Verbally agreed on 18 month no apr if paid in full for half of cost of windows. When we received bill from Synchrony bot loans at %9.9 which costing us more in actual interest than payment to loan. When they installed my windows, they damaged my property and have refused to repair the damage. I contacted the bank and they told me they were not responsible and that the local dealer was. When I contacted the dealer to tell them I wouldn't continue to pay until they repaired the damage they said that was fine with them. It wasn't until I called the bank today that I found out they do not take any responsibility for any damages and I still need to pay the remainder of the bill. read more

Performance Windows came to my home in Utah, offering what they called an "advertising discount." Their pitch was that instead of spending money on social media or TV ads, they would offer a discount to homeowners in exchange for placing a sign in their yard, monitoring their electric bill for a year, and asking them not to share the details of the deal. During the visit, the salesperson Caleb and I actually geeked out over the science of efficient windows, which I appreciated. But compared to my second estimate, Caleb never showed me how efficient their windows really were, not even a link to their brochure. Everything was on his table as a presentation. The other company let us physically feel the difference in heat transfer (or lack thereof), which was far more convincing. What I didn't expect was that Performance Windows also pulled my credit and opened a Synchrony credit card during the same visit, which felt pushy and uncomfortable. The "discount" itself turned out to be underwhelming. After conducting my own research and contacting another company, I was shocked to find a $50,000 difference (without the discount) in pricing for the same Alside windows and sliding doors. Even with their so-called advertising discount, Performance Windows was still about $12,000 higher than the competitor's quote that included installation and labor costs. This could have been a 2-star review based on the lack of transparency and weak demonstration, but the deception and pressure to close a sale left a bad taste. If I could give Performance Windows zero stars, I would. As clearly shown in the photos, my door is prominently marked with three "No Soliciting" signs. Despite this, the individual ignored all of them and rang my doorbell, causing my dogs to bark loudly and disrupting my workday. I am self-employed and work from home, where I handle ongoing phone calls with patients, insurance companies, and physicians. The signage is in place specifically to prevent these types of interruptions. When I pointed out the posted signs, the individual claimed he was not selling anything, which was untrue. This company sends people out to sell their product, but they come to the door at all hours of the day and evening, ignoring signs that could get them in serious trouble. It is a shame that they send their employees out there in this environment - so dangerous. They come every 4-6 weeks and I have 11 cameras around the exterior of my property and literally hours of evidence. My brother is APD and lives with our family. These people are so lucky he hasn't been home when they come knocking. When they see a no trespassing sign and knock and ring the bell anyway, they have committed "unlawful trespass". They must leave immediately after seeing a posted sign - Texas Penal Code 30.05 - look it up and protect yourself. It is a Class B misdemeanor, which can result in a fine of up to $2,000 and/or up to 180 days in jail. I hope if they dare come around again that my brother is home and they will find out that it's no laughing matter. I feel bad that the employees don't know this. One of our grandchildren stays with us on Friday and my wife made a sign for the door that explicitly explains that there is a "sleeping baby" in the house. She puts it up during naps. Ordered late March, custom build and ready early June. The installation crew, lead by Matheus were amazing. Removed 17 old windows and installed new ones in ONE-DAY (even during a slight shower, they kept going)! Came back the next day and sealed the outsides. Day 3 came and installed three sliding doors, sealed them the next day. Finally installed a three window main bedroom in one day. Great professional work. Very efficient, very tidy, vacuumed and clean up afterwards. The windows look great, clean bright finish, excellent look and feel. Noise control is good, (our street is not too bad anyway). Temperature control in this hot summer also very good. Looking forward to comparing cooling (and heating bills) as the year goes by. On the day of the installation, I had concerns I shared with Sarah Jane. She said she would relay my concerns with the installation crew and to call her back if I had not heard from them in an hour. Luis contacted me with the time and when they were expertly and quickly installing the windows, I had a huge relief that I had purchased the best windows in the long run. They ignored no soliciting sign. They come in as if they're from their marketing department, but they truly are their sales. That's my first mistake, letting them in. My another mistake was not double checking the contract. They made a mistake on which windows to make obscure, and blamed me for it, saying "that's what's on the contract." For that, now I have a patio door that's obscure, instead of the second floor window I wanted to be obscure that nobody can reach. If I were to correct it, they're asking me to pay full price. Their communication sucks. I had zero follow up calls or emails afterwards but some text messages from their installation team. The installation team was whole lot better than their sales. The salesman showed up the next day to provide a quote. He said this was not a high pressure sales situation. A month ago the door to door solicitation seemed to have stopped but now they are starting back up again, of course always someone different as I'm sure there is a high turnover rate. The windows are made for your house. A rep comes out and measures all your windows, and 3-1/2 weeks later they called for a date in install them. The crew comes out and 4 hours later, the old are gone, everything is cleaned up, and the new windows are installed. Done! The windows keep the suns heat out, therefore the A/C seems to run less. The new windows also reduce the street noise, our house is quieter. Our savings should show up in electric bill next month. read more
