Many people have told me that Ri Le's is the considered the best Vietnamese restaurant in Tulsa, and I have to check it out. After many hesitations, I finally did today. So is it the best? I really like the menu of Ri Le's. It's simple to navigate and does not offer a zillion entrees to choose from. The house special lemon grass spring rolls were really good. I couldn't really taste the lemon grass flavor until I've finished the second roll. I loved how tightly wrapped the rolls are which gave them a "springy" texture. The Vietnamese special chicken soup is extremely difficult to describe. No, I am just kidding. It was basically a cup of chicken "pho" with chicken broth, shredded chicken, Vietnamese rice pho noodle, bean sprouts, diced greens, cilantro, and basil leaves. A CUP OF CHICKEN PHO! The quality of the food at Ri Le's is pretty good. The pineapple beef had plenty of vegetables in the dish including tomatoes, green and red bell peppers, pineapples, snow peas, carrots, onions, Napa cabbage, celery, cassava root, and beef. Some places just have beef, pineapples, and onions in the same dish. So is Ri Le's the best Vietnamese restaurant in Tulsa? I guess so because I don't know any other Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa. And yes, I am not counting pho restaurants in the same category. What I do know is I left the restaurant with much left to be desired. read more

Ri Le's has been open for decades in various locations. It is still open and family run and we hope it goes on past our lifetime. The food is consistently delicious and of good quality. We love the place and the people who run it. My daughter, who has a specific diet, is always tickled that her voice and her order are recognized every time she calls. Ri Le's is comfort food for our family and whatever is in the "Special Soup" always makes a cold or flu easier, somehow. It's magic soup. read more

Portion size is a joke, and you'll get more meat next door at Arby's than in your food here.

The serving size is a bit too small. Even the large bowl felt like a small bowl in any other restaurant. The food overall was alright. I got the Deluxe Bun Cha Gio, Vietnamese Special Beef Deluxe, Fried Rice Special. The Bun Cha Gio didn't come out hot, it was warm, the same as the other two. **Update 4/20/2020 - TakeOut during COVID** This place is so solid. They're not on DoorDash, but maybe one of the other take-out services (?) So, this family run business soldiers on, 30+ years later. You know they are doing food the right way! Love how crispy and fresh are their veggies. Though i personally am a devoted carnivore, they make great vegetarian dishes. Love the Ginger chicken, lemon chicken, and bun chao gao (think happy plate/ salad). I just got done with a small Vegan Pho along with the Vegan Happy Rolls with Peanut Sauce. What a great Vegan takeout experience. Most people think Vegan food is bland. The Vegan Pho blew my tastebuds by surprise. Just one sip of the broth brought the words wow and a shake of the head of approval. Everything was superb. We met the lovely owners of the restaurant who treated us with great respect and friendliness which I appreciated! We shared their vegan pho, which had a very savory broth with a hint of sweet flavoring. I especially enjoyed the noodles and the tofu that they used. We also shared their happy rolls with brown rice wrapping. The peanut sauce that came with the rolls was a delicious complimentary dip that enhanced the taste of the yummy vegetables. Finally, we tried their noodle pizza, which I like to describe as deep fried pho noodles made into a pizza with vegetable and sauce toppings. We used their hoisin sauce and hot sauce to add an extra kick to each bite. This was the most interesting fusion of Vietnamese and American cuisine that we certainly did not expect, but we were glad we decided to try it. Overall, I would gladly come back again to try their other Vietnamese dishes. We tried Ri Le's for the first time. The service was friendly and good. The prices are decent. The outside is very plain, but the interior ambience was very nice. They have several vegetarian options. The five us enjoyed our main dishes, but most didn't consider it the best food we've had. However we will probably try it again and try some other options. We were disappointed that there were no descriptions and/or pictures on the menu. So, we used Yelp pictures to get an idea of some foods. I am a huge pizza fan, so I was intrigued to try the Vietnamese Noodle Pizza. It was unique and very good. The crust is made from noodles with egg as a binder, topped with a blend of veggies, soy meats and cilantro, and a side of a cilantro sauce with a bit of spice. The Happy Rolls served with a peanut sauce were very delicious and a hit with everyone. The other dishes we had were the Chicken Soys with Cashew, Chicken Soys with hot Garlic Sauce, Chicken Chowmein, and a Chicken Fried Rice. read more

Ordered from Postmates. The broth was decent but unfortunately my chicken pho didn't come with the sides separate like most pho restaurants offer In Tulsa. It was all mixed together and by the time it got here (1.5 hour) it's was soggy. I ordered a large bowl and it was small compared to other restaurants. I probably won't order pho from here. Food is always good. However, it is hard to walk out of there for less than $20 a person which is way overpriced for what you get. Also, the weight staff is horrendously rude. Before the owner stopped working due to health issues, the service was stupendous. Since he's not there to run herd, their attitudes really suck. Ok I was starving so most of my food has bites taken out of it, sorry lol. I'm a former Tulsa local who moved away and was in town for a visit. My dearest friend took me to eat some places I had never been. On this list was Ri Le's. Highlights for me were the egg rolls and the iced coffee. The egg roll was super hot and crispy. Really really good. Spring Roll was fresh, good texture. Their peanut sauce that came with it was awesome. I would have liked some fresh crushed peanut on top which it didn't have. I got veggie fried rice to try. It was different than most other fried rices I've had but the rice was cooked perfectly. It had a very strong garlic flavor that I loved. However, I was expecting larger pieces of veggies in it. The cashew chicken was not my favorite. I was eating it with my veggie fried rice when my friend suggested trying it with the white rice. This really brought out more of the desirable flavors. Service overall I would say was friendly and efficient. They did seem a little busy or short staffed. The server seemed agitated when we asked for our iced coffees and then again at the end of the meal when we needed to split the check. The first time I ate at RiLes my husband and I were not even married. We have now been married for 33 years. So I LOVE the Deluxe Bun I always get it. The food rarely disappoints. However something needs to be done with the young waitress that will not talk/smile/acknowledge your questions! A friend and I were there last week for lunch and the entire restaurant was talking about how rude she was/is. I have always been faithful to RiLes but I may have to change if there is not a change in this waitress's attitude. She will definitely run customers off even the old faithful ones. read more

I agree with some of the other reviews that this isn't necessarily traditional style Vietnamese food but it's his own spin on it. I enjoy both in the same. While visiting Tulsa for the weekend as a family, we decided to check out this restaurant based off a coworkers recommendation. It was quite empty on a Saturday afternoon at 1p so wasn't sure what to expect. This is a small family owned restaurant and seem very kind and humble. Our server was kind and answered my questions regarding recommendations on appetizers and entrees. We ordered the egg rolls which were pork filled. My family stated they were delicious, light, and crispy. And also got 2 large wonton soups to share. They found the wonton soup too salty. I ordered the vegan soup and it was so delicious! The broth was super flavorful, which is difficult when it comes to vegan. We ordered some non veg items for our parents to eat family style and a couple veg items for my husband and me. They had a whole page dedicated to vegan options which was nice! They had both soy based beef and chicken. The parents enjoyed the hoisen beef special, spicy ginger chicken, & lo mein. The chicken was spiced well (they asked for very spicy). We enjoyed the beef soy w lemongrass and chicken soy chow mein. We were expecting the chow mein to be thinner noodles and softer but it was crunchy chow mein noodles. Different than expected but still delish. The food was good and the service was as well. I took off a star because you can be talked into getting more food than you planned on and paying a large bill as a consequence. When I went, I ordered ONLY 1 item but more were brought out so I could "try their food." These items were all billed in the tab, so I paid for much more than I wanted to that night. After I asked if I'd be charged for the things I didn't order (I asked as soon as they were brought out), they explained in a way suggesting the items were on the house. I didn't want to be rude, so I didn't fuss about it, but please be wary going in. The staff is friendly, but I would recommend being incredibly clear (some of the staff doesn't know a lot of English) of what you order and specifying you will NOT buy anything else apart from what you ordered. Other than that issue, the food overall was good. The prices were much higher than I'm used to--and the food is FUSION, not strictly Vietnamese. I'm from California and despite the higher cost of living, you can get authentic Vietnamese food for a fraction of the cost. The portions aren't as big as I'm used to with other Asian restaurants either; we ordered 3 dishes and left without feeling full. Took off another star for price/portions. read more

This place, and Trang Le, are the only places in Tulsa to get vegan pho. It is delicious. The vegan pho is only on the to-go menu but, one can order it for dining in. Ri Le has a lot of other vegan dishes that are equally as good. Plenty of appetizers to choose from, plenty of entrees as well. The service is always great. They are friendly, quick, responsive, and able to answer questions about the menu items. This spot has remained in regular rotation for years and continues. I've never had a bad experience. This restaurant came highly recommended from a colleague and seeing that it was "authentic", two of my friends and I (2 Asians and 1 Hispanic) decided to try it. The menu looked nice and laminated, but had no descriptions of what was in the food whatsoever other than the name. I ordered their imperial rolls and my Asian friend and I ordered the Large beef pho. Our food arrived and the rolls were the smallest I've seen for vermicelli spring rolls... And their large bowl was a small size compared to at least 3 other Vietnamese places here in Tulsa (and any other pho place I've been to for that matter). When my Hispanic friend arrived, the same server came to her for her order and treated her completely differently: more cheerful and asking her what type of special way she wanted her dish to be made. So then all our food arrived, quality was ok... When we received our checks, the owner put mine and my Asian friend's together and I asked if he could kindly split it... He looked at it, then put it back down and told me what I owed (I guess to assume this is what I need to subtract when one of us decided to get the bill) and didn't bother getting another check. When we were eating, my hispanic friend noticed how much nicer the owners were to everyone else around us who were non-asian. I normally do not post bad reviews, even if the food isn't great but the audacity of the service really surprised me. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants around, thankfully, and definitely ones that both have quality food and quality service. read more
