If you're planning on dinning in and driving, be prepared to feed the meter. This area can be a bit congested but not impossible to find parking. The place is moderately sized but seating can feel a bit snugged. The Grubbb: I've had their food prior to dinning in and was impressed. By popularity their rotisserie chicken is definitely their star, but they definitely have a few co-stars if you ask me! I ordered their lunch special of Pollo Guisado with Yuca (Stew Chicken with Cassava $6, can't beat that). It was everything I hoped and craved that day. I must say they are pretty consistent with flavor and their yuca is always delicious. My cousin ordered rice, beans sweet plantains with a green salad. She had no complaints either. She raved about their beans; I tasted them and I agree with the rave. The Service: They need work. The waitresses are pretty nice, but seems like they aren't use to a constant rotation in serving tables. I noticed a table leave because no one came over to take their order. Hopefully they decide to have a better system on waiting the tables. If you decide to come in for an exceptional dinning experience, don't set yourself up! But if you're looking for good authentic dominican food; this is your place! Although the place needs to find a better system to dispatch orders and serve their tables, I would definitely return! The food here is excellent. I got the fried fish with yellow rice, Maduro, and a delicious onion salad. WoW, that fish sat so well in my stomach. Perfect to eat, and the sangria was delicious. Local dominican spot!! On a busy street. Have to pay for parking meters......Very nice place. Pretty decor nothing fancy. Has a lot of seats available waitress. Steam table in the entrance. Their food was good. I love their Moro! The yuca as well. They make these bake ribs which fall off the bone. I have their stew chicken which I thought was okay I've had better. The potato salad was okay too. The pepper steak was good. Their bake chicken is amazing! Next time I go I'm planning on having chicharon de pollo see how that goes. Do not ever order from here!!!! you will starve before getting your food. This restaurant will tell you 30-40 minutes and you will wait about two hours for your food to be delivered. Then, after waiting almost two hours,you have to deal with missing items.When you call and speak to them,They lie and say they are sending someone right away to bring the missing items and you are still waiting another 30 minutes and have cold food!! I always try to order and support my community however,this was the last time I will order anything from here!!! This has happened more than once!!! read more

This place has the worst service. The food is not consistently good at all. Always hit or miss. Last straw tonight was ordered rice, beans, chicken and plantains for $8.00. This is always the price when I go. If you get a meat and 2 side items, the price is $7.00. If you get an extra side they charge a $1.00 more. I repeated my order twice and the lady I spoke to on the phone read it back to me. When I received the order which is usually in a Styrofoam lunch container came quite short. Chicken was in a small 4 ounce container and the plantains the same. They forgot my beans and rice. Called to have order corrected and the lady lied and said I never ordered that, even though I said my order twice and she had read it back to me. Then she switched her story and said if I wanted all that it would be $11.00 and not $8.00 even though I have ordered before and the price is always $8.00. Tried to change the price to dissuade me from demanding the correction. On top of it ,I had my order delivered and she said if I wanted the other stuff I would have to walk there and get it. Then her co-worker got on the phone and continued with the same unprofessional ignorance and horrible customer service. Love this Dominican Restaurant. Their yellow rice is sooo good. My favorite meat is their pernil and pork chops. My favorite appetitzer are their fried tostonas with garlic oil. So good. Whenever I crave Latin Food my BF and I jump in our car and drive over here from Sheepshead Bay. So worth the drive. Love how they have all their food nice and piping hot. After driving 4 hours from York P.A. Like I do every other weekend I decided to stop here for food as I always do. I live 10+ minutes away from here and when I got home and began to serve the food to my family I had to stop and call them to complain of the horrible, dry ass, old ass, chicken I was served. I knew something was up when I saw the server take a double look prior to him placing it in the bag but I thought it was nothing. Once I get home and I see the bull I left my house returned the chicken they said over the phone they will deliver but I know they would have taken forever so I got in my car and drove there 2 managers saw it Victor was one and the other one I don't know and they made a face. Victor tried to say that people order their meat over cooked and stale and one of the delivery boys was disrespectful towards me speaking in Spanish so I cursed him out because I understood what he said since my parents are Dominican and I'm fluent in Spanish and he did not say crap after that. Since it was first opened I have had no complaints. The food has always been well cooked and flavorful, but because of their customer service and delivery I have to give them two stars. I understand that it gets packed and a lot of people call in for deliveries. But when someone calls for a delivery for food that is already cooked and they say 25 minutes, it should be here in 25 minutes. I called twice.The first time they said it was already out for delivery, the second time they were nasty and said deliveries go by turn. Guess who NEVER got their order? Highly disappointed!!! Poor customer service !!! I am a regular a Rico Pollo simple because their food tastes great no matter what I try it is always delicious. My experience this past Sunday was simply frustrating. After waiting almost an hour to receive my food, my beans weren't packed in my order therefore I had to wait another half hour for those to come in. This was mainly upsetting because the beans were for my 3 year old daughter. She didn't eat anything until they came in which means she waited an hour and a half to eat dinner!!!!! After receiving my complete order I called back to speak to a manager and whom ever was on the phone as "manger" is as unprofessional as the person who took my order and packed it. He tried pinning the error on me by telling me my order did not come with beans when my receipt say rice, beans and chicken. Really???? Speak about poor customer service. Nice food, the services is no bad but is no good. When I call for delivery the employee tells me that the delivery takes approximately between 35 to 49 minutes and I ok! I call him because he had already spent 50 minutes and had no answer he says ok delivery is on the way and I answer no problem. I a little annoying call her after 2 hours and 15 minutes and I say cancel the delivery I do not want anything is much waiting, I no longer want your service. At that moment they play the delivery doorbell I look for the delivery payment and when I open my food it was not my food I call him and he tells me how could I apologize for the inconvenience after 25 minutes I had my food !!! The chicken is seasoned to perfection, the portion size is enough for 2-3 ppl if you get the delivery combo which consisted of white rice, beans, a whole chicken and a salad. My boyfriend and I also bought for dinner one night the peppers and onions with steak beans and rice & a whole chicken with rice and beans on the side.
