The Shaken Steak (Bo Luc Lac) is excellent. (But is a bit on the sweeter side.) It comes with a separate container for each item, beef, salad, and the rice. They also give you lemon, pepper with a lemon for dipping -- a sign they know how to serve this much-loved Vietnamese dish in the traditional style. The beef is cooked with a nice wok sear, dark brown in color, but not over cooked. Take it to go, the dining are is only three small tables and the ambiance leaves much to be desired. We've ordered since opening and tonight was a major blunder! When the food was delivered our pork egg rolls were under cooked and crushed, the "hot and sour" soup was some sort of awful seafood smelling broth and the cream cheese puffs were cold. Later we found that the shrimp fried rice must have been made with old or overcooked rice. They sent replacement egg rolls that were vegetable not pork, the cream cheese puffs were still lukewarm. Never been to this place before but the food looked great online. I walked in and was greeted by two ladies. They were super friendly and happy! Old Hoisin sauce packets was given first time I ordered from them. My pho was skimped on. Wasn't even enough broth. I recently ordered again this week as my second time giving them a shot. I wish I hadn't. My lettuce wrap order was terrible. I called today to let them know not even wanting a replacement order just to let them know that certain ingredients are obviously old, giving them a heads up and the older woman who obviously manages it it's like a two or three person operation. She waved me off & made excuses. Even told me that was yesterday. Sorry you didn't call so I can't do anything for you. I told her my order was picked up late. They were closed so I couldn't call, but I followed up the next day! She said if I had the order come in and replace it I told her I was not trying to get another order. Just advise her. it went in one ear and out the other. I'm not even going to tell you guys all the things I observed when coming to pick up my order just know giving this place the benefits of doubt and trying to get twice was enough for me. This has been our close go to for quick Chinese food, even though they don't deliver. And it's been good, I would call us regulars. Tonight we go inside place our order in person and then go wait in our call due to COVID. They graciously bring it out, I'm thinking they're so nice! We get home open everything up and we have two entrees wrong and missing a order of crab Rangoon. Ok not the worst thing, I call up and am grilled about my order, I have to finally say I want these two entrees remade and the missing order of crab Rangoon, he hangs up in me. My husband and daughter drive back up to pick it up....he meets them outside and is argumentative then my husband gets mad and finally he goes inside to pick up the items and is completely rude to my husband, accusing him of ordering wrong and stating the crab Rangoon was in there, he knows they were in there. My husband finally says look, we order all the time, you do what you want and the owner/manager (male) finally hands over the items. I spent over $65 for 3 entrees and a few apps, I have the right to get what I ordered. Not included vegan family, specially said tofu and got beef... Spent the whole day in the hospital and wanted to just pick up a quick easy dinner but got a fight instead. We were pretty disappointed with this place, but some of it may be explained by cost cutting due to covid or maybe they just had a bad night. pros -The food arrived quickly -The fried dumplings were ok, but it may have been simply because the other food was so bland. cons -Even though the food arrived quickly it was barely warm -The fried rice was mushy -The pork eggrolls tasted like shrimp (I suspect they were fried in the same oil as shrimp tempura or something.) and they were mushy inside. -The sweet and sour was like water with red coloring. Literally no taste and it would not stick to the chicken or the eggrolls. -The portions were smaller than your average chinese restaurant. Again, that may be due to covid cutbacks. -Even though we ordered an entrée there was no fortune cookie. Really? No fortune cookie? This is a covid cutback I cannot accept. Maybe they forgot to put one in there, but still. No fortune cookie with a chinese dinner is sacrilegious. summation- we usually give restaurants second chances, but maybe not this time. I placed an order around 2:00 pm to be delivered at 6:15 that same day, and 10-minutes after placing my order, someone from the restaurant called to verify. My order arrived at 6:16 pm, and it was still warm. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and Wonton Soup for myself, and the kids sized sweet and sour chicken for my daughter. The food was good. Neither my daughter or I had any complaints. It arrived warm and tasted fresh. I thought the price point was reasonable. I ordered takeaway using Yelp. My order was ready ten minutes after I ordered. I got it home and it was still piping hot yum! They use quality plastic to go containers instead of the cheap paper ones. I got the Thai basil with chicken for myself and the kids honey chicken and lemon noodles for my son. They were both tasty. The portion sizes are perfect for sharing or having leftovers. My order was $14 so not bad considering we can make two meals each out of what we ordered. Yelped Chinese food while in the area, leaving the doctor. My little one wanted sweet and sour chicken as a reward for a good checkup. It was nice. I tried the jalapeño shrimp and kids' S&S chicken. It's a walk-up counter order place with four small tables. The service was excellent. Lunch portions were just enough. I was only slightly saddened they would let me substitute extra veggies for my rice(they would for an extra $2 on an already $10 lunch plate, but I declined). There's not much of a sit down atmosphere to talk about- it is what it says it is- a place to get Vietnamese and Thai food to go. I may not be from that part of Asia, but I do know a good red curry, and the red curry I got from here was , well, bad. The curry itself tasted off- I suspect the coconut milk got burnt when they were making it. The vegetables were cut in a way that required a knife to eat and the base flavor itself, was completely off. There was no hint of that keffir lime that is so unique to Thai food. Unless you live here and are in a raging hurry, I wouldn't recommend. But the service was Quick. read more

Surprisingly good choices and great tastes for a new place. Seems that they finally opened the location, as I was watching for almost a year, and the wait was long overdue and worth it. On this end of RR620 there is only one other "asian" styled place to eat at and it is a proper sit down sushi place with great owners, but here it is what is says it is "Rice2Go".. you go in and order take out. (There are a few chairs to sit if you desire) [the other "asian" place is all the way down near IH-35/Round Rock High School.. that's a long travel on a busy day) The staff was still "new" and I hold nothing against them for trying to figure out the touch screen register. I mean seriously, I work with software and items like this daily; it can be a bugger to figure out customized orders on a new interface... they did great. My order was: Chicken Chili Lemongrass with steamed rice, Low Mein Noodles, Fried Won Ton (pot stickers), Chicken Fried Rice, hot-n-sour soup, and an egg roll. So I got a good variety of the menu. My friend ordered a few other items like their Pho and he enjoyed it well considering it came from a small shop that does not specifically specialize in Pho. Overall, I really did enjoy my spicy Chili and Lemongrass as they compliment each other. It had the spicy and light flavor that I wanted; since lemon grass is fragrant to the nose and the palate (I cook with it when I can), and it was savory when mixed with the steamed rice. The hot-n-sour soup was good, pot stickers were good, and when I ate the chicken fried rice the next day (re-heated) it was good as well. All in all, this location made a good impression on me for its close proximity to this end of RR620 for "get it and go" Chinese/Vietnamese food and the costs were pretty good.
