    Delicious !!!

Super moist rotisserie chicken !!! Definitely ask for extra house chicken dipping sauce .... Pepper steak delicious nice n tender and very tasty and perfectly seasoned ..... Chicharron..... eats just like a tender pork spare rib with a delicious crunch .... House rice with peppers; what can I say .... there rice is nice .... seasoned & cooked perfectly....... Garlic mash with cheddar cheese, Omg off the chain delicious..... O my bad .... I whipped them up myself when I got to add to our Thanksgiving Next day feast ..... I've passed this restaurant dozens of times on my home from work ..... I admired their store front sign really classy looking .... I've seen the place packed out the door & wanted to try this place especially that it's not out of my way home .... what a home run and a great find ..... They have a huge dining room with plenty of seating and decorated very nice .... I will definitely be taking my family to dine in and explore the rest of their menu with hope to give them a fifth star !!!! I found the out going service gentleman to be very polite and professional...... keep in mind I don't speak Spanish they were packed & still took the time to walk me through all their delicious looking food out in their steam table.... just take a look at the pictures .... everything looks so fresh & delicious..... Can't wait to return, my wife & daughter agreed that their food was delicious !!!! Parking could definitely be rough over here at times very congested area so bring someone to sit in the car .... well worth it !!! Thanks, Greg D & family

This is a Dominican Restaurant & the food and hospitality is amazing. The food is delicious and good size portions. We couldn't finish our food so we brought the rest home. They also do catering and serve alcohol! Definitely recommend!!

This was my first time eating Dominican food. I love it. It reminds me of Jamaican food but not as seasoned. Their portions are big so you may leave with leftovers. I went twice, so I tried several items and enjoyed them all. The prices are very reasonable for the portion. The staff is friendly and quick to take care of you. If you like alcoholic beverages with your meal, they certainly have options for you, as well as desserts. This is a great place for family dining. It is not large so many people pick up orders or get delivery. The staff speaks predominantly Spanish language, so it helps to have a translator or device to translate. You can definitely order just by showing them what you want. Great place! Loved it! Definitely recommended!

Horrible food to get delivery from ask for a whole tilapia and got send a fish that looks older than my grandparents so disappointed. Will never again this is a place that you should go buy in person.

    Whole Rotisserie Chicken

I ordered a whole roast chicken with a side of yellow plantain and got 1/4 chicken and a small amount of maduros that took 40 minutes.

Had a Grilled Salmon Dinner on my birthday. With the Coronavirus Pandemic currently taking place, I was unable to take my trip to Morroco that was planned for months. However, Rico Pollo has always been one of the main places that I would come for a decent seafood dinner that isn't just fried. They were actually closed down during the beginning of the pandemic, but I was happy that they opened back up. I recommend this dish to anyone looking for something on the healthier side.

The costillitas that you simple couldn't eat!!! Threw it out!

This is a very successful restaurant, however, today I went in to get some mango and costilludas, what a huge mistake and mangu, the costillitas were burnt and full of fat, I was hungry so I ended up eating the mangu- look at all the fat and burnt that was inedible!!!! As soon as they start making money the food suffers and they don't care!!!

What was left of the Moro and steak, small serving is enough for two small people.

If you can deal with the long lines and chaotic ordering process, you'll be rewarded with some deliciously tender Brisket, super savory Longaniza, and incredibly rich Chicharron. We had to wait an extra 20 min for a new batch of Mac 'n' Cheese to be ready, but the big serving and ooey-gooey nature earned our forgiveness. Throw in the ample seating that's a specialty of non-Manhattan BBQ joints, and you've got a great spot for a casual dinner. Not sure I'd schlep out here just for Bark, but I'm not mad we tried it.

Arrived around 4:45 on Saturday afternoon. There was a long line, but I had no idea how slow it would be. An hour and a half later made it to the counter. No Beef ribs, No chicken, no sausage. Only Brisket and Pork belly. Maybe with their new store they don't have enough product for both. The Brisket was very good. The Dominican spices made the bark worth while. Had Mac 'n cheese and Cole Slaw as sides. The Mac 'n cheese was excellent, and I don't usually like Mac 'n cheese. The Cole slaw was inedible. Just cabbage and a spice. Just dry and gritty. We had one bite each and tossed it. And of course because it is in the Time Out Market there was virtually no seating. More than half the seating was people holding space, no food no drinks. We approached a spot and a guy said the seat was taken. There were two chairs so he said we could have one. Finished our food and left. The other person never showed up. Holding space for an hour and a half? They need to force people to buy something if they are going to sit.

That set the tone of attentive service, which continued throughout an exceptional meal in Bath Beach. This area is busy, in a locals doing their thing kind of way. It's a real neighborhood, and La Chacra is a great reason to check it out. We initially had decided on ordering the Combo La Chacra, which consists of a whole rotisserie chicken, yellow rice with red beans, an avocado salad, an order of salchipapas, and an order of maduros. We added an extra half chicken, and thought "that's a wrap". However, there was an appetizer special of thinly sliced octopus prepared Peruvian style that needed to be ordered too. The service was excellent. Not overwhelming, but just right. Dishes were cleared, napkins replaced, straw wrappers taken away as soon as they hit the table. It's not something that I'm used to writing about, but needed to be said. And then, the food. It was outstanding. Compared to both the basic, and the high end Peruvian restaurants that I've been to throughout the city, La Chacra is far and away the best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and felt intentional. Nothing was just thrown on a plate. As full as we were, and we were quite full, there was no way that we were leaving without trying something from the desert menu. Another wise choice, as both the flan and the tres leche cake were fantastic. To wrap this one up, this spot is a solid five stars. The prices are very reasonable and the food, service, and charming atmosphere will have us returning soon.
