Friends took me here for dinner after debating which food spot to try... 9/10 for the mini combo. Ribs fall off the bone, sauced and smoked very well. The honey garlic smoked wings were delicious! Fell off the bone as well and was very well sauced. The fries were crispy even with the sauce on top. 10/10 for value! The entire pack was about 20$ after taxes and I really can't complain about anything at all. They give you enough to fill your stomach up and have some food possibly to spare. 9/10 for customer service, the staff were really pleasant and was attending to our needs for extra sauces and anything we needed. 6/10 for space, I wished it was a tad more spacious. January 25/2022: This is a little hole in the wall right in the middle of old Woodbridge. I wouldn't normally eat at a place like that but I had a hankering for BBQ. I ordered the beef brisket combo ($12.99). The beef brisket sandwich was beyond delicious! So tender, so saucy & SO hot in temp. I gobbled it down. The fries were the coated type that I'm not a fan of. The baked beans were delicious but the coleslaw fell short for being to dry. I called in to order and the lady said there would be an hour wait unless I was just ordering a single item (luckily I was). So I got a pulled pork sandwich and switched out the fries for onion rings at no extra cost. It was a 35 mins wait which was fine for me so definitely order early and not when you get there. I'm not a barbeque connoisseur so here goes my review Pulled pork was good, not dry, bit on the sweet side. I wasn't that interested in the bun it came in, it was your average sandwich bun. Creamy coleslaw was good and the beans they gave were also on the sweet side. Onion rings were onion rings :) ! The price was cheap for the entire combo and there's a grassy area behind the plaza where I sat down and ate so that was a nice impromptu picnic! First, I'd like to say that I really enjoyed the service. I called in advance and put my order in. The lady who answered the phone was courteous. When I arrived to pick my order, the lady at the cashier was friendly (I assume they were the same person). Good service makes a huge difference in the overall experience. They are very busy though, so you might have to wait a bit for the food. I ordered a Mini Combo (3 bones of ribs, 1/2 lb of wings, fries, coleslaw, beans, corn bread). It was a good serving size, for a big appetite. The ribs were falling off the bone, but surprisingly not as tender as I thought they would be. As a Californian who is blessed to have Lucille's and Phil's, as well as having traveled through the south, maybe I'm grading this little Canadian spot a little too harshly. The meat was very tender and slid right off the bone, but overall everything was very bland. The Cole slaw had no flavor, the beans were watery and the bbq sauce was nothing spectacular. I wish I had known before I had ordered that the plate would have been primarily fries, but c'est la vie I suppose. The service was also very, very slow. The location is busy, so perhaps they had a lot of mobile orders, but I wish that I had tracked the amount of time we sat and waited. If Memphis BBQ were a sports team, I'd say it had one transcendent superstar (the ribs were WOWWWWW), a close-to-all-star starter (the onion rings were good - coating/batter was crisp and not overwhelming, onions were sweet), a rotation player (the brisket sandwich was just ok; too little brisket and too much bread) and a bunch of benchwarmers all around (the fries, slaw, beans and especially the cornbread were awful). I was gonna give this 3 stars but the ribs are just SO GOOD. I'd come back here only for them and because Memphis is reasonably priced. Heard about this place from co-worker. So I came here with coworkers (who never try it) to check it out ourselves. Nice smokey taste. Tender meat. Tasty meat (inside AND outside). Love the coleslaw too! It helps 'brighten' up my palate so i can eat more. All of us kept talking about it afterward and spread the good news to other coworkers. Brought leftover home to share with hubby (6hr later) and STILL taste good! One of coworkers said there is another location near where she lives (newmarket area?), but not as good as the one in woodbridge. Been here for 3x so far (last one in 2020) and always hit the spot!! The amount of return customers is amazing. I purchase me the Big Boy Combo which consisted 6 bone ribs, 1 lb. of wings, fries, coleslaw, beans and cornbread. As a personal preference, I prefer my ribs saucy over the dry rub. The meat was well cooked and just was easy to chew in your mouth. The ribs was covered in a mild bbq sauce. As for the wings, there were plenty of flavours to opt for but I chose the creamy Parmesan. It was pleasantly creamy and cheeses. The wings were in the smaller size category. They weren't over fried. As for the coleslaw, it was okay. Not too dry joe was it drenched in dressing. The beans was good, I'm not usually a fan of beans but it's sweetness won me over. The cornbread was alright. Not generally a fan of it so I didn't care too much to finish it. It was dense and meh. As for the fries, delicious. I opted for the Cajun fries which was so good if you like the Cajun fries from Five Guys. Legit I come for the wings and ribs. I will have to try their sandwiches next time. We got the Elvis platter which was a nice combo of pulled pork, wings, ribs, fries, beans and coleslaw to share and of course, the pulled pork poutine which was absolutely delicious! How can you come to Canada and not get poutine and they sure got that right. Service was excellent ... didn't even feel like we were there for the first time because the staff were so personable. I'll applaud Memphis BBQ for their consistency of great tasting food and service. If you haven't been here, then you are in a whole new world of BBQ foods. My go to is the Elvis Platter, this will cost us about $25.93. The price is a bit high, but the food is worth every penny. The Elvis Platter will have 3 bones of ribs, 1/2 lb. of wings, & 1/2 lb. of pulled pork. Fries, coleslaw, beans, and cornbread are served with the platter. The ribs here are on a different level from the other BBQ establishments I've been to. The meat comes right off the bone, it is tender but also had a nice bite to them. Their signature BBQ sauce makes them irresistible, sometimes I would add extra sauce on it because the sweet and smokiness is unique. Now the wings, Golden Thai is my sauce to be tossed. The flavour is somewhat sweet and is accompanied by subtle heat - not spicy. It ties up the plate for me so well, I love the heat that it brings to the dish. The pulled pork is so soft, you can spread them apart with your fork with ease. Of course they are coated with the BBQ sauce as well. I haven't had pulled pork like this anywhere else. Lastly, the sides are just extras for me. Fries are nice and crispy and goes well with the meats. Coleslaw doesn't provide a whole lot of flavour (creamy base), but the texture adds a good crunch. I consider this place my greatest find during lockdown. We all drove far and wide to entertain ourselves with the only outlet being food. Craving for wings lead to to Memphis BBQ and of course the outstanding reviews helped too ;) I stuck to popular opinion and tried the smoked wings with Hot Honey and Spicy BBQ (2 pounds with fries). The pickup was smooth and they have a parking lot to wait in while your order gets ready. The Hot Honey sauce was fantastic! And the meat was just falling off the bones, I loved that it wasn't breaded and yet tasted sooo delicious! In fact, Mr. H who leans on the healthier living side has been raving about this place and already recommended it to friends. Need I say more? TLDR: Great prices for what you are getting. Ribs are amazing - probably the best I've ever had. The wings are kind of average but the different flavours/sauces make up for it. The outside, if I am being honest, looks dingy and rundown, and the inside looks no better. But it's the restaurants that lack presentation and still manage to get 4+ stars that you know serve REALLY good food since that's the only thing they really have left - and Memphis BBQ is one of those restaurants. We had four people so we split the Party Pack 4 which included 1 Full Rack of Ribs, 1 lb Wings (we got Rasta Jerk and Dry Cajun), 1lb Pulled Pork, Beans, Coleslaw, and Large Fries. The Ribs were easily the best thing there. The outside was nice and crisp, slightly charred from the flame grill and had the perfect amount of rib sauce. The meat ripped right off the bone and was extremely soft with a bit of a smoky flavour. The wings were great as well. The sauces they used were very unique and what was really made the wings different from other places, other than that they didn't stand out too much. The pulled pork was also good, very soft and tender and had some barbeque sauce slathered over it. Between the four of us I think there we each had at least 3 ribs, 2-3 wings and a good amount of pulled pork and fries.
