Cookie Butter pie in a jar!!!! OMG!!!!!!AMAZING!!!!!!!!
    Tonya D.

The food, service and ambiance is like no other! I dined at Smokehouse BBQ today and experienced an exceptionally delightful meal. I indulged in a half-pound of delectable spicy BBQ-style chicken wings, complemented by a traditional side of macaroni and cheese. The culinary highlight of the day was an exquisite cookie butter pie in a glass jar, that elicited sheer delight, leaving me with a radiant smile. Without a doubt, I plan to revisit this establishment in the future, and I wholeheartedly recommend it . I urge you to discover this gem off BBQ. I ate everything before I could share a picture except the pie in a jar! LOL!!!!

Best bbq/ smoked meat I've had in a very long time. The ribs had the house sauce, very good not too sweet or spicy. Both the brisket and pulled pork were very tender and flavourful. Only good quality meat tastes this good. The coleslaw was good . The secrete ingredient in the dressing was mango. Don't worry if you don't like mango. You don't taste it, it's just part of the background flavour and creates a flavour profile that is amazing. Same with the potato salad, tiny bits of mango in it, it just blends with all the other ingredients to create something really special. Service was excellent, I think it was the owner, but judging by the place, all the employees would be as knowledgeable and helpful, I diols mention, the wings. Very good, the honey garlic sauce dripped of onto the plater, I loved dipping the fries in it. We tried the hot honey on the side. Normally I don't like the spicy, but even with the kick it had, it was very good. The price point was very good. Even with the recent increases in price, it more affordable and higher quality than our regular spots closer to home. We had the feast for 2 for $75. It could have fed 1 or 2 more. We loved it. Cleanliness was excellent and exceptional. Looking in the kitchen, I've never seen a cleaner place. The only negative which is a positive for us. The sausages were not ready. My husband was disappointed, but it's good to know the food is that fresh and probably why the rest was so good and so fresh and flavourful. This is a place we will be coming back to and would recommend

    Nashville chicken

We were craving some hot Nashville chicken sandwich. This bbq spot popped up and it was fully worth the try. Buns were nice and soft. Super crispy and dipped in dripping Nashville oil. It could have been little more spicy but overall it was could. Like the pickled onion twist instead of slaw. Maybe a tip don't add the cheese I think without it will be better.

"The Cookout" meal for four - wings not included in this picture and they were incredible too!

This could easily be the best restaurant for BBQ. Staff are amazing, the vibes is 10/10. Hands down will be coming back here weekly!

We also had the Reuben and a Brisket poutine. The poutine and rib sandwich were our favourites. Was a little on the pricey side but quality was good. Lots of seating and cool vibes (love the Anthony Bourdain poster) with 90s hip hop music playing. We ordered on the self service machine and they called us to the counter to pick up the food when ready.

I really love the atmosphere they've created which has thoughtful seating, great decor, and a niche, cozy feel. For my first visit, I went with their Smash Burger ($9.95) and upgraded to a double for about $4 more. The pricing is pretty reasonable compared to other smash/gourmet burger places. The burger features dry-aged, house-ground Canadian beef chuck, smashed thin and crispy, topped with cheddar, S&S smash sauce, S&S pickles, caramelized onions, and shredded lettuce on a freshly baked potato roll. The bun isn't the most "pillowy" soft I've had, with a slightly brioche-like top, but still delicious and elevated. The seasoning on the edges was a bit salty for me, but once everything came together with the bun and condiments, it worked well. Simple, classic, and satisfying. Service was friendly, and there's ample parking. They offer online ordering, but I recommend going in person for the full experience and to pick up their stamp card (buy 10 burgers, get one free, and yes, you can redeem it for a double). Next on my list to try: their Montreal smoked meat. A hidden gem and great find.

It's a small spot but does have a decent amount of seating. Very casual in style, where you order and pay at the counter before seating yourself, and food is not served to the table so they call out your order for pick up. Menu is easy to follow: you pick a vessel and a protein, as well as your choice of toppings and sauces. You can also choose sides and drinks as well. They also have daily deals. My go-to is the HOLY SHRIMP as a SALAD bowl. I top it with cheese, caramelized onions, crispy onions, cucumber, southeast salsa, and sweet pickled cabbage. Their avocado cream is a must-have sauce and this time, I requested a little bit of their roasted peanut sauce as well. The shrimp will definitely have you saying "HOLY!" because they're so crunchy and flavorful. Not to mention, a really good size! One serving is about 5-6 large pieces of shrimp. The K.F.C. was the first protein I tried and is my second go-to choice. Service is always friendly and in general, the entire process is just so easy and convenient. I've also never had to wait long for my food, which I appreciate!

The worst part was the terrible service from the waiters; especially from this older man who was rude and disrespectful to the customers. To make it even worse, their prices are outrageous! It's a traditional form of Argentinian barbecue on the open fire. I've tried Brazilian rodizio and Venezuelan arepas but that was near the extent of my Latin American foray so it was exciting to taste the cuisine at this hidden gem. The must-get menu item is their charcoal grilled chicken. It's sort of akin to Portuguese chicken but in comparison the meat here is more juicy and better seasoned. The half chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender with slightly smoky flavours, then even tossed in chimichurri sauce. Perhaps greasy yet each meaty bite is satisfying! Honourable mention also goes to their empanadas. A pretty sight: golden baked crust folds over the fresh beef filling, that might be even better by the dozen. And at their price point, I can see why guests generally agree La Parrilla is a 5-star visit. I ordered ahead and the food was ready for pickup upon arrival to avoid any wait. Owner Serge was friendly about offering an extra sauce on the side along with chimichurri tossed on the chicken. Definitely get that sauce, as it adds dimensions to the asado / grilled meat. It's not easy for family businesses to operate these days, so I applaud that La Parrilla charcoal churrasqueria continues to offer top notch food from this little plaza.
