    $6.00 Seafood Salad

When it comes to dominican food in the cypress hills area in Brooklyn I recommend Toribios hands down. Ordering is like any typical restaurant you have music and people shouting in the back ground but if you can get pass that I promise you won't regret it. The steam table options are endless and they vary depending on tue days so always ask when you call. Our personal favorite is combo #1 that easily feeds a family of four for $24 bucks and it brings a large white rice, medium brand of choice, 1 whole bake chicken, sweet plantains or green salad and a 2 liter soda of choice. It's a family favorite and we all eat well. Another favorite dish is the cold shrimp salad. I absolutely love it, it's almost a ceviche except it doesn't have any fish just shrimp, crab, onions and peppers a small costs $6 and a larger a one $12. Totally worth the price. Next time you're in the area check out Toribio.

Omg that food was soooooo gooooddd. And you get more than enough for $6.50. I cant believe this. I literally was rushing to work hungry and decided to try this place just because it was available parking in front. I got stewed chicken, yellow rice and beans and salad. So much food i only ate half. Man was that good. Im definitely eating my leftovers and will definitely be back!

Went on a Friday with no reservations. They were super kind and fast with service. I came in hungry and order a ton - I had the tostone rellenos and ensalado del puerto. They hit! The tostone was creative, elegant and best bite of the evening. The salad had so much veggies and was very fresh the dressing it comes with is vibrant and lime-y. Great start to a meal. I had Churrasco which came with yellow rice and black beans. It was incredible, and I always get a tad scared with skirt steaks being overcooked but it was the perfect medium with grilled marks. The chimichurri was great too. I am nit-picking here but a little more salt and pepper on everything would of been great. Don't come with out having the sangria, they pack a punch!

The steak in the sandwich was so flavorful, and the empanada was also delicious. The empanada paired well with the green sauce it came with, and the waiter who delivered the empanada asked if I would like some hot sauce too. I could not pick a favorite between the two things I got. The guy working the high tops was very nice and was the one who recommended the sandwich to me. I will definitely be back to try more dishes here.

That set the tone of attentive service, which continued throughout an exceptional meal in Bath Beach. This area is busy, in a locals doing their thing kind of way. It's a real neighborhood, and La Chacra is a great reason to check it out. We initially had decided on ordering the Combo La Chacra, which consists of a whole rotisserie chicken, yellow rice with red beans, an avocado salad, an order of salchipapas, and an order of maduros. We added an extra half chicken, and thought "that's a wrap". However, there was an appetizer special of thinly sliced octopus prepared Peruvian style that needed to be ordered too. The service was excellent. Not overwhelming, but just right. Dishes were cleared, napkins replaced, straw wrappers taken away as soon as they hit the table. It's not something that I'm used to writing about, but needed to be said. And then, the food. It was outstanding. Compared to both the basic, and the high end Peruvian restaurants that I've been to throughout the city, La Chacra is far and away the best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and felt intentional. Nothing was just thrown on a plate. As full as we were, and we were quite full, there was no way that we were leaving without trying something from the desert menu. Another wise choice, as both the flan and the tres leche cake were fantastic. To wrap this one up, this spot is a solid five stars. The prices are very reasonable and the food, service, and charming atmosphere will have us returning soon.
