Great food with a unique twist. My only complaint is that it was a little on the pricey side.

The tandoori chicken melt was out of this world. Paired in with the butter chicken poutine. Would highly recommend.

The beef was very well marinated I could eat the spicy beef all day it is pretty expensive and if you come with over a certain amount of people automatically 15 percent gratuity. The crème brûlée was pretty good. The short ribs were really good as well, but still the spicy beef is to die for.

There is a lunch menu that is $30.99 but they allow you to choose the dinner menu also $42.99. The dinner menu has a bit more choices for each section eg. Dinner menu has shrimp and veggie tempura where the lunch menu doesn't not have. You order the food via QR code for your phone . The customer service was great, everyone was friendly and explained the process on how to order and portion size. The waitress kept returning to fill up my water. The food was good also, I really enjoyed it. We were there from 12:30 and stayed until 3:15pm. They didn't rush us to leave. With the bill, I appreciated they let us know that tips were included in the total price. I enjoyed my lunch!!

The poutine looked bad, which just hurt my soul. The staff was rude to customers when they asked for meat quantities that they didn't serve. Definitely bring your friends, and order a family or sampler platter - I can't obviously vouch for absolutely everything on the menu, but the stuff I tried was all delicious, perfectly seasoned, and was a massive portion. I can't imagine a better first impression. Service is definitely "meh" (had to ask multiple times for water and sharing plates), but the food is undeniably delicious. We got the sampler platter 3 (serves 3 easily, four as a stretch), and a brisket sandwich to share amongst myself, missus, my brother and mother. The sampler platter came with two sides, so we picked Mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes. The sides were both delicious, but the main stars of the show (brisket, Korean short ribs and pork ribs) were the star attraction - the reason why folks would come from far and wide to visit this restaurant. The ambiance is very minimal - almost grungy. The one single-stall bathroom can feel like it's overheating because of a lack of a/c or ventilation in the overall restaurant. Normally in the main restaurant this would be concerning too, but given the openness to the back grill and a large fan, you don't end up getting too much of the residual heat inside - or the "BBQ smell" that you'd normally associate with BBQ places. Anyway it's along old Kingston road. There's a small parking lot that serves the whole plaza that northern smokes is located in - the lot can get quite busy if all of the businesses are open, but we arrived when there were only a handful of businesses still open on a Friday evening.

I found it funny cause almost every item has the "favourite" symbol but everything tastes good! I love the decor inside. Lots of lights, florals and greenery. There is limited seating though since it gets busy - Maybe 10 tables of 4 on the outside perimeter and another 5 tables of 4 on the inside. We got the razor clams, 12 wings and beer special (after 8:30pm), smoked beet and pig ear salad, brisket and ribs and bun bo hue. The 12 wings and beer would have been such a good deal except the drink was pretty watered down. We brought it up to the waitress so hopefully they change that in the future. The wings were crispy,m and delicious. The razor clams tasted good too, but it only comes with 4. The smoked beet and pig eat salad was one of our favourites! Unique, flavourful and good crunchy textured. The brisket and ribs were another favourite. Tender and flavourful. The bun bo hue was good too. Service could have been better. One of the waiters wasn't that friendly. We still had a good time though and enjoyed the food. I would come back to try their other dishes.

She was not a very nice person very rude and I tried to explain that she as a courtesy and customer service she should had called us and ask us what time are we going to arrive. Long story short I ask to speak to the manager to my surprise the first words that came out of his mouth was 'what's the problem ' really? I explained to him that they should have given us a courtesy call just like other establishments to verify of our arrival later we found out the receptionist lied to the manager/owner we were 45 mins late. Come to the menu there is nothing out of the ordinary very limited selection of meats and other amenities. Even for the dipping sauce I don't find it out if the ordinary the place looks like a watered down AYCE they use hotpot and BBQ grill to hype the justification charging you $43 + $5 for the soup base. Overall good quality is ok but very limited selection they give you some jelly desserts not even ice cream terrible service. I appreciate the owner giving us 5% discount on the tab but I cannot lie about my overall experience of service she lied and the premium price they demand for the food. I don't forsee myself going back even for free. I have been to many others hotpot or BBQ AYCE restaurants but this place is one that I will avoid.

There is specific meat for grill with my favourite being the pork belly and short ribs. Only drawback would be lack of premium meat selection. Eating time is 2 hours not strongly enforced while last call is 1.5 hours. They also a late night special as well. In terms of price, its around 40 per person and with two soup bases at $10. Overall, despite not having the most premium meat, I had a great time and experience and would love checking out this place again. Parking is at back as an FYI!
