The serving size is a bit too small. Even the large bowl felt like a small bowl in any other restaurant. The food overall was alright. I got the Deluxe Bun Cha Gio, Vietnamese Special Beef Deluxe, Fried Rice Special. The Bun Cha Gio didn't come out hot, it was warm, the same as the other two. If the food was actually hot, it would be more enjoyable.

I had a vegan dish with the soy protein and I loved it. I don't live close otherwise I would be frequent. :3

**Update 4/20/2020 - TakeOut during COVID** This place is so solid. They're not on DoorDash, but maybe one of the other take-out services (?) So, this family run business soldiers on, 30+ years later. You know they are doing food the right way! Love how crispy and fresh are their veggies. Though i personally am a devoted carnivore, they make great vegetarian dishes. Love the Ginger chicken, lemon chicken, and bun chao gao (think happy plate/ salad). Also, the spring rolls are magnificent. Be sure to visit the family during these troubled COVID times. They do a great job with takeout packaging - food always ready quick!

We met the lovely owners of the restaurant who treated us with great respect and friendliness which I appreciated! We shared their vegan pho, which had a very savory broth with a hint of sweet flavoring. I especially enjoyed the noodles and the tofu that they used. We also shared their happy rolls with brown rice wrapping. The peanut sauce that came with the rolls was a delicious complimentary dip that enhanced the taste of the yummy vegetables. Finally, we tried their noodle pizza, which I like to describe as deep fried pho noodles made into a pizza with vegetable and sauce toppings. We used their hoisin sauce and hot sauce to add an extra kick to each bite. This was the most interesting fusion of Vietnamese and American cuisine that we certainly did not expect, but we were glad we decided to try it. Overall, I would gladly come back again to try their other Vietnamese dishes. They really do a great and unique job with vegetarian and vegan inspired versions of otherwise traditional Vietnamese food.

We tried Ri Le's for the first time. The service was friendly and good. The prices are decent. The outside is very plain, but the interior ambience was very nice. They have several vegetarian options. The five us enjoyed our main dishes, but most didn't consider it the best food we've had. However we will probably try it again and try some other options. We were disappointed that there were no descriptions and/or pictures on the menu. So, we used Yelp pictures to get an idea of some foods. I am a huge pizza fan, so I was intrigued to try the Vietnamese Noodle Pizza. It was unique and very good. The crust is made from noodles with egg as a binder, topped with a blend of veggies, soy meats and cilantro, and a side of a cilantro sauce with a bit of spice. The Happy Rolls served with a peanut sauce were very delicious and a hit with everyone. The other dishes we had were the Chicken Soys with Cashew, Chicken Soys with hot Garlic Sauce, Chicken Chowmein, and a Chicken Fried Rice.

Ordered from Postmates. The broth was decent but unfortunately my chicken pho didn't come with the sides separate like most pho restaurants offer In Tulsa. It was all mixed together and by the time it got here (1.5 hour) it's was soggy. I ordered a large bowl and it was small compared to other restaurants. I probably won't order pho from here. But maybe something like else if I decide to try again.

A Tulsa classic supporting my vegan diet for decades. Just be sure they understand you want to avoid fish sauce.

I ordered the Pho with steak and brisket and the shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were light and flavorful with a touch of cilantro to brighten each bite. The peanut dipping sauce was wonderful with just a bit left over. The Pho was just the right size. I ordered Medium with chicken broth. The accoutrements... onion, cilantro, jalapeños, bean sprouts, rice noodles, and lime wedges allowed me to customize my experience. Each bite was perfect and the jalapeño slices added a nice bit of flavor and heat. Prices are reasonable. Quality was exceptional and food tasted fresh. Definitely worth checking out,

The restaurant operates similar to fast food chain. Hot tea was served in a to-go cup and not in a traditional tea pot. The pho vegetables plate was small with lemons instead of limes, unlike most other Vietnamese restaurants. The pho broth was sugary sweet. The broth was clear without any hint of grease. For a broth made by simmering beef bones, I would expect some grease inside. The noodles had good texture and the spring rolls were great. For casual diners, Pho Da Cao may be good choice. For me, the quality of the pho is not to my standards.

I had the Vietnamese combination pho as usual. The broth lacked flavors. The combination pho only had meatballs and rare beef. How's that even combination? The pho noodles were too soft. The rice papers used as the wraps for the fresh spring rolls were a little hard. I was not impressed with Viet Huong on this particular visit. This hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant used to be my favorite restaurant in Tulsa. That time has gone. Maybe, next visit will write a different story. I came back just to make sure my review was accurate. I tried both Bun Bo Hue (my favorite Vietnamese soup) and the Vietnamese pho. The pho broth was the same (mildly flavorful) but the noodles were more firm than last time. The Bun Bo Hue was comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa, but I would say none of them are exceptional. Good luck finding a Vietnamese restaurant that serves exceptional Bun Bo Hue in Tulsa like Pho Cuong in Oklahoma City.

I've eaten the Vietnamese pho at this restaurant several times along with a few other entrees. The pho bowl of this restaurant is too small making it difficult to fit all the pho vegetables inside, especially when they fill the small bowl almost to the rim. The best feature of the pho was the meats which are my favorite of all the Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa. The broth was okay, and pho noodles were soft without much texture. They always seemed to be out of fresh spring rolls, making me to doubt whether they even have them anymore. Service was very slow at Mekong River. On weekdays, there's usually only server available whether the restaurant is busy or not. The menu isn't big, which I appreciate. I ordered the Cornish hen over fried rice, and wow, that was a great choice. First of all, it comes with a soup of your choice, which turned out to be basically a mini pho. I was only expecting the broth, so that was a nice surprise. The broth was a bit on the sweet side, so keep that in mind if you prefer a different flavor profile--but I thought it was yummy. The main dish came out a little later, as they were short-staffed and running behind. That said, the lone waitress was killing it--serving all the tables by herself--and despite being quite busy, she was gracious and attentive. Now, the Cornish hen was fantastic. The skin was thin but perfectly crispy, and the meat was flavorful. The fried rice wasn't anything special, but it was topped with a fried egg, which I liked. The salad that accompanied the meal was fresh with a hint of sweetness that paired nicely with everything. Oh and as for the Vietnamese coffee, it was just alright. Overall, the meal was generously portioned and very reasonably priced. I'd say Mekong River is one of my top Vietnamese spots in Tulsa!
