2 sticks of chicken Mishkaki. $10
Adil V.

Not the most fanciest places. Quantity was on the skinny side Tasted good, but the sauce marinate is a common one from jars of indian bottles you can buy in most east asian shops Overpriced food for the quantities they pack for you. On the fence if i would really eat here again The pictures speak for themselves...

The place is always messy. The cook does not know how to cook. The food is garbage. I wouldn't go there. I hope the guy sells the place The last cook he had there. The food tastes a lot better.

Electric Piggy BBQ - Clams...delicious

A Vietnamese fusion restaurant close to the Costco on Yorktech Rd. With a name like Electric Piggy…read morehow could I resist. Funky decor with majority of indoor patio seating on the perimeter surround their bar and kitchen. They have their own own smoker/BBQ in the back which explains why they have a brisket dish and brisket bahmi on the menu. Majority of staff speaks Vietnamese so it's legit Shared a somewhat light lunch sharing chicken wings, pork egg bahmi and lemongrass pork rice plate (takes 15mins to make) before heading to the madness called Costco shopping. Chicken wings were delicious with a light crispy sugary crust paired with a citrus dpping sauce, the strange combination of flavors surprisingly worked. Pork egg bahmi served hot on a nice toasty crunchy baguette, tender pork with a runny egg and mayo Hit of the show was the lemongrass pork rice plate. Whoever cooked/grilled the pork must have received a PHD in pork grilling, 2 pork chops tenderly grilled with lemongrass flavor throughout, one of the best pork dishes I've tasted. I will definitely be back to try out their brisket and probably their pho. So many interesting menu dishes to try in my next visit

Looks better than it tastes…read more Ambiance: The restaurant is located in a small strip along Woodbine, and we actually turned too late and missed it. The restaurant is quite small and cozy, with a rustic garden feel at night, especially as we sat at the perimeter of the restaurant that looked like part of the patio, but since it was cool, it has been sealed/closed off for the season. It seems like a casual hangout spot for small groups, couples, and friends, with dim lighting and a bar area. Food: The portions were reasonably sized for the calamari and chicken, but quite small for the salad and razor clams. The clams were cooked well and tasted good, but everything else was quite disappointing. The chicken was on the blander side, and wasn't very tender to eat. The calamari was quite soggy and needed the sauces to bring it flavour. The salad was also very light and subtle in its flavours. Not sure if it was an off night, but everyone at the table felt the food was weak and could have been improved. We consulted some friends who visited a month later who found the chicken to be so-so as well. Service: The service was also on the slower side, with them not even bringing us water until we asked. The dishes came fairly quickly as it was later in the evening and there weren't too many new tables, and they were generally out of the way. Food is much better at its sister Nam restaurants

They have other food options but you can choose bbq anytime of the day. Choose your beef and others. Each person has to order one meat, they do have lots of side dishes as you can see in the photo that comes with it. You can also order more side dishes if needed for free! The server was also kind enough to close the electric blinds since the sun was shining on my friend's face. This restaurant has lots of seats (benches) available and all seats come with a stove in case you order bbq. The place gets a bit dim once the blinds go down. There's a storm door to go through to enter the restaurant. The decor is minimal, has the kbbq vibe with wooden benches. The best meat is absolutely the boneless short rib! As per my friend's recommendation :) I will definitely be coming here again. I already can't wait to go!

I ordered the vegan set but my server brought all the toppings with fish sauce and proceeded to ask me "How vegan I was?"... I am not sure how to answer this as I am simply vegan. If you order the vegan set you should not be served animal products it is plain and simple. This was my main concern. Other than this it was a great first time experience for a Korean BBQ. Maybe won't be back for the vegan options as they asked that question.

Their service is really efficient and to the point not a lot of small talk. But what keeps everyone coming back is their excellent barbecue pork, roast pork, soy sauce, chicken, and barbecue duck. They have takeaway for just the meat or a meat and rice combo. It is not a ton of seating. Most people grabbed the food to go. They have some of the best Chinese barbecue in. Toronto is always a constant lineup, but it moves pretty perfect quick. It's always a place good place to grab barbecue meat for dinner at home with family or for yourself.

The portion of meat was fairly small, while the majority of the box was rice. I also noticed there were no vegetables or additional sides like soy milk or soup, which some other BBQ rice box places include. That said, the price was still decent for a quick and convenient lunch. There isn't really any dine-in seating, aside from the counter by the front window, so this is definitely more of a takeout-style spot. The ladies working here were very nice and friendly, and they also spoke English, which made ordering easy. As for the food itself, I found the quality of the duck and roasted pork to be just okay. Nothing was particularly bad, but I wasn't blown away by the meat either. Overall, I think Kum Hong BBQ is worth considering if you're looking for an affordable and quick lunch, but based on my experience, I'd probably explore some other BBQ rice box spots before making this a regular go-to.

Overall, the food was very salty and I did not enjoy it. There were only five pieces of chicken in the hainanese chicken rice and the rice was not made the traditional way using chicken oil. It felt like they used some type of food coloring and added a bunch of salt and oil. I could get the same dish elsewhere for $3 or $4 more, but get more pieces of chicken and an iced lemon tea. The chicken rice comes with a small container of soup. The vermicelli was also overly salted, with a reasonable amount of add ins (some bbq pork and a couple shrimp). Unfortunately the skin on the roast duck was not crispy. They have lunch deals until 4pm for $12.50 and all of them are rice dishes. No noodles for the lunch deal! There is a large parking lot and they're located across from Markham GO.

Older lady with glasses was rude completely rude. Said don't tell the number but the item. Would not really explain anything. Then asked what do you take said cash or card would have a charge so I gave cash after she told me. She was huffing and puffing not pleased after she punched in the terminal which I didn't use. Also paying cash, I didn't knowing if there would be change. Nothing was communicated, eg how long the wait was etc. There was also no one in the store at that time. it's not like I was slowing them down or making people wait. Zero customer service. I mentioned I have not been there before and I don't know the menu. This lady has zero customer service and the food no matter how good it was won't taste good because of bad customer service. I said my Chinese is also not that great either. The food itself a whole box of rice maybe 3 peices of broccoli and some general tao chicken and extra sauce. Meat was piled on top of pile heaping amount or rice since looked like it was more than there actually was. However after interaction like that doesn't matter food won't taste good. It was not only me this happened to. The people that after me that ordered she was rude too. Telling the man to sit down in a rude tone and when he was ordering his bbq pork lunch box. And when he was not decisive was rude and snappy to them In the store staff was pretty quiet not really talk to each other staff didn't seem particularly engaged or chatty with each other. It was a rather odd silence in the store just a bunch of kitchen noise but not much communication between staff. I will never come back again. I can get bbq pork lunchbox for 6 or 7 $ tax in in Scarborough. Don't need to come here to ruin your appetite for 10$. You all have been warned about this place.

Only good quality meat tastes this good. The coleslaw was good . The secrete ingredient in the dressing was mango. Don't worry if you don't like mango. You don't taste it, it's just part of the background flavour and creates a flavour profile that is amazing. Same with the potato salad, tiny bits of mango in it, it just blends with all the other ingredients to create something really special. Service was excellent, I think it was the owner, but judging by the place, all the employees would be as knowledgeable and helpful, I diols mention, the wings. Very good, the honey garlic sauce dripped of onto the plater, I loved dipping the fries in it. We tried the hot honey on the side. Normally I don't like the spicy, but even with the kick it had, it was very good. The price point was very good. Even with the recent increases in price, it more affordable and higher quality than our regular spots closer to home. We had the feast for 2 for $75. It could have fed 1 or 2 more. We loved it. Cleanliness was excellent and exceptional. Looking in the kitchen, I've never seen a cleaner place. The only negative which is a positive for us. The sausages were not ready.
