that day and went back to check the information after). -he then did the hard sell on Jeld Wen wood windows. They were very nice, but I didn't need a 45 minute demonstration on all the features. He did a demo (which I told him I had already seen at a showroom) of the heat transfer through the window during which he treated my like a child, questioning my ability to feel heat and laughing at his own jokes. -in the end he gave me a quote, after I had told him multiple times that I was fairly confident this was out of my budget. He completely refused to quote me on anything else, including what I specifically wanted. -he then proceeded to slowly drop the price, give me random discounts if I agreed to sign that day, offer to call his boss to get further discounts. . . etc (see used car salesman). He even told me I could do half the windows or take out a second mortgage to buy his windows. . . really?? If a price is good on Friday night, it should still be good on Monday morning. In the end, Charles left telling me that he was going to send me the quote via an email, he never did. I got the impression that if I wasn't going to buy that night, then it was a no go for him. I was very disappointed with this experience. I felt dirty having invited someone like this into my house, like it was an invasion. He could have spent 30 minutes, actually listened to me, and saved me my entire evening. ASAP may want to consider a new sales strategy. With the invention of the interwebs, people can do research and take time making decisions. I can't imagine these sort of hard sales tactics working on anyone. read more

I had ASAP come to my home in June to replace all of the windows and a sliding door in my duplex. My new windows are awesome. My old windows didn't hold in the temp of the house and you could hear everything that went on outside. Thanks to our new windows I don't have to hear kids skateboarding down the road. If you talk with ASAP Windows & Siding, be prepared for a hard sell. This review only reflects the process of sizing and getting a quote for work to be done. I plan to replace my whole home windows, so I call a few companies for quotes. ASAP is the first on the list. Their representative shows up directly on time, 10:00 AM. We measure around the house, and he is giving me the sale the whole way: "Vinyl windows are bad, they don't last long, don't go with another company's vinyl, ours are different" and that sort of thing. At this stage, I haven't necessarily decided upon a window style, so I appreciate his salesman opinions. Measuring the windows doesn't take too long, but then we sit at my table and he spends 45+ minutes giving me the pitch. I don't doubt that his company is different, but everyone's company is different. Give me a few quick hitters and move on. I trust you when you say you are insured, I don't need to see your insurance statement. Then comes the demonstration, where he goes to the car and pulls in his mobile window to show how much better their windows are. Neat, but unnecessary, as any high quality window will perform about the same. So he takes 5 minutes to put the windows into his computer and pulls up an estimation, "ok so when can we order the windows." I still have 3 other highly regarded companies scheduled to come by, I'm not going to sign with your company right away. He turned very cold when he realized I wasn't going to sign up just then, said, "if I leave you will lose this discount", and spent another 10 minutes trying to convince me to do financing through their company. So the hard sell turned me off of ASAP. He would have saved us both a lot of time if he had taken the measurements, invited me out to show me window samples (or to their show-room), and emailed me a quote. I don't know if I'll eventually choose ASAP to do my work in the end, but I know they're already starting at the bottom of my list. read more

While we didn't go with them when we purchased our windows, they did an amazing job explaining us their options and telling us what to look for when purchasing windows. They were by far the least pushiest of the window companies that came out, but their price was a bit too high for our needs. In addition, I tried to follow up with some questions and I never heard back from them (which was disappointing since they were #2 on our list even with the higher price) so we ended up not picking them. After visiting the small showroom, it took over a week to talk to a sales person, who a week later came out to measure and pitch the work. However, that was the last I heard. Even after leaving messages and getting promises of an estimate...I never heard from them again. I suspect that my $10k+window replacement was too small for them to bother with. We used ASAP to replace all the siding around our house. While the overall work and quality I would rate at 5 stars, I'm giving them 4 stars because I feel like the the communication should be improved. Not just between them and the customer but between them and there crews. Examples for both: I would ask several questions to which the response would be, "that's not something i usually deal in, I'll find the answer within the hour though." Which is a very respectable answer. But sadly, I would never hear back from them. Also, when installing the siding and trim the crew ran out of trim. Two weeks later and a few calls to project lead they finally finish. Which wouldn't have been a huge deal, except every time i called to inquire about it, they basically said, "huh. They should have finished that already. I'll check it out" with no return calls, only to show up one day and the work be done. Again, overall QUALITY of work? 5 stars. Sal, the guy who came out for the initial quote, very personable, non pushy, and worked with us to get a financing plan within our budget since we had a lot of other remodeling projects going on as well. The one star deduction is simply due to a lack of communication that we encountered during our experience with them. Everything did get done though and looks great now. read more

Would you like to have your windows improperly installed, pieces of broken glass throughout your home and your yard for weeks after the work is complete, then by all means call ASAP Windows? You can also experience their salesman telling you he will be your project manager and then never hearing from him again. A very polite gentleman will measure your windows from the inside only, resulting in windows that are at least 1" too small. Because the windows are too small you can then enjoy ugly 1/2" - 5/8" caulking around all four sides of the windows, as well as smeared on the window stops. At this point, I will recommend you call someone in charge at ASAP Windows who will tell you the guy installing your windows is very qualified to be handling your project and knows exactly what to do. As you come to realize the installer is a nice guy, but in way over his head, you will want to call that "someone in charge" again and have him come into your home sharing his best verbal bullying skills with you. By the way, contrary to what you were told by the first two ASAP people, your installer will tell you he is "only working for ASAP while my regular work is slow". In the construction industry this is known as "tailgating" and what your salesman creatively referred to as "chuck in a truck" when he mentioned Lowe's or Home Depot's replacement window installation process. The "guy in charge" will offer to have his "guys" install 1/4" drywall inside the windows to remedy the poor quality work his "guys" did in the first place. Oh yes, if you think all the broken glass was a mess, try having drywall dust throughout your house for several days. If you've not already done so, I will advise you to call in your family members who have 150+ years of multi-million dollar construction experience and they will become your Project Manager. This will be the best decision you make if you value your home. Of course they will need to take off work for this. Now here is the deal, the "guy in charge" will bully you into doing all your own painting inside the house....every room. He will make this recommendation "because he feels sure you will not be satisfied with the work of his "guys". Later, when asking him to take $910 off a $15,000 bill, he will share with you that "he" had to spend another $800 for the drywall work around the windows, which he considered was unnecessary in your home. He will also equate this to your asking him for a $1,700 "discount". Obviously he's a great bully and I wanted them out of my house so bad, I fell for it. I'm still painting. Be sure to read the manufacturer's installation instructions that come with your windows (the ASAP team will not follow the manufacturer's instructions). The manufacturer recommends the windows are installed in the manner you asked for in the first place, with your long gone salesman. The same process you also discussed with the polite man who measured the windows and with the installer and again with the "guy in charge". ASAP Windows definitely holds up the sleazy reputation of the replacement window industry. They have absolutely no respect for the homeowner and doing the work correctly. read more

CAVEAT EMPTOR!! We had a broken window on one sash of a 3 sash window. The overall frame size is 107 x 70. JELD WEN window. Jesse claimed that sash itself could not be replaced, that the whole window needed to be replaced at a cost of $5,095.84. As I suspected initially, it turns out he lied. Sash replaced by legitimate and honest contract at a cost of $517!! There were positives and negatives in my experience with ASAP, but I am rating them a 1 because of the way in which they handled the negatives. They did a very large window/sliding glass door installation in my home before I moved in. Because I was out of the country, I wasn't able to inspect the job until after it was over. When I saw my house, it was a huge mess, with hand and foot prints all over my freshly painted walls, doors and even things like toilets. The finishing touches were AWFUL, with uneven lines of caulking so bad that it looked like my 5 year old had done the work; uneven texturing and painting where they had to do basic remodel as they took out and put in new windows; and such poorly sealed windows that during a rain storm, I woke up to water ALL OVER my floors. There were scratches and dents in the new doors and windows and a rip in one of the new screens. Some of the windows were fit so that they would not swing open for cleaning. The salesperson/project manager at first insisted that they were not responsible for these problems, repeating that I had a handyman in the house that could have caused the damage (or that the rain leaked in because I hadn't locked the windows). When he realized there was no logic in any of his arguments (and after I pointed out my handyman had actually been on bedrest since ASAP had started the job), he admitted it was his crew. Despite that, I had to fight for a $500 compensation of what I would estimate was at least double that in damage control. Every day, I continue to find damage that I have to ask my handyman to repair, at my own cost. In the end, the project manager said that even though all these problems were unfortunate for me, he was happy that because of the problems in my installation, he could learn more about what his crew needed to improve. In other words, although he said it quite nicely, he was totally fine with the conclusion "good for me, bad for you." For the amount of money I spent on this job, this type of service is beyond unbelievable and unacceptable. read more

Recently had our siding replaced and doors painted. After narrowing our choices down to three, we decided to go with Accolade Exteriors. One of the best decisions we've ever made for our home improvement. All starts at the top and Stuart (Accolade owner) is one of the most straightforward and honest people I've ever met. He went above and beyond in helping us resolve an issue we were encountering with a neighbor. Extremely customer driven, professional and beyond fair. Stuart is first and foremost a really good person. That leadership permeates throughout the entire Accolade Team. Steve Williams was the overall Team Leader and assembled a fantastic crew who would do the day-to-day job. Steve was always available to visit with me and gave me valuable advice, as well. Steve is a tremendous asset to the Team. Jason was the crew chief and he was extremely knowledgeable and communicative throughout the project. Jason's demeanor was off the charts good and his workmanship was exactly what I expected to receive. Jason's Team of Daniel and Frank were fantastic! They work hard and they work smart. Very appreciative of all their efforts. Finally, Marcos and Daniel did an outstanding job on all the calking and painting. Mike and the team from ASAP did a very good job and were great to work with. I had some specific requirements regarding the windows I wanted. Every company I called on Angie's list was interested in selling me the windows they had in stock or got deals on through their distributors. 20 + companies that bid on the work, none were willing to provide technical specs or provide follow-up information after the initial bid. Mike took the time to work with the mfg and me making the process as transparent as possible to ensure my requirements were met. There was a small problem with the final product delivered and Mike demonstrated his integrity by honoring our original arrangement . This is a real customer review FYI. DO NOT use this company for hardi plank siding. Needed hardi replaced on back house and quote was nice and signed contract to do work at reasonable price in Temple. They sub contract fyi. After paying half down, heard nothing. Had to harass to get appointment to start job. Crew shows up looks like picked off of street. I ended up firing the crew my self after they broke my exterior light out of house, left bulbs in my yard and trash in my/neighbor's yard, got paint on my brick and house, played loud music and ignored my request to do job right. They CANNOT for life hardi wrap a house im telling you. It was horrendous, tears, rips, exposed word and several times attempted to cover mold found around a window three times when I said to remove the OSB board. Oh, and fyi make sure whatever they say they gonna do is in contract because they tried to get 500$ from me by saying that wood and osb are different. We knew chimney was rotted because no wrap was on the house originally and said during quote that the everything will be flashed and wood on chimney replaced. They don't flash windows, after 5 times of telling them they used seam tape around windows. What should have been a job to water proof, flash and wrap house they failed and kept ignoring me and disrespecting me. Wasn't until I started going legal routes after I fired the crew for covering mold on my house for the fifth time. If I had not been there they would have covered it and my house would have been a mold nest. Had to call hardi company to get installation guidelines. They called the company after I complained to them. They fired that crew finally and sent a new crew. They were better but again they don't communication. Tried to finish previous crew's job and I said no to redo it. They tried to do shortcuts and still were not effective house wrapers or flashers. I had to buy flashing for my windows. Then they used non contract cheap house wrap, found ways to cut corners etc. What should have been a 4 day job turned into a 5 month nightmare. They destroyed my property with paint, are misleading in what they do, do not communicate at all and do not listen to the home owners. Still never finished caulking my end hardi planks where brick meet but I was so ready for them to be gone. Crew did not show up for job several times, you are your own on site contractor and they don't care. The actual hardi job was fine. Its the most important part the wrap, flashing, sealing and ensuring a a dry house they failed at and the communication even worse. Tried to tell me they don't use day workers after telling me the head guy didn't want to use day workers on my job when the crew did not show up. You don't say that unless you've used them before. I can't trust contractors after this. Irony is I got this company of hardi website reccomended contractor. Don't use them Im telling you read more

Charles Humphries did a great job with his team. They did siding, trims, and overhangs. From signing the contract to beginning the installation took 4 months, which could have been shortened with proper communication, but was handled with an apology at the end. Those who work with this company might need to be patience, as I had been lectured and yelled at a couple times, but after the apology, they took care of me and the house, and everything looks great! read more

I had been researching replacement windows for my house for the past three years. I got estimates ranging from $5,000 to $27,000 during this process. First of all, I had been through a number of hard-sell demonstrations before ASAP came out and that completely turned me off. Unlike one of the reviewers here, I had just the opposite experience. I really liked the idea that ASAP could sell me several kinds of windows, meaning that I could go to their showroom and see several kinds side by side. Their rep showed up on time and brought me all of the information that I needed to make an informed decision. There was no negative talk against the competition, which was NOT the case with other reps. I told him that I wanted to come see the windows in his showroom before I made a decision and he was totally okay with that and never made me feel pressured. When I decided to go with ASAP, the installation date was scheduled. A few days later, I got a call from the office saying that it would have to be postponed almost a month. The installers showed up at my house at the appointed time and did a very professional job - one of the most professional I've seen - and were courteous, explained what they would be doing as it went along and cleaned up after themselves. The only problem I had was that most of the window screens did not arrive with the windows. I was told that I would get the screens before the end of the week. The ONLY reason I am not giving ASAP 5 stars is because it took 6 weeks and quite a few phone calls to finally get the screens. Overall, however, the price was in line with my budget and my windows are not only beautiful, but have already reduced my utility bills. read more

I hired ASAP to basically "renew" the exterior of my house... new Hardie siding, trim, paint and gutters. The finished product was beautiful. We received many compliments from neighbors. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was done on our house. And if you knew how picky I was then you would understand how big of a compliment this is. Having your house basically demolished on the outside is quite stressful. The work was completed fast, and yet, I never felt it was rushed. It was comforting to see the quality of work being done and that the workers were very knowledgeable about what they were doing. The job was completed in only a few days with daily maintenance done in cleanup. I was comfortable asking questions of the crew and found them to be very professional and polite. The project manager was very responsive, provided years of experienced input, and accommodated minor changes or requests. I would highly recommend ASAP. read more

So my review starts with the best daughter in the world. Not only did she introduce me to the incredibly useful Yelp website(funny name, but very informative)she also referred me to the window company I am reviewing today. I began my window replacement project last year in May with Renewal By Andersen. I started with two large fixed picture windows in my kitchen. Six months and four windows later(the first two were mismeasured by the production manager) I had two very large, very expensive windows that leaked and looked crooked. Suffice it to say, I had a poor experience there and decided to look at other companies. That's when my daughter told me about the company that did her windows, ASAP windows and siding. I made one phone call to ASAP and haven't looked back since! My design consultant, Aaron, led me step by step through what went wrong with my Renewal windows, and then showed me what ASAP could do for me. With actual references I could call, photos of homes they had done, and a product catalog that actually afforded me a true choice in styles(unlike those RBA windows, one style, five colors, take it or leave it) I had them replace those same two windows again. The installers not only replaced the windows for me, but they also repaired the water damaged sheet rock, replaced the window sills, and repainted the trim! After that, and how much more reasonable the price is, I'm having the rest of the windows in my home replaced and my back door. There are simply not enough good things I can say about Aaron and his team over at ASAP windows and siding, make the call that should have been my first! read more

L.Knight We met Mike at one of the home shows and decided to contract them for new Hardy Plank siding and a new patio door. What we got wasn't the most professional workmanship. The door when fully closed has a 1 inch gap which runs from the top down about 18 inches. In addition to this the door lock broke off after being installed for around 2 months. Some of the siding has come loose and hanging down, along with a section which I had to reseal to prevent hornets from nesting in our attic. From the start of the job it was evident the crew performing the work were not professionals, the first three incidents (cut the phone and cable service entering the residence), (then shot a nail into our newly installed refrigerant system line, causing all the refrigerant to escape), (and the last fiasco to our property was to shoot a nail into the water line inside the walls) . We have made several attempts to contact Mike Novak all to no avail. So now we are loonto legal action to resolve our issues. read more
