I took in a suit, shirts and a tie. So when I go pick up my dry cleaning I notice that I'm missing the tie. So after filling out a form they told me that the manager will be contacting me on Monday after they call the plant, (I'm guessing the vendor where the clothes actually get cleaned at) and let me know what's going with my missing item. I have been using Rick's Cleaners for nearly 8 years, basically since the time I moved to Austin from Dallas. For several years, I used the Jollyville location, and now, due to a job change, I am using the 183 and Anderson Mill location. Their prices are very good and they generally do an excellent job with my clothes. I have tried a few other places, but most are much more expensive. My only wish is that they would stop with all the coupons and just provide a "frequent user" discount equal to the coupons found on their website, in emails, or in the Austin Chronicle. I was excited when I saw all of the raving reviews. But after dropping off several silk blouses I am everything but impressed. The silk shirts that I sent in had zero stains and just needed freshening up, however when I got them back they had marks all over them. Do not take anything with color to them. The Employees are really great. But the quality of the Dry Cleanings are not Good. I've dropped off the Men's Suits with in few months. I had to ask few items to "Re-Do". Still came back same results. Really DISAPPINTTED. My wife works crazy hours and travels a LOT! A reliable dry cleaner is a must. Not sure who was working Sat. Aug 4th, but 1 minute before closing (we know this because my wife actually looked on her phone after the shock) this female dog rushed to beat her to the door, actually pulled it back closed and locked it in my wife's face! I am so pissed at Ricks right now. This is the second time that I have put clothes in and they are not ready when promised and both times I was going out of town. Also I bring my husbands shirts in to get cleaned and folded and it never fails that one box folded the others are on hangers. Three tries at this cleaners and I'm done with them. The pressers at Ricks central factory on Cameron must find it tough to follow a perma-pressed crease; my pants come back with 2 creases. You only get 1 chance for a first impression. I'll pay the extra $ to look professional and use nearby Sweet Cleaners for my suits and slacks. read more

After several successful visits to this dry cleaner in a strip mall off of William Cannon, my last experience guarantees I will never be back again. There's nothing quite like showing up for a meeting in Dallas with a garment bag containing torn pants. So they made a mistake and ripped my pants, causing damage. No big deal. They will fix it, right? No, actually they won't. Tell tell you 'no' several times and then be grudgingly call their manager. The manager will then tell you that it's impossible for them to fix it without the original yellow tag. Even though the history of each customer is contained in their computers. This dry cleaner wants to run through customers quickly, and doesn't care about retaining them, or making damaged clothes right. I'm going to spend the money to go to a higher class facility that actually cares for the customers and takes care of problems. If you do decide to risk it and work with Ricks, inspect every last garment before you leave the facility otherwise you might end up paying for their mistakes. read more

I was skeptical about using Rick's Cleaner's because of the extremely low price and some of the horrific reviews I've read. However, I had just gotten a white coat for Christmas that will need to be dry-cleaned frequently because of its tendency to show even the smallest amount of dirt, and I cannot afford $15-20 cleanings every 1-2 weeks. So, I decided to risk it. I'm glad I did, because for $2.59, my coat came back in perfect condition. I will happily return to Rick's Cleaners, and hopefully my coat comes back just as splendid every time. Otherwise, I'll be back here to update my rating. read more

I had the worst experience at Rick's cleaners. One time I took my new comforter to get it dry cleaned. I had only had it a couple of months. Rick's destroyed it. I spoke to 3 different people about it and no one would compensate me for it. They blamed me and wouldn't help. They said it wasnt their fault. I took it somewhere else and I was told that it had obviously been WASHED not dry cleaned like it was supposed to be. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. The lesson is that if they make a mistake and ruin your things, they will NOT own up to it, but instead blame you. read more

Just tried them , as my other cleaners was charging 10bucks to clean a silk tommy bahama sport shirt...and pretty much 10.00 a piece for anything, really. Ricks did a great job and the price is what a normal person can afford. cudos. So rfar so good. Two pairs of women's wool slacks and a cashmere sweater came by perfectly cleaned and smelling very nice, as in smelling like NOTHING. No dry cleaning chemical smell or fabreezie smell. I was nervous about going to this place but after seeing that it had received a few great reviews I felt a bit better about it. I've never written a review before and I admit, I wouldn't feel compelled to write this if the staff members weren't so completely rude. I sent in 3 pairs of pants, 2 skirts, 5 sweaters and 8 shirts. My total was just over $50 which was awesome...until I went through the clothes and found a sweater that has blatantly been machine washed and has been so shrunk that I can no longer wear it and a skirt that has blatantly not been cleaned, only steamed to remove wrinkles. I'm glad those were the only two items that were not as they should have been and only one of them was completely ruined but I have absolutely nothing nice to say about this place. I will pay the higher prices at a place that treats me nicely and doesn't ruin my clothes. read more

Worst customer service at the Bee Caves Road location! Jessica, the MANAGER is absolutely horrendous! No customer service, no greeting, she even had me stand outside after she saw me at 7:01am! I should have known better. Whenever a dry cleaner insists that you pay in advance for services...somethings wrong. I took 2 shirts to be pressed only, having laundered them myself first. I thought that might save me some money since they didn't have to clean them. I was wrong. They charged me full service and the shirts came back puckered and wrinkled. Typically I do t write - but this Was the worst service I have ever received. Cleaners lost a pair of my pant and the first day I'm promised a phone call from a manager. That never occurred. Went back the second day to get an answer and then the girl look at me like I have two heads. Another person came from the back (not to help, but get money from the register) and she chimed in and said "we need to get more info from you before we can proceed. It typically takes 5-7 days to track down lost items." I explained that I'm not from here and leaving this week. She turned around and left it in the clerk hands. I've been going to Rick's on W. William Cannon for almost a year now, and I have had several bad experiences there. Upon picking up my clothes earlier today, I realized that they had not actually been dry cleaned at all. Some had been ironed, some had not. They still looked the same (spots and all), and they still smelled the same. The last time this happened I could still smell the salad dressing that had soiled one garment and my sweat on another. It was very clear to me that the garments had not been cleaned but were passed as such because they had been ironed and stuck in some plastic. This place may be cheap but you get what you pay for . worst experience ever and I hope people will learn from me and not take your clothes there.. I took a brand new dress I had worn once to them on Friday afternoon 09/7/2012 to be picked up satruday for a funeral Monday . I got the dress home and didnt look at it til Sunday . Not only had they a ripped a button off , but EVERY single button was gone and there were threads sticking out everywhere . They had to have noticed what they did and didnt even bother to mention it when we picked it up . My husband who is more calm at these situations called them Monday morning . they told him they were not responsbile for buttons or pins espically if they arent on the garment well..they also told him to bring buttons in and they would sew on for free...guess what ...you lost the damn buttons how the heck do I bring them to you.....this dress was still BRAND new and was inspected before drop off..Each button was very well attached . It looks like someone sat there and pulled each one off.. They not only took no resonsibility , but never apologized . this pissed me off even more . so I called 3 times during buisness hours getting a machine each time ...finally I leave a message and have never received a call back . This is such a poor , dishonest , and disrespectful way of doing buisness . I would rather go somewhere that charges a little bit more, and have better quality of service and customer care ...which is something RICKS CLEANERS ON WILLIAM CANNON is lacking .just all around terrible service !!!!!!!!!!!!!..
