Pashwari chicken sizzling plate

First off, how this place turned from a Wild Wings to this Biryani spot is beyond me. The entire location has been renovated and looks incredible! The food portions especially for biryani are pretty big, so 1 biryani, a couple garlic naans and a curry or two can feed our family of 4 with food to spare. The garlic naan was definitely my favourite of everything I've had, and been about 3 times now. A couple of the curries can occasionally be a bit oily. Had the chicken tikka masala and the mutton vindaloo. The staff are all super nice, they're all very attentive and just a great time to talk too. If you haven't tried yet I'd definitely recommend!

Great food and service in this spacious restaurant. Never knew this place existed until today. My friend from India says this is pretty close to how food back home taste. The ingredients used were fresh and aromatic. Staff working here were super friendly. My favourite dish tonight was the Chicken Shorba, Chicken Suka and the Pani Puri Shots

Food was very tasty at this restaurant. A good variety of curries. Service was really good. The restaurant is beautifully designed, spacious and clean. The naan was extremely fresh, made fresh, crispy and soft at the same time. Some foods are spicy, better be ready for a high spice tolerance for some of the dishes.

Tucked in the corner of Scarborough and Markham, I recently visited Biryani N BarBQ, which offers a wide variety of Indian classics in addition to some fusion foods. My friend and I tried: . Chicken Sukka Wings Boneless Chicken Biryani Chicken Sukka Biryani . The biryani itself tasted as expected- the portions per dish could fully feed two people in my opinion and the raita and shorba were generous. The dish did feel a bit more grainy than other biryani dishes I tried but taste was great nonetheless. The wings were the real deal at this place - packed with an insane amount of flavour and just the right amount of crispiness; my friend and I both agreed the wings were truly the highlight

Biryani N BarBq 6015 Steeles Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1V 5P7 Date visited : Thursday Jan 19, 2023 Overall Rating for experience : 4/5 Comments : First time visiting this resto. We were the only ones when we visited. Another couple entered the resto about 15 min after we did. This was between 11am-12pm. Just a note, not an expert on Biryani by any means. Still trying different restos to see what we really like that are still in our budget. Service : 4/5 Very friendly and helpful staff. Tho the 1 staff that was looking after the dining area at the time, was overly attentive IMO. Felt like she was hovering a bit. Tho she was very helpful in answering questions about our order along with promptly bringing a new pitcher of water. Food : 4/5 We ordered : Chicken Pakora, $12.99 and Boneless Chicken Biryani, $15.99. The chicken pakora was crispy and had a bit of a spicy bite for us. We're not huge spice heads. Chicken Pakora was also tender inside. As for the Boneless Chicken Biryani, this was really tasty, tho I ended up drinking quite a bit of water, not sure if it was due to the spice level or the amount of sodium. The Chicken in the Biryani was very tender. We asked for the biryani to be on the mild level of spice. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cucumber Raita that came with the Biryani. The other sauce was good as well, tho I didn't catch the name, it had blended chickpeas in it and sesame seeds? and had a slight spice kick. NOTE : For those that Manage Gout, likely chicken will be your main protein of choice. Along with an assortment of veggie options. Also, for those that enjoy Naan and have gout, be careful since some with gout can be triggered by the yeast in the Naan. I've only recently learned that I've been getting triggered by yeast and yeast-extracts. Drinks : We received an initial pitcher of water, and I requested a 2nd as well. Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 4/5 Chicken Pakora, I feel for $12.99, the portioning is a bit on the underwhelming side. I felt the portion amount we received, should have been priced maybe around $8.00 considering this was a Starter/Appetizer item. I feel that appetizer pricing should not match or come close to an Entree dish pricing. Boneless Chicken Biryani, the bowl that arrived at the table was very deceiving, it didn't look like a lot at first glance...but we were not able to finish, ended up bringing the rest home with us. Easily enough for 2 to 3 ppl depending on appetite level. For $15.99 + HST this is a good size for sharing. Worth a repeat visit : Yes for sure!

Great place to go for biryani with your family or friends. Service was great and the waitress was very helpful. Their food is not very spicy, and the naan tastes great! I would recommend trying the garlic naan.

PLASTIC IN THE FOOD

Lied about the food taking 5-10 minutes, let the rest of the food get cold while waiting for the rest. Had to take order multiple times. Ambiance, not there. If the foods taking so long at least put out a couple chairs. Not even that many being seated, so why so long for a couple dishes of food? Food okay, but WE FOUND A PIECE OF PLASTIC IN THE FOOD

So much delicious food

It is quite spacious and has a lot of seating to come dine in but does also do take out options. The staff is quite slow here to come take your food and even for your food to come out, so be prepared for that! It took quite some time for one of my friend's dishes to come out while the rest of us had even finished eating. But the staff are very nice and we were seated quite quickly, on the plus side. When it came to the food, everything was pretty good!! We got quite a few appetizers including: Gopi 65 (which was delicious), Chili Idli (would come back just for this) and the Bhaaji. And for our entrees we got the Garlic Parotta with Kurma (would pass on this), Paneer Biryani (was okay), Paneer Masala Dosa (was good) the Mushroom Uthapam (was good) and the Chili Parotta (would pass on this). Overall the food was good, definitely had some dishes I would come back for. If you're looking for some South Indian food in Scarborough I would recommend! 7/10 Recommend!

I won't lie, I was overwhelmed at first on what to pick, so I highly recommend going with a group so you can try a bit of everything. The portion sizes are great, we had so much leftover! The variety is so nice. Taste wise, every dish had my heart. It was all packed with flavour and tasted authentic. The stars for me were the Paneer Chettinad and Parotta with Kurma. Atmosphere -5/5 The interior of this place is insane! It feels like walking into an emperor's house! All the walls have paintings of hindu gods, and the restaurant is decorated so well. It's pretty big so perfect for smaller or larger groups. I'd try to get a reservation on busier nights. Service - 5/5 The staff is super helpful ! We asked a lot of question on what to order and they were so helpful. They would check in on us to, when it's super busy it happened less frequently but totally understandable. Will I go again? Of Course! I think it's going to be my go to Indian veggie place! Lash's Recommendations -Paneer Chettinad -Paper Masala Dosa -Parottta with Kurma

Everything was done through online ordering where my payment was taken, and when I went in store to pay I was told they never received my payment and tried to charge me twice. Overall the service here for both in person and take out, is not the greatest. Wait times are long and the staff is not very attentive. When it comes to the food, it's okay. I have ordered the Charminar Veg Dum Biryani would not recommend. Previously have also ordered their Chana Masala and Gopi Manchurian which is decent. The Good I had the Goat Biryani Combo from their lunch menu and it was very filling and delicious! It actually included two chicken side dishes, naan, raita, salan, and dessert, making this combo a great value. It was also very filling! The Bad The actual price of the meal was $3.00 more than stated on their menu. Their menu is online and you have to scan a QR code pasted to the table to view it on your mobile phone. Hmmm, suppose you didn't have a phone, or an app to read the QR code? How would I know if I was being scammed by my server? The Not So Great The restaurant is large, obviously two units. One side is very dark and the other side brightly lit. Decor is very stark. Very! The wall surfaces are hard so you could easily hear every word of every conversation taking place in the restaurant. I was seated at a round table that had four place settings but the extra settings were not removed when I was seated. How long had they been there? There was also a pitcher of water (room temperature) on each table. How long has that been there? All the plates were noticeably chipped. This is the most upscale looking Charminar I've been to but they have a lot to learn about service. My experience at their other locations was far better! At least I enjoyed the food. PS - I never got the dessert.
