He explained all of my options to me and explained the pros and cons of the different materials we could go with. He did not try to up-sell me on anything I didn't want and found a great product for a good price that worked within the budget I was looking for. When it was time to install the window Stuart's crew was fast, courteous, professional, and cleaned everything up perfectly. And I seriously love the window and the work they did. I know that's saying a lot about a window, but just take a look at the attached picture. I sit in this office about 60% of my life and that is being conservative. Now on beautiful days, instead of feeling stuck inside, I get to open two beautiful bay windows any time I want and let the world in. My wife and I will need new windows across the back of our house pretty soon, and I will not hesitate to call Stuart when the time comes.

We were referred to Toby at Accolade by a contractor we trusted. We wanted to replace double…read moredoors with a slider that fit the decor and style of the house. The slider from Pella ($6800) was supposed to be a custom size, but still fell short of the door height of the doors in the house. Toby convinced us that the slider from Pella would fit within an inch of the height of our other doors. Installation was a mess. They used small drop cloths. We had dust everywhere. After installation, the door was over 3" short of expectations; a difference that you can't "unsee". The installers left without checking with us. The lock was installed upside down and would not work. We immediately brought this to Toby's attention telling him the door, as installed, was unacceptable. We wanted the slider removed. Toby and Accolade refused stating that we ordered a custom door and that we owned it. Follow door up suppliers measured the door and referred to it as "stock". Accolade did refund us the additional $1400 installation fee, but they stuck us with the $6800 cost of the door. We contacted Pella and they sided with Accolade. Everything was OK, until it wasn't. Watch your back.

Home Depot quoted me $24505.37 for Andersen 100 (Fibrex) single hung windows. Infinity Replacement by Marvin quoted $50.8K. Who wants Andersen 100 (Fibrex) when you can buy top of the line Marvin windows from Showroom Windows? I paid $30170 at Showroom Windows for Marvin Essential (fiberglass) single hung, picture, and casement, Marvin Elevate (wood) double hung with brass hardware at no extra cost, and Marvin Ultimate Wood picture. Wilco Windows alleged that Marvin Essential is "at least twice as much as the Pella Impervia". Hogwash. It's twice as much at Wilco Windows because they are not an authorized Marvin dealer. Showroom Windows is the ONLY AUTHORIZED MARVIN dealer in Austin, aside from Infinity Replacement. Be sure to have 50% check or cash ready if you want the lowest price. The first crew led by James S. did a decent job but left foam marks on my window frames and walls, and broke off a piece of my window sill leaving it uneven. James S. no longer works for Showroom Windows. The second guy, Jody S., left a lumpy caulk line, did not bring any liquid remover to wipe all the foam marks off from James S.'s work, and did not clean my window because his son took his paper towels that morning. The service technician they sent out to clean up everybody else's mess was Billy D. He is the the only technician with attention to detail and the only one I would work with in the future for my remaining master bathroom window when I am ready to remodel. He's the guy they send out when customers are unhappy. Showroom Windows offers white glove service by Billy! Lowes and Home Depot do not offer white glove service.

So obviously I love this house & wanted the absolute best for it, as it will be a multigenerational home. The first round of windows, I needed 8 windows for the newly renovated second story. I KNEW I wanted Marvin windows. Based on all of the research and reviews, Marvin made a window that would outlive me, and that's what I wanted. I mean they are an investment. My first Marvin dealer gave me a high number that I wasn't stoked about, but okay, they're amazing windows. The thing that got me shopping for my second dealer, was that the first dealer wanted signed permission from my husband to purchase windows.....CASH. As much as I love that man, I don't have time for that. He works hitches, I run the ranch. My second dealer was in the same ballpark on money, but they also wanted signed permission from a man who did not want to be involved. At this point, I had not even been able to lay hands on a Marvin window because neither dealer had a storefront, they wanted a signature from a man who was away at work and I was left with holes in my house where windows should be. So again, off I went to the third dealer. When I arrived at Showroom Windows, you wouldn't believe it, but they had a SHOWROOM! I could finally lay hands on a Marvin window, a Pella and even an Anderson! And do you know what happened next? Those nice people took my cash and ordered my windows for me, even without my husband's permission. It was so refreshing to be treated like an adult and the price, the price was way under what others had quoted me. I have been so happy with the staff at Showroom Windows, that I ordered my second set of windows and just had them installed today. In fact, until this entire renovation is complete, I will continue to order my windows from them. Even if it requires a drive, I'm close to Waco, the level of care you receive as a customer is top tier. As for the actual windows. I wanted an unobstructed view from the second story, so where the distance was high enough from floor to window, I went with casements. HOWEVER, it was not uncommon, read daily, for that house to experience high winds and I needed a window that would not rattle, flap, or break should future generations leave a window open. They have been left open a lot and are absolutely rock solid. Plus the view is amazing. In the eaves, we did double hung, as they were only inches from the floor and it was imperative that I had a window that could be dropped from the top and lock. Even though my kids are grown, looking out for the well being of my future grands was a top priority. Marvin absolutely delivered on beauty and safety.

Our breakfast nook and kitchen were made almost unlivable by the amount of heat that our old windows let in. We have had many mid to high 90 degree days since our new windows were installed, and our breakfast nook and kitchen have become our favorite places to be, as our Window World windows keep all that heat out completely. Our entire house stays much cooler now. Braden, our salesperson, was extremely professional and not high pressure at all!! Unlike some sales people, he understands all technical details of the windows, and the process of installing them. He used to be a window installer himself, and it really shows. He took very, very accurate measurements, so all our 55 windows fit perfectly when they arrived. As he looked at every window for the estimate, he explained what would need to happen for each one, such as caulking, masonry, etc. The price for all 55 of our windows was 1/2 the price of the 3 other companies we got quotes from. The quality, and look, of the windows is fantastic! After the installation was complete, Braden came by and looked at each window. He tested them for ease of raising and lowering them, as well as tilting them in and out. We found about 12-15 that were too tight, and he sent a crew over the next day to take care of them. They did a tremendous job of making them absolutely correct. I can't say enough positive things about the crew either. They arrived exactly when they said they would each day. Wes was our foreman, and did a good job of communicating with us on the first day. Bruce was the foreman-on-site of our job (was there every day), and he did a SUPERB job! He answered all the myriad of questions we had in a very professional and friendly manner. It took a 4-5 man crew 3 1/2 days to install all 55 windows. Bruce was very easy to communicate with. All the men on the crew were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Each crew member was very proficient and knew exactly what to do. The men got along very well with each other. It was a very happy crew. In my opinion, a happy crew does a good job. They had large tarps which kept the construction mess away from our carpets and furniture. Even with the tarps, they thoroughly vacuumed all the carpets and wiped down our belongings at the end of each day. They were very respectful and careful with our belongings. We were very impressed that WW's installation inspector came by twice just to be sure that things were being done properly, and to our satisfaction. We are extremely pleased with every aspect of our experience with Window World. It could not have been any better.

Derek sent out his friendly sales rep, Liz, in a timely manner. She was quick and thorough. The next step was a phone call from Dana, an exceptionally knowledgeable window installer. Dana set up a time to do an accurate measurement of the windows I was having replaced. The windows I have had installed by Texas Home and Commercial have greatly improved my home. They reduce noise while letting more light in. Derek's team worked efficiently and cleaned up as they went. I am having more windows done soon, and would not think of using any other company.

GreenTex Siding and Windows is a team of folks that want to get the job done right. Previous Review: Buyer Beware!!! These guys got the measurements wrong on a replacement door, and everything since then has been a nightmare!!! I sent emails asking about the measurements only to not get a response for over 2 weeks. Since the measurements were never confirmed between the person who took the measurements and the project manager, the wrong door was ordered. I have now been waiting with these folks for over 5 weeks for this door and it has ruined the timing and plans to move into our new place. I have had to make arrangements with my current rental for a month to month now - this door has created a whirlwind of a mess. To say that I'm upset about how unprofessional this whole experience has been would be an understatement. The amount of time wasted with this company has been one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever been part of. It has completely sucked out the joy of moving into our first new home. I would avoid these people like the plague!!! Find any other company in Austin to help you out as these folks will only throw you into a hole that only seems to go deeper. If they were willing to help cover the various expenses they have now created by not doing this correctly the first time, I may have a change in spirit. We never liked these, and it was time for a serious upgrade. After doing a lot of research we selected 3 candidate companies to explore and GreenTex was easily the one at the top of our list. We liked the fact that they are family owned and place a high value on integrity and honesty. Our first experience was with the sales consultant, Bill. Bill was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and address all our questions. There was no high pressure or rush to make a decision (unlike other companies!!) and he did everything he could to help us meet our budget objectives while maintaining a high standard of the final look & functionality of each window. We went with their vinyl offering and he walked us through all our options. In the end, we knew exactly what we would be getting, how they would operate, look, and enhance our home. Both my wife and I were really impressed with the company from that moment on and we signed up. Next up was our construction lead, Dave. Dave was super friendly and came out to take exact measurements of each window and re-reviewed everything with us to make sure that there were no questions left unanswered. During his time here, we decided to make a few tweaks to our selections and GreenTex accommodated us at every turn. Dave also explained the timetable and gave us a good estimate of what to expect as far as the actual install process was concerned. After this, the window order was submitted, and we sat back expectantly waiting for our installation. Several weeks later we were advised that the window order had been delivered to their warehouse and we agreed upon a start date. The morning of our install, the crew arrived on-time and got straight to work. It's always a bit nervous providing strangers with complete access to your house, but Damien, Azan, Colt & Andy were the best crew we could have hoped for. The quality of the windows is one thing, but the quality of the crew is equally important. They were professional, courteous, and maintained the high integrity that we entrusted to GreenTex from the beginning. These gents were exceptional from start to finish. The windows are great, but the workmanship of the install was superior. Side note... don't listen to the "F.U.D." from the big-name window companies; the removal and install was done perfectly. We have a lot of brick work and GreenTex never touched our bricks and replaced/resurfaced the mortar. The windows themselves exceeded our expectations. The build quality is amazing, and they operate smoothly and are consistent from one window to the next: no product variation. They also look fantastic both inside the house as well as from the curb. Our neighbors love the way our house looks and the new windows have raised the bar on curb appeal! Once they were finished, Dave followed back up with us. "Do not sign or submit the final payment until you have looked over everything and are 100% satisfied". They go out of their way to make sure you are happy from start to finish. Let's face it, having new windows installed is a significant investment. You want to make sure that everything is done right because you live with the results.
