FOOD 2/5  let's start with the food prep the middle aged afro-American man making my sandwich was dropping pieces of smoked meat on the counter on the scale then putting it back in my sandwich ..then he only put on one glove yet he was touching my sandwich with his hand that had no glove.  The food was thrown into container so carelessly that the coleslaw container lid was not closed and all the juices spilled out and soaked into my  sandwich bread all wet and soggy. The meat portion was decent but I did not enjoy the sandwich on soggy bread and the coleslaw itself was horrible in taste possibly not fresh . The stinginess at this place is off the charts!!! I asked for a pepper instead of a pickle and I got neither with my sandwich ...at the other locations you always get a pickle or hot cherry pepper with your sandwich ...then I ask for some mustard and she gives me a small plastic cup with less then a half of a packet of mustard in it as shown in my picture with a boat load of attitude on top of it. I got no napkins and no fork or spoon to eat the coleslaw with I had to return inside restaurant and ask for one that's how stingy this restaurant is with their customers. SERVICE...0/5 Horiuble service , attitude !attitude!!From the moment I walked in, the white middle aged lady does not know what the word smile means and greeting your customers in a friendly manner...she seemed to have an issue and attitude with everything i ordered . Extremely rude . Unfriendly and had no clue what customer service means .. The two other Denny's that I have frequented in the greater Toronto area are the Mississauga (Courtneypark) and Pickering locations. They were fine, but this one in Woodbridge is amazing in comparison. This eatery is on the south side of Highway 7, in a plaza that's anchored by a Tim Hortons - Wendy's combo store. Wednesday was my first time setting foot in this plaza. I found a parking spot steps away from this Denny's entrance. I backed my car into it and walked in. I was immediately greeted by the sweetest woman. I asked if I could get a table. She said to choose any booth where I'd like to sit. I chose a booth and I sat looking out the window. I got a laminated menu. I leafed through it. My usual order at Denny's when I feel like breakfast for dinner is the following: - French toast slam - Diet Coke I got my Diet Coke. It was cold and yummy. I was so thirsty that I ended up having a couple of refills. My French toast slam consisted of three slices of French toast, sausage, bacon, and two eggs. I got the eggs over-easy, which was how I used to take them before I got into over-medium and scrambled. It didn't take long for my food to arrive on two plates. The proteins were on one plate. The French toast was on the other. I squirted a blob of ketchup next to my sausage links. I like this combination, although I can do without ketchup if I don't have access to any. My slam was excellent. The eggs were perfect. The yolks were runny and yummy. The bacon was crisp. The sausage links were delicious. I am a French toast fan. They were so good, especially with maple syrup on them. This meal hit the spot. My server was incredibly attentive with my drink refills. I asked for the bill once I was done and she didn't hesitate to find the payment machine. I tipped and tapped, letting her know that the food was delicious. She smiled and seemed genuinely happy to hear it. She does remember regulars who come here. The squid was tough to chew on, and left a sour taste in my mouth. Veal Piccata - $18.95 My friend's entree was not much of a looker, but he enjoyed the tenderness of the veal. Marsala seafood - $18.95 This was my entree, and I"m not too sure I have the name spelled right, but it was a heap of spaghetti with mussels on the side and a few pieces of scallop and shrimp. It was not bad at all, but I think I can attempt to make this at home with Ragu. The Service: Pretty good service - there was only one waiter running around making our drinks and taking our order, at the same time running over to the next door bar to serve people there. He was very friendly, and constantly checked up on us. This Harvey's is next to Luber, which is, you guessed it, an oil and lube station for your vehicle. So aptly named! There was parking around the building. I took a photo of Penny the chicken. It's not every day that you walk into any Harvey's to see a chicken staring at you. She was tied down for security. I frankly don't think folks can steal her.
