Salt and Salt & Pepper Pork Chop

The curry fried rice was very delicious and pork chops as well. However, that being said I was very unhappy with how much pork chops it contained. That serving is not worth $20. I was so disappointed and sad. I'm only giving three stars for the fried rice and how good the pork chops tasted. Please kindly either lower the price or increase the serving size. Thank you.

Fried rice, salt and pepper pork ribs, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, bok choy

Rice Express was delicious. I love Chinese food and this place delivered exactly what I was craving. I usually order the same thing as ordered in the photo I provide at every Chinese establishment, that way I have a good criteria to personally grade Chinese food. This place delivered flavorfully and quantity wise. The meat was crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The sauces were unique as every establishment has their own touch to the sauces, but I truly loved the flavors here. Another thing to note, I usually get what I call MSG fatigue when eating Chinese food, but I found myself eating lots of it without that fatigue. I ordered delivery so I can't say much to the service, but this place delivered (food wise and delivery wise). This place had the Dyllan Guarantee.

My new go-to Chinese restaurant! I've only had takeout from this place, but it has never disappointed even when they got my order wrong once; everything on the plate was still so tasty. My favorite dishes are the Sweet & Sour Pork, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and the Bok Choy. The chicken is crispy and everything has such an amazing flavor. Service is quick and everything is hot and when you order multiple things, they put it in a box, easy for transport. So excited to try more!

Mixed vegetables with Beef

Delicious, great service, fresh food. Always friendly. Jalapeño check and walnut shrimp are the best.

Wor Wonton Soup

Sheldon was very hospitable and friendly. Food was prepared quickly. Wor wonton soup was 4 stars, good amounts of green vegetables, wontons and shrimp plus a few strips of pork. Dinner plate was okay with Mongolian beef and chow mein, came with a bowl of soup and an egg roll.

Chicken chow mein

Manchurian beef and chicken chow mein were GREAT. They made the food within 15 minutes and it was fresh and hot. The beef was crispy and the sauce is sweet but not overwhelming. I will be back!

Hair in my congee

Found multiple hairs in my congee, this is disgusting and I've never had this happen to me before. Total we found 3 strands of hair, and that's only what I found before I tossed it all out. Won't be back and I don't think anyone should. Nasty. Avoid!

Food was not bad. Quick service. Ambiance is nice. 4 stars won ton soup. Overall was good. Broth was so so. Wontons were a bit small. Pork and cabbage was good. 4 stars chicken fried rice. Rice was good. Only had a little bit of chicken in the rice.

I was in Folsom, so I decided to stop in for a bowl of congee. Not nearly as many restaurants make it as used to. The restaurant was clean and bright, and the gentleman who helped me was very polite. They have a large menu, including lunch specials, I decided to go with the fish congee. When I asked him what type of fish, he said "cod." he asked me if I wanted ginger in it, and I said yes. It came in a big bowl, there was a good amount of fish in it, and the congee itself was, rich, creamy, and very tasty. The ginger gave it a nice little "kick". The price was reasonable. I would love to come back. Thank you.

Good portions but the quality of food is just like any other regular Chinese restaurant. Not to the level of FATS or P.F.Changs

SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. Have a great day!

Since it was our first time, we ordered a bunch of items to try. The pan-fried pork buns: were a highlight! Crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and filled with a clean, juicy soup that didn't have that heavy ginger taste. The soup dumplings xlbs had perfect, delicate skins and were incredibly juicy; the classic pork and the crab & pork were my favorites. The pork xlb had tender meat and was juicy, flavor was clean, the crab one is definitely for the seafood lovers, it has a nice SF umaminess too like a crab roe fishball lol. Other standouts included the spicy wontons in a great chili oil sauce and the truffle Angus beef fried rice, which featured surprisingly tender beef and a subtle, well-balanced truffle flavor. For dessert, the chocolate xlb, was excellent and tasted just like a strawberry Nutella crepe, though the matcha version was a bit too concentrated and bitter for my liking. Overall, the food came out quickly, the staff was friendly, and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

There's a nice parking lot and, the collection of restaurants/stores in this little plaza give a nice vibe. There isn't a ton of seating inside; you kinda get an idea from some of the various Yelp pics.... and, there are a couple tables outside as well. The Food: - Pork Xiao Long Bao: this was fine...... I guess it's about as good as my memory of Journey to the Dumpling. Honestly, I'd say it's in the ballpark of goodness as the frozen Mila XLBs you can buy at Costco. again, Din Tai Fung has kinda ruined XLBs everywhere else I've gone since no one else comes close. - Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao: this had an odd tanginess to it.. like there was a bit of kimchi in it or something... I didn't care for it (and, I do happen to love kimchi).. and, it wasn't very spicy either. pass on this one. - Spicy Wonton: this was probably the best thing I had here. it was fine. not particularly spicy. and a bit salty. but, it was fine. - Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns: I think the filling in this is the same as the XLBs... you just get it in a pan-fried bun instead. I think I actually preferred the regular XLBs bc the larger size of this thing made it kinda hard to eat. - Garlic Noodle: I don't know what I was expecting here... and, I know I shouldn't expect Crustacean (just like I shouldn't expect Din Tai Fung) bc this certainly wasn't anything like Crustacean. These were okay.... the flavor of oyster sauce dominated my palate in an unpleasant way. - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: these were okay. they ask if you want them spicy or mild. I got mine mild, but I probably should've gotten it spicy. The outside was nice and crispy, but the wing itself was kinda bland despite being covered with chopped garlic. Other things: - The food comes out fairly quickly & scalding hot..... so, don't burn your mouth! - I'd never really thought about it before, but every place that serves XLBs should also have spoons with flat bottoms; this place does not have flat-bottomed spoons. I like to rest my XLBs in my soup spoon while it cools, and since these spoons had rounded bottoms, my dumpling was always kinda lying sideways. - There's only one single-room unisex bathroom in the back, which is probably fine for the size of the restaurant; though, I did get stuck waiting behind a couple people when I needed to use it. so, I guess if you're not an XLB snob like myself & find Journey to the Dumpling and frozen Mila XLBs to be fantastic, then you may like this place quite a bit.... but I was rather disappointed....

I do love the big space with lots of tables to choose and the seating area is really spacious. I really like the service they were on top refilling the broth and of course refilling the water and making sure we had enough of everything. I tried two hot pot bowls and the first one I tried is their stinky tofu with pork. The stinky tofu was fermented and has a special smell it is really authentic and if you know you know. The pork slices was really thinly packed and there was a lot of it and they were very generous portion. I love how the bowl had a lot of seafood and vegetables and other miscellaneous items. I got Mild spicy with it and it had the perfect kick to it. The other bowl that we had was the Lobster Seafood bowl and this bowl is a little bit bigger and it had a lot of seafood it was like an endless bowl of seafood and veggies. Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. I love cucumber salad, so this was a major disappointment. Rate: 0/10 * Chili Wonton: Super plain with literally no flavor. I love chili wontons, and these were completely tasteless. Imagine eating wontons with absolutely no seasoning. Rate: 0/10 * Chow Mein: This was okay--probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Rate: 3/10 * Black & Gold Molten Lava Bun: It looked interesting with a sweet, glittering liquid gold filling inside, but it wasn't as good as it looked. While the bun was soft, the filling fell short. Rate: 2/10 * Shrimp & Pork Shaomai: Just okay. We've had much better elsewhere. The outside wraps were dried out and chewy.
