Really good food and service! We were here with our four year old and the waiter interacted with him a lot and also brought his food out as soon as it was ready. They have a kid's menu and it has chicken nuggets and fries on it...big win for all those parents with picky eaters. The serving size was just right...I left full but not uncomfortably so. Beautiful interior and great food! They have a dine in section and an express take out section. Was so excited to try out a new Indian restaurant and this definitely hit the spot! They give you a complimentary snack, in a form of potato sticks (not entirely sure what it was). To start: - Samosa 10/10 They were huge! Perfectly fried and stuffed with spiced potatoes and green peas. Came with a green and red chutney. Green chutney was refreshing while the red chutney was sweet and spicy! - Pani Puri Shots 10/10 Great presentation on this, shots of green mint and tamarind water, topped with mini poori with chickpeas and potatoes. Loved the way they served this as a shot, it was packed with flavour and exploded with the refreshing mind and tamarind water in the mouth once you ate it. Mains: - Butter chicken 8/10 Was buttery and smooth in texture and loaded with chicken. It definitely was lacking something in the flavour that I couldn't pin point, but still a great easy option for anyone that doesn't like too much spice. - Garlic naan 10/10 Huge! And can't go wrong with this to pair with your butter chicken. - Goat curry 9/10 Packed with delicious spices and had a huge kick of heat to it, so be aware! The prices might be a lil bit up there for indian food, but WOW did the food slap. My friends and I came by on a saturday night around 7pm. When we arrived, we were greeted by smiles and a very friendly staff. The resto quickly filled up shortly after because it was prime dinner time. The resto interior looks very modern and they have individual rooms for the washrooms (3 I think). The tables look very clean and it's very brightly lit. We ordered a bunch of dishes to try because the menu was huge and the food descriptions were so enticing. Half tandoori chicken: Yo, for real tho. This is one of the best tandoori chickens I've ever had. It comes out on a sizzling plate. It's marinated w/ yogurt and house spices. The chicken breast section was unbelievably succulent and they served it with raw onions and a mint sauce on the side. I'm definitely ordering this again if I'm back w/ my friends. Ghost korma: The lamb in this dish was super tender and barely required any chew. It wasn't as flavourful as the meat in the deccan lamb karahi but the tenderness made up for it. Deccan lamb karahi (half): This dish looks like a showstopper when it arrives. Comes out in a giant pot and the server told us to leave the lid on for a bit to let the dish steam. The lamb was PACKED with flavour. It was a spice explosion in my mouth. However, it wasn't as tender as the lamb in the ghost korma. Also, the lamb chunks were cut much larger in this dish than in the ghost korma. Chilli garlic naan: Soft, moist, fluffy naan seasoned to the gills w/ garlic, butter and chilli (would probably recommend you just order plain naan or the garlic naan; couldn't really taste the chilli as it tasted like very heavy black pepper instead) Shrimp biryani: The rice was so moist and not dry at all. Didn't come with too many shrimps so it would've been nice to have a couple more shrimps running through it but we ordered a ton of protein so we were able to overlook it. South indian fish curry: Good. But probably the least ranked dish out of the whole spread. The sauce was actually quite spicy in comparison to the other dishes we ordered which was interesting. But the seafood aka the fish, was not as delicate as would've liked. It was quite overcooked and nothing to write home about honestly. This dish you can skip on (unless you REALLY like spicy). Old city chicken curry: Very tasty. Pretty generous on the amount of chicken it came with which was satisfying. Hopefully that doesn't change and they don't cut corners anytime soon. Bharvan mushrooms: Mushrooms stuffed with cheese and a bunch of other things. This is basically a vegetarian dish. Came out on a sizzling plate just like the tandoori chicken. The mushrooms were cooked really well and took on a very meaty flavour. Hyderabadi wings: Surprisingly good wings! Lots of meat and the sauce had a nice, enjoyable kick. Looked spicier than it actually was. Mulligatawny: Lentil soup with lemony hints. Ok so this soup was really good but idk if I'd order it again. The pricing was kinda steep for what it was. Mango lassi: Doesn't beat India's Taste's mango lassi (which is GOATed imo) but it does slide in at #2. Whenever I sit down to enjoy my indian food I gotta have my mango lassi. It's like a trusty, reliable fire extinguisher that also helps reset my palette. Once you order, these complimentary breadstick looking things get brought to your table with a sweet red chutney sauce. They were interesting. Some of them were stale but some of them were cooked just right. I think I would've just preferred fries LOL. The red sauce it was served with though. Damn, that stuff was crack. I wanna give a shoutout to our server Sherlin! She's the best server by far at this joint. The most knowledgeable about the menu (we asked numerous waiters/waitresses questions and some weren't able to answer our questions) and the most helpful (came around often to ask what else we wanted). A 15% auto-gratuity was slapped onto our bill which we felt was deserved because she was our server. If we received one of the others as a server we would've been grouchy about that 15% auto charge lol. I'm definitely coming back to try the other stuff on the menu. It's HUGE and we've only cracked a quarter of it. The food is a lil pricier than your typical indian food spot but you get decent portion sizes and the taste is unquestionably authentic. read more

First off, how this place turned from a Wild Wings to this Biryani spot is beyond me. The entire location has been renovated and looks incredible! The food portions especially for biryani are pretty big, so 1 biryani, a couple garlic naans and a curry or two can feed our family of 4 with food to spare. The garlic naan was definitely my favourite of everything I've had, and been about 3 times now. A couple of the curries can occasionally be a bit oily. Had the chicken tikka masala and the mutton vindaloo. The staff are all super nice, they're all very attentive and just a great time to talk too. Tucked in the corner of Scarborough and Markham, I recently visited Biryani N BarBQ, which offers a wide variety of Indian classics in addition to some fusion foods. My friend and I tried: . Chicken Sukka Wings Boneless Chicken Biryani Chicken Sukka Biryani . The biryani itself tasted as expected- the portions per dish could fully feed two people in my opinion and the raita and shorba were generous. NOTE : For those that Manage Gout, likely chicken will be your main protein of choice. Along with an assortment of veggie options. Also, for those that enjoy Naan and have gout, be careful since some with gout can be triggered by the yeast in the Naan. I've only recently learned that I've been getting triggered by yeast and yeast-extracts. Drinks : We received an initial pitcher of water, and I requested a 2nd as well. Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 4/5 Chicken Pakora, I feel for $12.99, the portioning is a bit on the underwhelming side. I felt the portion amount we received, should have been priced maybe around $8.00 considering this was a Starter/Appetizer item. I feel that appetizer pricing should not match or come close to an Entree dish pricing. Boneless Chicken Biryani, the bowl that arrived at the table was very deceiving, it didn't look like a lot at first glance...but we were not able to finish, ended up bringing the rest home with us.
