This place is really tasty! We ordered through Yelp, and it gave us an estimated time of like 85 minutes until our food would be ready. I'm pretty sure our food was ready for pick up after only about 10 minutes. So I suggest calling in and placing your order that way if you're taking to go. Everything was very fresh, you could tell it was all made to order. My only small complaint was that my pho did not come with the typical sprouts, basil, jalapeños and limes. I don't know if this is just how this place serves it, or if it was forgotten in our order. The broth in my soup was great, and my husband's beef and fried rice were also delicious. I think he ordered Mongolian beef, I'm not really sure. This place is really close to our house, so I'm really happy it's good! We'll definitely be back! read more

Pretty good for go to Chinese spot. I've resigned myself that the Chinese food is just not ever going to live up to what I've had previously, so you get the same overly sweet sauces, bland fried rice and spring rolls. But Rice2Go has a pretty tasty consistency that will make it one of my go-tos. Plus they have a pretty awesome staff that is always kind when I pickup. This area is lacking in good Thai/Asian cuisine. Rice 2go offers diversity in food choice that is easy to order online, has fast pick up and good quality food. They have great pho with many options on what you want in it. Delicious vermicelli bowls with generous meat helpings. As well as all the "classics" for people who are looking for comfort food. There's not much space to dine in, but as the name states it is "2 go." It's a healthier, higher quality, and more options 5.0 version of a Panda Express. I love panda. So that is saying a lot! My family of five has enjoyed everything on their impressive menu. The food is fresh and perfectly cooked. My 9 year old said he could eat the pho every single day! This is my go-to spot for pho. Not only because it's the closest but because it just hits the spot like the other places don't. I always get the Pho Bo Vien (w/ Beat Meatballs) & my husband gets the Beef Pad Thai. The Pad Thai is a big portion & doesn't come with rice or anything, jut fyi. The portion is big enough for my husband to save some after eating. The Thai Iced Tea tastes a little off but not enough to make me not get it! Love this place! My favorite fast food Chinese restaurant so far. The food has great flavor, the portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly. FYI- they offer brown rice for a dollar or two extra (seems to always be available); and they do not pack food in styrofoam containers. In addition to Chinese food they offer a couple curry dishes that remind me of Thai/Chinese fusion...also very good. The egg rolls that come with the combo, while smaller, seem more flavorful than those ordered a' la carte {always in search of a good egg roll}. Ask for no MSG and they write it in big lettering on your order, while probably not 100% free of all forms, they seem to do a great job of honoring your request. Oh, man. Having a carry-out place this good this close is going to be dangerous. Once I realized Rice2Go was actually a restaurant and not just an oddly over-specialized rice store, I decided to give them a try. I ordered online through Eat24 for pickup, and it was ready lightning-fast, as befits a good carry-out. I live about five minutes away and by the time i grabbed my keys and put my shoes on, that was just long enough. They have a surprisingly full menu for a carry-out/delivery place, which was nice, but I stuck with my tried-and-true evaluating-a-new-Chinese-place standby (General Tso's, Hot and Sour Soup, Fried Rice). I got the lunch combo and the portions were perfect. The soup was very, very good, appropriately both hot and sour. Eggroll was crispy; the vegetable filling is a little basic (i.e. almost entirely cabbage), but that's OK. Rice had the very yellow color of saffron; it was well fried but just a little under-seasoned, easily remedied with a little soy sauce. The sauce on the chicken was outstanding, the broccoli nice and crisp. The only thing that let it down was the breading on the chicken, which was a bit soft, but overall everything looked and tasted great -- better than a lot of sit-down places in the area. So... do they dethrone the guys down the street for best Asian in west Round Rock? Well, no. The food was really, really good -- way better than I'd expect from such as small space -- but it still can't quite compete with a really good sit-down restaurant. That said, it's better than a lot of them, and the convenience of a carry-out place with such hassle-free online ordering through Eat24 can't be beat. Overall the food was ok. I've had better and worse. The Mandarin Moo Shoo was nice - nicely cooked yet crisp veggies, pork wasn't tough or stringy and it wasn't greasy or drowning in sauce. The egg rolls and steamed dumplings were bland, but not inedible. The egg rolls came with a bright red unlabeled sauce - sort of like a sweet/sour sauce, but without the sour. It was just sweet. No real other taste than that. My husband enjoyed his Xa Ot (Hot chili lemongrass) w/ chicken. He had the same opinion of the egg rolls and dumplings. He also had the wonton soup which was in his words, 'unremarkable'. The one really off-putting part of our first experience here was the service. The online ordering system had us select rice or noodles as part of our entrees. When he came to pick up the order the employee was grouchy and mumbled something about one of the entrees not coming with rice. Well, if it's part of the online menu, how is the customer supposed to know that it's not supposed to be ordered with the entree? I believe my Mandarin Moo Shoo was the culprit. Instead of just giving us the $.20 of rice as the side and apologizing for any confusion, they gave us three servings of wonton soup and no rice. Husband did not realize this until he had already braved a massive rain storm on his way home and opened the bag to distribute the foods. It was not worth it to go back.
