If you're here, have the buffet. The staff fill takeout orders from the buffet, so if you get the buffet, you're getting the same food anyway, just cheaper. Most of the dishes were decent & a few were good (butter chicken, mutton keema). Chicken curry was very thin though & one kebab was too salty (I have a high salt tolerance). At $27 for weekday dinner, this is good value, especially given the wide spread. You even get 5 desserts plus fruit & ice cream.

Still #1 Indian buffet in the GTA that is all day Let the competitors spam bad reviews. Come try this place out for yourself! Start with the chicken curry, a cold soda and naan bread!

The most delicious, fresh garlic naan

Hits the spot when you're craving some good, simple Indian food with a variety to choose from. We come here for lunch AYCE and I'm always excited to get the garlic naan. It's unlimited garlic naan made fresh! Everything is fresh. It's so good! I absolutely love to come here and turns out many of my coworkers do too! It's a good price for all the different dishes you can get. And the service here is amazing. They are always patrolling the restaurant to get the empty plates away, fill up your water, and refill your naan basket. Sometimes they offer slightly different dishes. I haven't really caught onto the pattern just yet, but it would help if there were some type of schedule or menu. Can't wait to come back for our next fill of deliciousness!

It was 11 am on a Tuesday morning and looking around for an Indian restaurant, craving for some meat curry. Two Indian restaurants in the vicinity were closed and will not open until 11.30am or 11.45am. So, by the time they open, we will not be able to order until after noon time. Came across India's Taste on Denison Street, which was already opened with a few guests already seated at their table. Good location and plenty of free parking. It is an Indian buffet and the waitress gave us a choice of A La Carte. We opted for buffet as there was a great selection of dishes, all freshly made and well presented. Goat curry was meaty and delicious. There were no cut-corners on the amount of meat, including chicken dishes. Some of the dishes, like the lentil soup, were mildly spicy, but not overly hot. Dessert like gulab jamun has a nice bite to it as it is often too soft to the point of disintegrating in the hot sugary syrup. Ras Malaye is my other favourite dessert. Dining room was spacious, excellent service and volume of background music at a level where you can keep a nice conversation going. Will definitely come back again.

Dessert from the lunch buffet

The reason I can only give this place 2 stars was the level of service, and the way they were completely unaccommodating to our party of 3 adults and one infant in a stroller. We arrived at the tail end of the lunch rush on a Tuesday - it was coming up on 1:30 PM, and while there were a good number of diners, there were also many empty tables. The hostess tried to seat us next to an already-occupied table. As our stroller would have been an obstacle to those customers, we asked to sit elsewhere. We were shown to another table near the buffet, where the server asked us to park our stroller where it would be in the way of anyone trying to make their way to the buffet. We eventually sat at a table next to a wall, but because of the stroller, I could barely fit my seat at the table. We pulled the table away from the wall slightly, so that the corner of the table wouldn't spear me in the ribs every time I leaned forward to take a bite of my food. In a huff, our server quickly came to push the table back towards the wall without a word. A whole to-do was made about our party of 4 not being allowed to take up more space than a four-top. Meanwhile, the restaurant was quick to seat a lone customer at the four-top right next to us, despite there being plenty of empty tables around. The lunch buffet was actually quite good as far as lunch buffets go - lots of variety. I enjoyed the curry lamb and goat dishes. Plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat lovers. Fresh warm naan brought to your table. However, among the misses were the butter chicken and the vegetarian samosas (the dough was a little too thick compared to the amount of filling). Anyway, with all the seating hubbub, the whole experience turned out to be a hectic and uncomfortable lunch. I don't plan on coming back.

Garlic Naan

I've been going to India's taste for some time now and their garlic naan has always been my favourite, it's unlimited and the wait staff generally passes by with a hot batch every so often when your basket is looking a little low. I used to be a frequent customer at this restaurant a few years ago and I loved everything about it. I returned a few days ago and while the food was still good, it seems as though it's lost a bit of its authenticity. While I appreciate the restaurant most likely did this to appeal to a wider variety of customers, I really missed the spice and cultural authenticity when I went a few years ago.

Great place for lunch if you love Indian food. Went on a Wednesday late lunch at 130pm and there were few people. Good choices definitely. Location is not bad, not too far away from the highway. Overall will go again for lunch buffet. Great space especially during pandemic.

Yummy Indian food! Pani puri - so good! I could eat like 10 of these! Crispy hollow shells filled with potato mixture and some sour, sweet liquid... never had anything like this. They also have a bunch of different pakoras. The fish wasn't the best so you can probably skip that. They also had these deep fried potato balls - they were really good! The sausages and meat patties were also delish. They also have some Western style appetizers - salads and pasta salads. Paneer curry is really good here and so is the classic butter chicken! For dessert, they have fruits and Indian desserts like gulab jamun. There is also an orange-coloured dessert... definitely get one of those, it's really good and almond-y. Also the fresh naan here is the best! Be sure to ask for several rounds of these! To drink they have lassi which is freshly made. The mango flavour is amazingggg! Btw, you'll be surprised how quickly you get full even after just 2 plates of food.

FOOD: Their buffet doesn't offer a large selection of Indian food but the quality is decent. You really get what you paid for. It used to be $13.99 for lunch buffet which was a really good deal. And their naan is superb and freshly served to you at your table! I come here occasionally for lunch during the weekdays and is usually packed. ENVIRONMENT: Don't be fool by the exterior of the restaurant. It doesn't have the most glamourous and attracting exterior but the interior is clean and big enough to accommodate larger groups. SERVICE: Attentive staffs. They do regular water refills and naan refills. It could be slow at times during peak hours but overall pretty good service.

What can I say but.....Awwww yeah!

Every time I eat Indian food I ask myself why don't I eat this every day? I love the flavour and it is so satisfying. Then after I overeat it, I ask myself, how do people eat this everyday? India's Taste really delivers if you are looking to scratch that spicy itch. For a buffet, the food is fresh, the service is attentive , and the place is clean. You will find a good variety of vegetarian and meat dishes plus there is a good salad section. The naan is served fresh as you ask for it. My only thing is the desserts. They are soooo sweet. I am not into sweets, and the dessert section here is crazy sweet. But their carrot dessert is amazing if you can handle the sweet.

Buffet with Mango Lassi

We really very much enjoyed this Markham Indian restaurant. We went for lunch on a Saturday, and there was a great selection. They had all the usual suspects. Such as: - Butter Chicken ( boneless) - Tandoori chicken - Goat Curry - Daal - Aloo Plus lots of different kinds of salads, rice, fish, lots of vegetarian choices, and they brought fresh man baked right on the tandoor. It was awesome. Loved the Naan bread. Service was nice and friendly and we ended up having Mango Lassi with it also Dessert was fresh fruit, ice pudding, ice cream, carrot pudding. and the cake balls in cardamom syrup. Food had a bit of bite to it but definitely suitable for western palates. It was pretty busy with families and couples alike.

I came here because of the many positive reviews on Yelp! The restaurant is tucked away in an industrial area, and doesn't look like much from outside, but the inside is actually quite modern and comfortable. I went for the lunch buffet, and was quite impressed with the food! There was a good variety of chicken, lamb, and veggie curries. Most of the meat was tender, although some of the lamb could have been more tender. The curries were slightly spicy, and had a good mix of spices (but taste could have been stronger). For dessert, they actually have ras malai! I also discovered galja halwa (with the warm food section), which is now one of my favourite indian desserts! There's also lots of fruit for dessert, and salad as well. There were no soups, so maybe they could add some to the selection. Service was really attentive; they bring you pieces of fresh naan when they see you are running low! They also top up water quite quickly. For about $15 for lunch, the variety and quality is great for what you get!

Price is $55.99 per adult and for senior (65+), there's 20% off the adult price listed. The buffet price is a bit expensive but reasonable in comparison to other buffets. There is a variety of food to choose from including seafood, meats, noodles and veggie dishes to choose from. There's a Peking Duck section and a "noodle bar" as well. My favourite was the sashimi section and it was regularly refilled whenever I went to get more food. Personally, the highlights of the buffet is the seafood and the herbal soup. They even have lamb skewers in the hot food section! Overall, a good dining experience and service was adequate. The servers came around to pick up plates and check in regularly. Received our drinks in a timely manner. No major complaints except restaurant was a bit dark where we were sat so it'd be nice to have a bit more lighting.

It has a nice variety of dishes and my favorite thing to get is the Peking Duck (very glad that this is available for lunch and dinner). The restaurant is spacious - lots of seating available for small and large groups. The recent addition of claw machines is a nice touch for kids and adults who would like to try their hands at catching some stuffed animals and prizes. It was a highlight for both of my sons when we took them here last year. My most recent visit was this past week when I was in Canada for a work trip and got to spend a few days with family in the Markham area before going to downtown Toronto for work conference. Highly recommend checking out Dragon Legend if you are looking for a good buffet with a nice range of delicious foods.

We made reservations in case but hardly a line unlike the experience at Dragon legend( had reservations but line up for it was still out the door and around building) It was busy but lots of food at the hot tables being refilled often, beverages refreshed and dishes from our table promptly removed. Service was attentive in the dining rooms and friendly by the hostess station. Lunch had enough items to be happy with, but it seemed like they altered the BBQ/Grill station to breakfast foods, like bacon and fried eggs and had a few empty slots where I remember had items previously. Highs: -Black peppered beef cubes very very tender and flavourful - fried noodles on point - tofu pudding dessert had a gingered sugar syrup to drizzle on top Lows: -peking duck seemed more hard instead of crispy skin - fried egg Left the restaurant very stuffed, kids were happy. Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. I don't know why the hate for this place - perhaps in the classic buffet days the food was bad, but perhaps the shift to buffet at the table (aka a la carte buffet) improved the food quality greatly. The menu is actually reasonably 'authentic' - there isn't much Americanised Chinese food here. Hot & sour soup was decent. There was quite a lot stuff in it. It was quite spicy. The fried oyster was dry and didn't have much flavour. The BBQ spare rib was ok but was hard to eat with the provided plastic cutlery. Plus, the bone fragmented quite a bit which was unpleasant. The breaded shrimps were decent. Pan fried pork chop was a bit plain though it was fried pretty well. Lobster (for the weekend buffet - limit of 1) was a little small but was really good. Again plastic cutlery made eating this a pain. Salt & spicy shrimp was decent. Shrimp dumpling (har gao) was somewhat mushy - not good. Shrimp salad was just boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce; the shrimp was good quality but the style was a little boring. Steamed scallop with garlic came in its shell and was decent. Shanghai noodles was OK; the portion was a little too big for AYCE. The black pepper beef was decent. The curry fishball was awful - rubbery, with curry sauce that tasted like a mix of chili and something used to clean the kitchen. General Tso's chicken was so-so. It wasn't very crispy & had a bit too much dark soy sauce which threw off the balance with the sweet, sour & spicy flavour. The custard bun tasted pretty good - there was enough custard & it was rich, though it wasn't very liquid (even when hot it wasn't a liquid). The BBQ chicken leg was ok - it was crispy and had a soy sauce flavour. Salt & spicy squid was ok, though the squid was a bit soft. The steamed fish was surprisingly good - it was fresh, good quality fish & was quite fragrant. The green beans were fresh, light & retained their bounce, though they could have done with more smoky wok flavour. Sauteed cabbage with chili was decent. The spicy wings were only slightly spicy & were crispy & tasty. Fish-flavoured eggplant was pretty good (and I don't even like eggplant). It  was fragrant with a hint of spiciness. Honey garlic spare ribs were decent - a bit better than BBQ spare ribs, though a touch tough. The desserts weren't very good. Golden Wantons were just fried dough - crispy with a bit of sweet sauce. They were fresh and good. Mini cake was cheesecake but I could see the ice crystals - it hadn't been properly defrosted. It had been taken from the freezer and was dry. The biscuit wa a palmier and it wasn't flaky and was even a bit moist (i.e. bad). The cookie was so-so. The ice cream was green tea flavoured and was ok - there were some ice crystals but it tasted OK. Sweet taro tapioca was actually sago with taro and was okay. The sesame ball was ok - fresh & crispy but with not much stuffing, plus it was mung bean and only passable.

Mushroom soup was excellent - rich, creamy, umami & bursting with flavour. The big chunks of mushroom in it were really tender. The pastries were all flaky, which is unusual at buffets. The flat breadstick was also excellent in its simplicity, with good body & rich flavour. Chicken sausage was tasty though slightly overcooked. Penne with vegetables was great. The vegetables were fresh, juicy & there was a nice variety of both & the pesto sauce was good & there was a lot of parmesan. Mashed potatoes were really creamy, with lots of visible cream pooled in the tray. Shrimp & scallops were good, with a rich spiced coconut sauce (which was not spicy). The other dishes were generally decent. The roast beef was below average (could be tastier & juicer) but still ok. The only major disappointment was the mini Yorkshire pudding which was cold & dry.
